17 Chapter 17.

As I was heading home I saw 1 guy and 2 girl were sitting together in a Dango shop. Seeing them I smiled and moved towards them.

Approaching them I said.

" Hey guys what are you doing. Eating alone without me."

3 people turned to look at me. Seeing my face they just turned back and started chatting again as if they don't know me.

Discarding their attitude I moved towards their table and sat beside a girl opposite to the couple sitting in front of me and took the Dango in front and started eating. They didn't care and still continued to chat.

Finishing all the Dango on the table. I couldn't control myself and asked them.

" Hey what did I do last time."

They looked at me as the Girl beside me said.

" You forgot about today we were meeting right. You always do this. How many times in these 4 years have you done this. Don't you ever learn. See even Sister-in-law Shizo is also angry today." Hearing this I sighed as I joined Anbu it really became hard to meet them. On occasions we could meet twice a week but if there is a task the time changes from weeks to months. It is really easy for friends to drift away with time but we 3 still stuck together and gather whenever I have time. Yes these 3 people sitting in front of me are Sarutobi Miko, Nara Shin and his Girlfriend Yamanaka Shizo.

Yes Shins girlfriend and this is arranged by their clan elder. This guy is truly lazy even in this case he just accepted the engagement. At first it was just a simple engagement but now these 2 are truly in love, living and facing Life and death many times they trust and believe in each other to their core.

When we knew about Shins engagement we were surprised and our mouth was wide open nearly fitting a egg. But after knowing the cause we supported him ( which he didn't need.). And here we are today. Because of Shins engagement it also changed the environment in the group since most of the times Shizo also comes which quickly raised complications in the group and in turn these complications caused the relationship between me and Miko quite ambiguous but because of my goals and work I let this matter rest. Miko also didn't ask much but silently supported and waited for me to truly accept her.

Sometimes we practice together and compete to check who is better encouraging each other in the pursuit of strength. Talking about strength. Miko is already an certified Jonin as a combat medic. Her medical level is as high as Jonin level but her strength is only at the initial stage of Special Jonin speaking in terms of level should be 32. Shin strength is only 2 levels less then me that is 36 and he is ready to take the test to become special Jonin after he can create his own team or go back to do his family of handling medicine trades between the clan and outside world. Shizo is similar in strength to Miko and since she always follows Shin lead this time should be same.

P/S : Yamanaka family ladies are gentle compared to Naras and Akimichi clans. Ino is of totally different breed. This is what I think. And as I am the author I wrote what I think.

Talking for a while and appeasing Miko for some time I returned home and started preparing. By the time I prepared the sun has already set as I headed towards the watch tower from where Anbu members are keeping an eye on the Uchiha clan making sure the other party doesn't do anything stupid.

Reaching their I directly entered the watch room. As soon as I entered I heard a sound of wind coming from all four sides Immediately jumping up I headed towards my left were the attack and also the closest one to me. Using body flicker I reached behind him and placed my sword at his neck. Seeing this all the members of his team stopped and took a careful look at me.

Before I could even ask why they attacked. All three of them threw their weapons away and Bowed towards me and asked for forgiveness. Scratching my head not understanding what happened, I let go of the ninja I had my sword on and asked someone to come and explain.

Hesitating for a minute one of them came forward and said.

" Theo senior we thought our task has been compromised and thought you came to attack us. So we attacked to defend ourselves."

" Didn't you get the notice that I was coming." I asked.

" It was when we were taking the scroll informing us of your arrival. That when a mishap happened and we came to think that mission has been compromised." He replied.

" Ok you don't need to worry Uchiha people already knew that village is wary of them and are monitoring. But you have to change your positions today after I head out. One of you should go and report that your mission might have compromised. There won't be any heavy punishment only a slight loss of merits. Understand." Hearing them I said.

"Yes sir." All of them replied and the one standing in front of asked someone to go and report while others stayed to tell me about the situation around Uchiha borders.

While they were arranging Information I thought back when they threw their weapons. Unable to contain myself I asked.

" Hey why did you guys threw away your weapons when you saw me.?"

Three of then looked at each they scratched their head as one of them came towards me and replied.

" Sir when were outside the village we heard some news about a Devil from Konoha many rogue ninja were particularly terrified at this name. When we returned to village we asked around and got to know that its your name. Even in Anbu your name has quite the fame as most of them say. ' Worthy of being a ninja from Kakashi seniors team. Ruthless to the extreme, A perfect shinobi'." Hearing this I didn't whether to laugh or cry.

I waved them away as I said. " Don't always believe in those rumors." As they left I started cursing the idiots in Anbu department for spreading rumors.

After a few minutes they spread a map in front of me and started to explain.

" Its easy to get into the clan lands of Uchiha. Its not that there is no one for; There are many people who work in the groups of 3 and keep a watch on their clan borders. But these guys are arrogant to the extreme not putting anyone into their eyes. They don't believe anyone has the guts to enter their house. So you can easily bypass but them." Listening to this I interjected.

" So why is Hokage-sama specifically entrusting me with this mission."

He replied.

" Because the place where they conduct meeting is very tightly guarded as all the Jonin members of Uchiha will gather and their Sharingan is open all the time so its nearly impossible to sneak up and listen to their conversations. Its also the reason you are summoned." I nodded and continued to look at the Map as they introduced some key points for this mission.

We waited for the Night to descend and headed our different ways they have cleared all the traces in this place and are going to another assigned by their captain. I don't know much about their new location and I don't need to know.

Nodding to them I quickly moved towards the Uchiha clan and waited for their security to pass though as I jumped through the walls and moved along the shadows heading towards my destination.

Detouring many houses I moved close to the destination. When I heard a slight rustling sound on my back. I quickly Dived into the darkness and looked back only to see a rat crawling out from its hole.

Sighing I continued on. Reaching the Decided range I jumped on a tree and waited for their next meeting.

Quite a few days passed occasionally some people would come but not many to perform a meeting.

Today just as I was dozing off I heard the sound of footsteps and saw a group off people coming with Uchiha clan patriarch as their head.
