Chapter 12.

Exiting the Stadium we waited for Sensei to come. As for who will become Chunin it will be decided in 2 to 3 days. But since i manage to impress Hokage-sama my Chunin place should be fixed. And for Shin he should also be able to become Chunin as Nara family is known for his IQ and he performed very well in Exams. Plus the support from his clan becoming Chunin should be easy. It's only Miko that makes us worry well Hokage-sama is her Grandpa so there shouldn't be any problem. Throwing away these thoughts i stood with others while chatting about our weakness and how we could have done better.

After a few minutes Sensei came out, beaming at us he said.

" Both the finalists are from my team. Haha. Let's see how those old guys face will be when they hear this. Hehe, let's go today's dinner is on me."

Dinner because it was already evening when the Exams ended and now that we have waited for Sensei for some the sun has already set and night filled the sky above the village.

Heading towards the Barbecue shop we qll laughed as we discussed about the exams. Some silly things we did, etc.

At this time Miko Interjected by saying.

" Hey what are your plans after becoming Chunin."

We all paused as we exchanged glances.

I sighed thinking we can't always be together; anyway I replied first.

" Me, I will be joining Anbu under direct command of Hokage. It was his promise to me that if i win the competition that is if i become chunin in a year he will let me enter his personal organization from were i can contribute to the village."

Shin continued.

" I will joining Squad decided by the clan."

Miko looked at us sighing she said.

" Well I think I'll join the hospital to get some experience. After that Granda will allocate me to a squad as combat medic."

" I think this will be where we part ways."

we all sighed thinking about the good days, And tough training, Our first kill, Etc.

" Let's just party hard today. Future is not something we can decide. And we can have a get together whenever we have chance. Even if we will not be in the same team But we will still be in the village. So don't think too much we can meet whenever we want."

Seeing us like this Sensei Sighed as he also thought about his younger days. In this way we entered the Barbecue restaurant.

We partied all night even had some drinks. Just a little. Well we had more than little, Miko was carried away by sensei while Shin and me supported each other as we dropped on the floor in my house.

Second day, Getting up groggily i looked at the time 12:00 of noon. I first went and freshened myself. Coming back to the door i kicked Shin to wake him up.

" Hey let me sleep some more."

" If you don't get up I will throw you out of my house."

He got up looked around knowing what happened he just silently stood a while before heading out waving his hand at me.

" We will be in the village most of the time. So whenever you are free come meet us." His voice resounded in the hall as his back faded away from my sight.

I sighed as i understood since he will be allocated to his clans squad most of the time he will be free and be focused more on his training rather than merits. You can earn merits when you have corresponding strength. Title and such are just little names no one cares about. Its merits and corresponding rewards that everyone cares more about. Miko is also free since she will be either in her House or Hospital. Its only me since i will be joining Anbu which is responsible for various tasks. In Anbu division there is more task then people. So there won't be much time in future for me to hang out with them.

After 2 days I headed towards Hokage office to receive my Chunin vest and Certificate. Sensei came yesterday to give the good news. He also said that both Miko and Shin also passed the exam and are going to become Chunin.

I knew that Shin will definitely become Chunin but Miko surprised me. When i asked how she passed Sensei said.

" She gave another medic exam at the hospital right after the Chunin exams. Passing it and with her already good combat performance in Chunin exams She passed as a Combat medic. But she still has to get some experience in Hospital. Only after that can she get on to the field."

I nodded and felt happy that all three of us passed. We once again met and celebrated yesterday.

Reaching the Hokage office I knocked on the door and waited for Hokage-sama response.

" Enter"

Getting into the office i saw Shin and Miko already there with Sensei and Hokage-sama standing in front of them.

" Oh Tim get here we were just waiting for you" Sensei said.

Hokage-sama gave us Chunin vests and said.

" Now let me give you these vests. Its the result of your hard work. And i hope you continue to do so and protect our village and it's people."

We excitedly congratulated each other while Sensei and Hokage-sama looked at us with smile.

After a few moments Hokage-sama stopped us and said.

" Ok now you can go. Tim you stay there is someone waiting for you."

Sensei, Miko and Shin nodded and encouraged me as they headed out.

As the office got empty Hokage-sama looked at me and said.

" As I promised you can enter Anbu but the teams have their own internal selection criteria. You have to satisfy them otherwise you can only be a reserve member."

He clapped his hands and just after he stopped with a puff of a ninja in Anbu clothing stood beside. Hokage-sama nodded at him and turned to look at me and said.

" He will lead you to the Anbu. Best of luck. I have great hopes for your future."

Thanking him i quickly followed Anbu ninja who was rushing in the front without waiting for me.

Just after exiting Hokage building Anbu ninja accelerated nearly disappearing from my sight. I quickly used Body flicker to keep up with him.

He first circled the whole village and then entered an alley from where he mixed into the crowd and entered another alley were he got into a cheap run down store were he moved a small Leaf symbol leading for some mechanism to run as a shelf slid away revealing a passage filled of darkness. He continued to move onwards as i followed him Leading to a hall were many Anbu covering their were busy getting their task or submitting it, Exchanging their merits for jutsu or transferring it to their friends and family, getting information, etc.

He went towards an open window and a hoarse voice he said. " He is a new member register him."

The person on the window looked at me and without much emotion he said.

" Official Name. Code name. Rank and Select from among these"

He pointed towards the wall behind him covered with various masks.

I nodded at him and said.

" Name Tim, Code name Theo, Chunin and I want that Fox mask with black whiskers and black color marks."

The person registered all this and entered the back. Returning in a few minutes with a bunch of things in his hand Anbu costume and mask Guide book, etc.

Handing a package to me he nodded at theAnbu Standing beside me who also nodded back.

After this Anbu moved forwards on a different path which lead to an underground training room. Where 5 people stood exchanging some word between them.

2 ninja stood very close to each other while another Ninja teased them while other 2 stood there lazily watching the performance.

The anbu who led me entered the room and coughed slightly getting their attention. Seeing him everyone quietened down as they watched me with curiosity.

He looked and headed while i stood still waiting for him to speak.

He looked towards his companions and said.

" Hokage-sama entrusted him to us. Who among you is going to test him."

The one who was teasing earlier lazily said. "Let him choose."

Lead anbu looked at him and nodded turning to look at me he introduced.

" I am Hound." Which is quiet clear looking at his dog mask.

" Yamato" teasing guy introduced.

" Weasel." Calm voice sounded which was from the guy with a weasel who was watching the performance earlier.

" Crow" The one beside weasel said with a black color plain mask.

" Cat" A deep boice came from the cat masked girl. And how do i know this you will know soon.

" Dog" Just as he said his he started to cough.

I looked at them and bowed slightly while i looked at the Anbu named Hound and said with a voice full of fighting intent.

" I want to fight you Kakashi"
