Chapter 11 New enemy

A small horned rabbit screeched while struggling to escape from the trap.

"Only cowards lay traps."

I said and shook my head seeing the poor rabbit trapped.

"But for survival, you have to be coward and cruel."

I shot the rabbit to end his struggle. I then took the rabbit out of the trap and put it in my bag. I dismantled the trap since I didn't need it now and set off to find the nearest village.

On the next day, I found the rabbit in a trap that I set yesterday but since I had eaten leftover fish from last night so I didn't need it anymore. I would eat it at night unless I find a village.

"I have a bad feeling that something is not right."

I didn't know why but something was off from the morning. My [Intuition] doesn't work this way but I could feel the upcoming danger.

I heard a small sound from bushes far from me and my [Intuition] screamed f danger. Without taking any risk, I used air magic and climbed the tree in an instant, and covered myself.

It started to shake its body to throw me off from it but I was able to get off from it in time and landed on the ground..

I saw several notifications but didn't have time to wait anymore and ran away from that position after I wrote something on a tree.

A man with black hair and eyes along with his monster hound was slowly walking towards the position of the snake. He got a mental response from the Red-eyed snake that something was fighting him.

He took out the hound monster and rushed to the snake's position.

"What the?!"

He saw that snake was lying on the ground with blood flowing from its head and an arrow piercing its eyes.

"Grrr! How dare he kill my cute pets?! He will pay for this!?"

He grunted with anger and looked at the hound but shook his head.

"I only have this dog! Guess I have to take care of him myself." He said then ordered the hound, "Take me to his position. He is good at archery so I have to get close to him as soon as possible."

Both of them then dashed in the direction where Gil ran off to.

He didn't see a rune on a tree near him when he was talking to himself.

"So he only has his mutt left. I have to hurry and make traps!"

Luckily, I learned some sneaking magic before. I knew that he will come after his pet so I placed a magic rune that could record sound for a certain amount of time and then transmit it to me.

I smirked and use my mana to fly in the air so that his dog can't sense my scent. To make him confuse and buy time, I landed on a different position in 18 diameters of area including take a leak on a tree. I smirked and then left that area so that I could make traps and lure him.

"What is happing…?"

King Nisar was watching his son from a stony slab when he was not able to it anymore. It was like he lost his tracks.

Luckily, his wife was not around him or she would have choked him to death.

"My lord!"

He saw a teen with black hair and silver plate armor enter his throne room.

"What is it Daryun?"

Daryun, the nephew of Vahriz and the most talented spearman in Babylon. He is also likely will take the next position as commander in chief.

"Your majesty, I found the traces of monster tamer. He went in the direction of Simet Forest. His next target is likely the Simet Village near the forest." Daryun said with his one knee on the ground.

"What?! It is the place where Gilgamesh is taking the test!" King Nisar said to himself but Daryun was able to hear him.

"His highness Gilgamesh? Your majesty, please allow me to rescue Prince Gilgamesh. His life is in danger!"

King Nisar wanted to go himself but he didn't want to see the destruction his wife will cause so he decided to send Daryun on this mission. He was suitable for the job since he was strong and also fast.

"You are permitted." King Nisar said then took out a golden wand with a crystal on the tip. "Take this. It will help you find the direction of Gilgamesh. Make sure to take him here safely." King Nisar said then threw the wand towards Daryun who was able to catch it.

"Then I will do my best, your majesty!!" Daryun said and disappeared in few seconds.

"I hope that Gilgamesh is safe or-"

"Or what King Nisar?"

He heard a feminine voice and knew that his doom was coming.
