Departure

"That was really easy." I said out loud to everyone once I got to them.

Aliza shook her head at me. "Usually it's a lot more difficult than this, it's a good thing that it was just blood horses. They just charge at the first person who shows aggression."

"So that's why they chased me even after I had lost them. They carry grudges like the grinch."

Aliza smiled which made my heart flutter.

"No, they just care about their brethren a lot. If someone was to attack my mother or cousin then I would carry a grudge as well."

I looked around at the forest floor that was filled with the blood horses corpse.

"Did you guys spend an entire hour making makeshift ropes so that they could trip on it?" I was really curious. They were experts, so of course it would not take them a lot to set up ropes but to to make them.

"No, we wouldn't waste time like that. We were setting that thing up." Aliza pointed her thumb behind her back and as if on cue 2 giant golems appeared. The golems were humongous. They looked amazing. I watched in fascination at the giant blocks of walking metal. They had scribes on them starting from their head all the way to their feet.

They had a giant humanoid figure with heavy bodies that were made of stone. A single step of theirs sounded like a bullet. I watched in fascination at the technology that I had created. The golems picked up the blood horses one by one. You could imagine their size if you thought of them picking up a blood horses. Blood horses were bigger than normal horses.

The blood horses shrank on the arm of the golem. The golem then opened its stomach which revealed an empty hollow space. My mind was blown seeing it despite the fact that I had written about such golems. Writing about something and seeing the results were different. My mind was blown away.

"Wow, that is amazing!" I sighed in amazement. A metal golem that shrunk corpses and stored them in their body, if this existed back on earth then a lot of crime syndicates would own it.

"Is this your first time seeing that?" Aliza asked. I cleared my throat and shook my head. "No, it's not, it's just beautiful look at every time. No matter how many times I see it, it's just fascinating."

There was a small silence before Aliza disappeared. I sighed as I held my heart. My secret of it being my first time on an expedition was almost exposed.

"Hey." I called out to Carlton who was wiping his bow. "Sorry about before man, It was childish of me to clown you."

Carlton nodded. "Don't worry, it's cool. I also shouldn't have acted childish and threatened you."

"Here." I said as I handed him a bottle of water.

"What is this?" he asked.

"....a bottle of water.... i gave everyone one... if you don't want it you don't have to drink it but i just thought that you would be thirsty after all that work."

Carlton stared at me for a few seconds before grunting and drinking the entire bottle of water. It seemed like he really needed it. I also drank a bottle of water as well.

"Where did you get it?" he asked me.

"It was in the fridge." I replied.

I spent some time talking to Carlton. He didn't seem like that bad of a guy. In fact he was really friendly and had some jokes.

I also helped him in cleaning his bow and retrieving his arrows. Although he could buy a batch of new ones it would be terrible to waste the arrows that he already had. They were still usable since they were made out of heavy strong metal.

"Let's go guys." Eric called out to us and we followed. I went into the back of the humvee where I originally was in the first place. The crates were chained to the walls and the floor so that they would not slide and fall.

Although it was more cramped than before I could manage thanks to my anorexic body frame. Although I had gained a little bit of weight and muscle it was still manageable. Even if I wasn't and wanted to switch seats with someone they would refuse because their bodies were bigger than mine.

I sat in the back of the humvee. I thought about what the past 2 days had been like. I had died only three days and was reincarnated into the main antagonist of my story. I had been jumped, sent to the school infirmary, released, knocked out a few people and stole their luck, went gambling and delved into my memory and all of that was in 2 days. I had just acted bait for a stampede of homicidal flesh eating horses and yet I was still so calm.

At least I knew the calm potion was still working. The calm potion was something only unique to Damien. He was a herbologist and had a fascination with potions. There was several potions that he invented himself that would not exist anymore. I didn't have any knowledge in potions.

I was practically so caught up in my own thoughts that I did not even notice that the car had stopped and everyone had fallen asleep. Only after sensing the silence did I look around.

Everyone was asleep. Aliza, the healer, the old hunter guy, Eric and even Carlton who was driving the humvee.

I stayed still for 5 minutes. Everyone was asleep. It seemed like the sedatives I had put in the water bottles had finally taken effect.

I cracked my neck and got out of the back seat. It was time for me to get to work. I unbuckled Carlton's seat belt and moved him into the middle section where everyone was sitting. I then sat down in the driver's seat.

I added some size to my body until I was tall enough to reach the accelerator and brakes. I pressed down and took of. Thankfully back on earth I had managed to get my driver's license so I knew how to drive.

"Keep driving." a voice said as a cold piece of metal touched the back of my head. I looked into the mirror and saw that it was Aliza.

She held a pistol to my head. The cold metal touched the back of my head. I sighed as I continued to drive. It's not like I could fight her or outrun her. Besides, the calm potion was still in effect so it let me keep a cool head.
