Turning Against

Eijun went to meet at his place, but the twins greeted him on his way there. Isao and Isamu were told to get the brunet.

"Mima told you to get me." Eijun was confused because he never needed anybody to come to get him before.

"It's strange since Mima never asks us to do such tasks," Isao said.

They finally arrived in front of the building, but a loud explosion was heard before they could even go in. Eijun and the twins looked shocked when they saw the whole building was on fire.

"Mima-san!" Isamu called out their leader's name.

"Let me scan the building." Isao had the powers to see through anything. His eyes glowed bright after he was done. His eyes went back to normal.

"What did you see?" Eijun asked.

Isao shook his head. "I couldn't find him. I didn't see a body."

"I think Mima is fine. But that must be the reason he told us to get you."

Eijun stared at the building that was covered with a massive fire. Eijun couldn't look away, and in a moment, memories went inside his head.

He saw in his head the building he grew up in with his father. There Eijun met kids his age who were an experiment on. After his mother got into an accident, his father started to change. He saw things be done to his friends, and Eijun didn't like it. He volunteers to be an experiment on too. His father didn't like the idea, but Eijun didn't give up. Eijun told his father if he didn't, then he will kill himself.

The father gave in, and Eijun got to experiment on more than the rest. That experiment made Eijun lose who he was. Not a kind friend to everybody anymore. Eijun killed people to protect everybody but cold to them.

The friends didn't like the change and even offered to help, but Eijun ignores the idea. He was doing this for their sake.

The day the fire broke out was when his friends protected him even though he was supposed to be the one to do that.

A tear fell down Eijn's cheeks.

"I remember."

Eijun recalled everything and how he was. His father had died that day the fire appeared. At that time, Eijun didn't care since the man who raised him had become an unloving father but one that uses others.

Eijun realizes he had become like that man. Cold, distant, but he still cared for his friends.

"Are you okay?" Isao asked.

"Yes. I believe Mima is still alive. For now, let's get out of here."

"Where will we go?" Isamu asked.

Eijun realized that the twins were living with Mima.

"Come stay with me."

Eijun keeps bringing people with him, and he can't help it.

Once they left the area, the twins and Eijun heard the firefighters arrive to take out the fire.

When they arrived at EIjun's home, Rio greeted the brunet but was confused by the two strangers. But the little guy didn't look afraid of them, the fact they smelled like EIjun.

"Who's the little guy?" Isao asked.

"His name is Rio. I found him locked up with the kids that had been an experiment on."

"Are the kids okay?" Isamu asked.

"Yes. I took them somewhere safe."

The twins had happy expressions on their faces. It seems they cared about people like them.

Eijun thought he would find out more news but instead got the news of shock.

"What are we going to do now?" Isao asked. He looked unsure about things.

"I need to meet up with somebody," Eijun said. "I don't know if he will want to see me, though."

"An old friend."

"Yes."

"I have to go back to where it all started. Even it means that I have to face the past."

The twins and even Rio wanted to come with Eijun, but the young man said no. It wasn't a place that they should be in.

Eijun wondered if the others and Kazuya would show up.

The travel was a little far since it was the place that Eijun wanted nothing to do with.

When the young man arrived in front of the building, he never wanted to return to Eijun didn't know how to feel.

He stood there in silence for a moment before taking his first step into the building. It was quiet and strange. Nobody has been in this place for a long time since the fire.

Eijun can't recall how the fire even happened.

Eijun's father was acting strange that day, but even so, the experiments didn't stop.

The young man went down to the basement where the experiment happened. Eijun remembers that even a woman was an experiment on, and she was pregnant. The woman believed that the people there would save her, but she died with the unborn baby.

If Eijun knew about everything, then maybe he could have saved that woman and child too. He was a kid and didn't know anything until after what his father and the other researchers were doing.

"It has to be here." Eijun stopped in his tracks when he heard a voice.

Eijun peeked into the room in the basement and saw a man, an older man who looked worn for his age.

"I will take these samples and create a new world." Eijun looked at what the man had in his hand.

"That's," Eijun remembers those were his DNA samples. Those what they experiment on him on to save everybody else.

"What are you doing?" Eijun entered the room, surprising the older man.

"Who are you!" He shouted. The older man didn't think that anybody would be here.

When Eijun saw the face, he recognized the man right away.

"Your that man." There was disgust in Eijun's voice when he spoke. This man had tortured his friends a lot without care. He kept on torturing them even when they couldn't move. Anger rose, and as much as he wanted to kill this man, he needed to find out something.

"Why are you here?"

"Why should I tell you!" The man wasn't listening.

"Everybody died in the fire, so why are you alive?" Eijun asked.

"You!" The older man seemed to recognize Eijun finally. "You're Sawamura's son." The man didn't look pleased. "You ruined my plans back then."

Eijun was replaced to be an experiment when he found what this man was doing.

"And I'm glad I did," Eijun said.

"Give back my weapons!"

Those remarks made Eijun mad that a dark aura surrounded him.

"They are not tools for you to use!" Eijun powers slammed the man against the wall. "How dare to speak ill of them that way?"

Eijun didn't understand why this man was still alive.

"DIdn't I kill them all?" Eijun stop when he realizes what he was saying."

"Kill." Eijun started to laugh all of a sudden. "How could I forget something important?"

"You still have the mysterious power. Because of you, all my research was gone, my weapons."

Eijun throws a sharp knife at the man's right shoulder. He cried in pain.

"Speak of them like that again, and you're dead."

"Y-You M-Monster!"

"You finally realize that. Haven't you been calling us that all this time?" Eijun smirked.

"You're the reason for everything. Y-You even killed your own f-father."

Eijun heard somebody from behind but could tell who it was.

"Ei-chan." There was a surprise in his tone of voice.

Eijun turned to meet Kazuya's eyes.

"Did you really kill your own father and everybody else?"

Eijun was unsure if the man in front of him was happy or no. He couldn't tell the expression on his face.

Kazuya didn't think that Eijun had killed anybody when they were kids, but he was wrong.

"I had to do to protect everybody."

Kazuya thought that Eijun was naïve as a child, but he was wrong. They were all wrong about him.

"I thought I didn't kill anybody. But that was wiped from my mind until I came back here."

"Even your own father."

"Father? He wasn't my real father."

"What?"

"I didn't tell anybody, but that man had killed my real parents. He acted like a father, but I found out the truth. He killed them to get me. I had special abilities before the experiments. My parents wanted to hide me from the world from people like him."

"So, does that mean before we met that you had powers?"

"Indeed. That man didn't experiment on me until I found out about what they have been doing to my newfound friends."

Eijun always wondered why the man agreed to experiment on him. His change was heart was quick, and it all made sense.

"The fire accident was the start, but I never thought I would be separated from you all."

Eijun never predicted that to happen.

"You betrayal S-Sawamura, your f-father!" The man in pain cried.

"He was never a Sawamura, so don't make it seem like he is."

Kazuya then looked at what the man had in his hands.

"Those are." Kazuya was suddenly angry at what this man would do if he would tell the world.

Kazuya didn't stop to hesitate and attacked the man with his invisible powers. Unlike Eijun, who barely attacked him, Kazuya had done worse and even killed him.

"You killed him."

"I had no choice. He would do the same to others like us. Were you planning to keep him alive?"

"I had plans for him, but that's not a bother."

"What are you talking about?"

Kazuya didn't expect them to end up in a meeting like this. It wasn't supposed to be this way.

"When I was a child, I had already come up with a plan. I decided to kill my fake father and everybody else who did wrong. But I forgot my past until I met everybody one by one. My world came back."

"Ei-chan!" Kazuya tried to reach for Eijun, but then he disappeared.

Kazuya had a bad feeling about this. He had to regroup with the others.

Haruichi and Ryosuke had just gone home after doing some errands. They went to greet their father, who still in the workshop.

The father didn't look good. In fact, he looked pale.

"Dad," Ryosuke called out to their father.

The man turned to their son and acted like nothing was wrong.

"Is something wrong? You look pale." Haruichi asked.

The door to the workshop opened once again, and this time it was Eijun who stepped in.

The brothers didn't expect to see Eijun since he has been distant for a while now.

"You know I never expected you to were one of them, Mr.Kominato."

"What are you speaking like that?" Haruichi was confused by Eijun's tone. It was different. It wasn't the way his friend spoke before.

"I always wondered why I felt strange being near you. I always thought it was before I saw you as a father, but that wasn't it."

The man looked at the young man. He was unsure where this was going and why this young man was speaking strangely.

"The lab building. The experiments and those kids." When Kominato heard those words, everything made sense.

"Who are you?"

"I'm the one who started those fires and killed the man who pretended to be my father."

"You're that young child." The father was shocked by this news.

Eijun wanted to kill this man right now, so he ready his hands to use his attack, but before he could, Akira appeared out of nowhere.

"Stop it!"

There was a moment that Akira swore he saw Eijun's eyes change colours. Eijun backed away from Akira and knew he couldn't do anything.

Akira didn't know what was going on but knew something was wrong with Eijun.

Eijun knew he couldn't do anything now and disappeared.

Right then, he heard a call from Kazuya asking everybody to come to him. It sounded important.

Eijun made his way back home to his apartment.

"You look exhausted," Isao said when Eijun came home.

"I'll bring you some water." Isamu went to the kitchen to get him fresh water in a glass.

Rio was sitting on Eijun's lap, trying to comfort him.

"I might end up doing something horrible," Eijun said. "Even so, will you guys stay with me?"

"What are you talking about?" Isao asked.

"My past is coming back, and I need to fix it."

"I'm not exactly sure what you mean, but Mima wanted to protect you, so that I will do too."

"What he said," Isamu said.

"Rio agrees. I want to stay with Ei-chan."
