Chapter 2: The Same

It was another day at the workshop, and Eijun was working hard as usual. It was a slow day today, and there wasn't much to do even, so Eijun worked hard.

"Sawamura-kun, can do a favor for me? I know you are already busy." Mr. Kominato asked the brunet.

"It's fine, and I've finished all my work anyway."

"That's great. Can you drop this order?" The father of Haruichi handed Eijun the package that was ordered.

Eijun was surprised since he has been working here there has never been ordered by any customers. The father also gave Eijun the address.

"Too bad for Haruichi he will miss you." The father chuckled.

"I think he can survive since Haruichi comes every time I work."

"That's true." The father laughed.

Eijun left the workshop and headed to the address on the paper he was given. It was not close, so Eijun had to take the car to get to the address. It was twenty minutes from the workshop.

"Is this the place? Eijun parked the car and looked at the house that was covered by a tree. Eijun began to worry as he looked to the side of the window. He was unsure if this was really the place that he was given.

Eijun got out of the car, grabbed the package, and headed through the trees; and there was the house, and it wasn't a normal one.

"It's huge."

As he stood there looking at the vast house, his head started to hurt. An image appeared in his head with a home similar to this one. The headache disappeared, and Eijun walked toward the building.

The young man knocked on the door, but there was no answer. He hit once again, and still, there was nothing. Eijun turned the doorknob, and it was open. He didn't want to enter the house without permission, but nobody answered, so he didn't have a choice.

"Hello," Eijun spoke as he entered and still no answer.

The house was as big inside as it was outside.

Eijun called out a couple of times but still no answer. He was beginning to think this was like those movies from watching too much. Unlike film, this was real, and he was also something out of this world.

Eijun stopped walking when he senses something or somebody coming fast toward him. Eijun manages to dodge the attack that was coming.

"Ah, you dodged." He heard a voice.

Eijun looked toward where the voice was coming from. Then he saw two strangers standing there who looked similar.

"Twins," Eijun mumbled.

Eijun didn't understand why the two had attacked him. From what Eijun could see, this was their first meeting.

"Sawamura Eijun." The one with blue hair spoke while the one with red hair stayed silent.

"Who are you!" Eijun yelled.

"We are like you but different as well." The red one said.

"What?"

The twins attacked him once again. Eijun kept on dodging, but in the end, he dropped the package in his arms, and it went flying across the room.

"Ah, you dropped it." The red one smirked.

Suddenly the guy's hand changed into a shape of a sword like the one he carried.

"That's?"

"Looks familiar." The red said.

They continue to attack, which was getting hard for Eijun to deal with, so he took out his own sword. Eijun didn't understand one thing: the blue one wasn't attacking him, unlike his brother.

Their swords clang onto each other as they attacked one another. Eijun didn't think something like this would happen since this was part of his job.

Eijun should have noticed something was wrong the moment they spotted the house. It was also strange that they had a package ordered.

"What did they even order?"

"Stop it!" Eijun heard the voice, and then the red one had stopped attacking.

Eijun looked up and saw a face, a familiar from the photo, but he had no memories of who this person was.

"So it's true that you don't have any memories of us." The man jumped down and was face to face with EIjun.

The man that appeared had light-coloured hair. His eyes were the same. It seems like another person who he was.

"Who are you?" Eijun asked.

"I guess I can tell you my name." He said, a bit annoyed. "I'm Mima Souichirou."

"So can you tell me why did you guys attack me?"

"Isao was only testing how strong you are."

"The one with red hair." Eijun turned to the one who attacked him.

"Isao is my name, and that's Isamu."

"Your powers."

"Do you want to find out why it's similar to your sword?" Mima asked.

Eijun couldn't deny that he was curious.

"Then come here again."

"Come again."

"If you want to know more, that is."

Eijun left the house since he didn't want to worry the workshop owner.

"We're you not suppose to interact with Ei?" Isamu asked.

"That was something Kazuya said, and he and I are not in the same boat," Mima explained.

Mima didn't like Kazuya's idea. He cared for Eijun, but to not see him and spend time with him was something Mima couldn't do. They have been separated for far too long.

"I'm sure you two missed him too."

The twins nodded their heads.

_______________

Eijun was back at the workshop, and Haruchi's father had told him that his son was here to see him like always.

"He wanted to wait for you, but I didn't know when you would be back. I manage to tell him to go home."

"I can always see him another day," Eijun said.

"It would be easier if you had a phone. Why don't you have one?" The father asked.

"I don't have any use for it, and Haruichi comes here anyway."

Haruichi's father wished that Eijun would social with more people instead of just Haruichi and his family. One time that Mr. Kominato asked the young man about his parents or any family he had. The reply that he got was, "They are probably dead, I don't know." The father felt bad for asking, and it showed on his face. Eijun told the old man that he shouldn't worry since Eijun isn't.

Eijun was done his shift. He said goodbye to the owner and left the shop.

When he got home, he jumped on his bed. Eijun was tired from everything that happened today. Eijun wondered if the next time he sees Mima, he can ask him about his powers and much more.

After a bit, Eijun got out of his bed and turned the television on. On the news, a man appeared, and he was another chairman of a company and Eijun's next target.

"Why are there so many power-hungry people out there?"

"These people running the country are like that too."

Eijun wondered how everything happened.

When the brunet first opened his eyes, two loving people were looking after him. They were his grandparents but not his real ones. They didn't know about his parents either, but Eijun didn't care since this was the life he had now.

That's when he learned about these strange powers. Eijun didn't tell his grandparents since he didn't want to worry them.

One day, while watching the news, he saw power similar to his, but the person who had it ended up dying. More information came with similar things happening to more people, and they were young like him.

Eijun started to do research on it and realize this would probably lead him to who he is.

That's when something horrible happened; his grandparents were in an accident. Eijun found out later it wasn't an average accident. The people who killed his family pretended it was an accident because they needed bodies that belonged to the elderly since they would die anyway.

Eijun got angry that he decided what he had to do.

When he took out the black kitsune mask he got at the festival, he went with his grandparents.

He did all the research and also found out they were connected to the powers that he had. Eijun was ready to kill them, but he couldn't and made them sent to jail for a lifetime.

Eijun knew he was a coward but killing somebody was something he couldn't do. There was always a voice in his head telling him how weak he was, and Eijun couldn't deny it. It was all true.

Since then, Eijun has been target people that connect to the powers.

Whenever he fought these people, they had powers like him but weaker. They were all vulnerable that he manages to take them all out. There were times that they died because of the ability, but it was something Eijun couldn't stop.

As the news kept going, something else caught Eijun's eyes.

"Kids have been missing from ages to five-ten."

Something clicked inside EIjun's mind, and he had a bad feeling about it.

"Let it not be what I'm thinking."

The bell rang to his home, which surprised him. Eijun never gets visitors. Eijun went to his door and opened the door.

"Haruichi, why are you doing here? Actually, how did you even know where I live?"

"Help." Haruichi didn't look like his usual self.

Eijun saw there was somebody behind the pink-haired young man.

"A child."

"Why do you have a kid with you?"

"He's hurt."

"I understand, but why bring him here when you could go to your brother."

"He spoke your name."

"What?"

Eijun didn't have any choice and let the two in.

The brunet looked at the kid, and he was nobody that Eijun knew. Haruichi put the child on the couch. The kid did look hurt but not severely.

"Oni-chan, help."

The child spoke and looked at Eijun.

Eijun didn't know what was going on, but he sat beside the child and then looked to see where he was hurt. The moment that he touched the child, images came into his mind of things that happened to the child. The torture, pain, sadness. This child has been an experiment on as well others his age.

"Why am I always right?" Eijun mumbled.

"Did you say something?" Haruichi asked.

"I said the child can stay here tonight. I have something to take care of, but you can stay and look after him."

"You had something planned."

"Yes, but I won't take too long, and I will help this child."

"Onichan." The child called out.

Eijun moved closer to the child.

"It's okay. I will save your friends." Eijun whispered.

Eijun grabbed his jacket and left his home.

The brunet looked around and saw no people; he let out his wings and flew up in the sky. It would be faster flying, and he wanted to take care of this brief.

Eijun was angry. There was the rage in his blood. He was mad at what he saw from the boy. It was something unhuman-like.

He jumped down on a rooftop. Eijun saw the building that had the kids hidden. The person responsible for it all was the same man he was targeting.

It looked like there was a little gathering that happened from the window Eijun could see. All the people there were chatting and laughing. They having fun like nothing was wrong.

"People like them need to disappear from this world." Eijun's inner thoughts of angry a rose.

Eijun took out the black kitsune mask and put it on his face. The small sword-like knife appeared on his left hand. He was ready to take action.

This was the first time Eijun felt like killing somebody. The images that he got in his head. Those kids were young, and yet these kinds of people were experiment with them like toys.

Suddenly flashes of memory came into Eijun's head.

He was in it as a child and with a couple of other kids wearing the same clothes. They were all having fun, but the smiles ended when they were an experiment. They weren't humans anymore. The moment they left the room, they gained powers.

"I remember," Eijun said. "I didn't want my friends to be hurt. That's why I told the doctors to experiment on me more and less on the others."

Even though Eijun remembers that part, he couldn't remember his friends.

"The past is repeating."

Eijun had to save those kids no matter what.

"I might end up killing someone." Eijun didn't like that feeling, but for those kinds of people, he had to.
