CHAPTER FOUR: THE ESCAPE ONE

Roy moved quickly towards Katrina,

" Listen, in today's event you are going to be offered as a gift to the emperor, so we have to get out of here quickly before they come to pick you up." Roy said while trying to untie the ropes tied around Katrina's arms and legs.

" What? I am going to be offered to the emperor? but why?" Katrina asked with curiosity while stretching her arms which were now untied already.

By the time, Roy was still busy trying to untie the ropes which were tightly tied around Katrina's legs, after a short while he managed to untie them, he then stood and took a deep breath.

Katrina was so happy as she had been tied on that chair for the past couple of days, she finally stood up with excitement, but her legs were too weak to stand so she quickly sat down again.

" Gosh, my legs are arching so much" she said while trying to get up again.

" I know you have a lot of questions to ask me but our priority now should be getting out of here, and we are running out of time, so wear these clothes quickly" Roy said while giving Katrina the small leather bag he was holding.

Katrina grabbed the leather bag and quickly opened it, he then looked inside it for a short while then she looked at Roy with a fixed gaze without uttering any word to him, Roy was so surprised, he kept wondering what the girl was thinking, in a situation like that anyone would quickly obey what is told so as to escape quickly but here she was still gazing at Roy.

A thought crossed Roy's mind that maybe she didn't like the attire but then seeing how desperate Katrina was of getting out from that hell hole thus she could care less about the kind of clothes she could wear in order to get out of that place so he quickly erased the thought,by the time Katrina wasn't taking any action, she was still gazing at Roy who was still wondering why Katrina wasn't wearing the clothes she gave her, and surprisingly she wasn't speaking anything.

When Katrina wanted to speak, Roy spoke before even Katrina could open her mouth, " hey, why are staring at me like that, I thought you...Oh now I get it" he then smiled while turning around facing the room's door. Then Katrina quickly changed and wore the clothes that Roy gave her.

" I am done" Katrina said in a low tone, then Roy slowly turned around facing at Katrina, well Roy was a little bit surprised as he didn't expect that she could dress up so quickly, she wore a white shirt with black vest which had four closed buttons, she also had a black bow tie that was neatly tied around her neck, the black one buttoned coat she wore fitted her perfectly with a matching trouser which was a bit loose but yet her slender body was visibly seen, she wore a bowler black hat that swallowed all of her hair inside it.

The attire that Katrina was wearing was exactly the same as Roy's attire, so she was pretty sure that it was the staff's uniform. So she clearly knew that in that disguise she could easily get out of that place being less suspicious.

Despite wearing male attire Katrina still looked incredibly stunning, Roy couldn't keep his eyes off her.

" Why are you staring at me like that?, do I look funny or something...." Katrina said keeping a little frown on her pretty face while looking at herself.

" No no no, it's just that you look..." Roy said with a smile trying to find a perfect word to describe Katrina's appearance.

" you look.....or just forget it, wear this mask to cover your pretty face"

Roy said while giving Katrina a black cloth mask.

Katrina gave him a tight lipped smile while taking the given mask, she was rather frustrated because she hates it when one doesn't complete his or her statement especially when talking to her. After a short while she completly forgot about her frustration and focused on the escape though she was still eager to know how she looked like, but then that wasn't her priority at the moment so she quickly wore the black cloth mask which covered her nose and mouth.

After that Roy and Katrina quickly got out of the room, when they got out of the room Katrina took a blank stare at the two lying men, her raised brows were evident that she was surprised, wondering how they passed out all of a sudden but she didn't ask, she just kept on walking following Roy's lead.

Katrina even wondered why she didn't ask or speak, that wasn't like her at all, it was like something was stopping her to speak thinking that it would slow down the escape process so staying silent and doing what she was told was not an option for her.

Roy instructed Katrina to act natural, such as walking in a normal pace and to keep normal facial expressions that don't express fear, worry or panic so as they avoid being suspicious.

Katrina totally agreed and infact she was good at it, though the mask she wore really captured people's attention as she was the only one wearing a mask but that didn't affect their mission.

They kept on walking through the long corridor, it was good that it was the orientation day as most people were busy watching the presentors on stage, even most of the guards were carried away by the show thus people could hardly be seen walking on that corridor so there was less focus on them, this made things easier for Katrina and Roy.

As it was the orientation day, people were freely entering in and out of that place without any questions, so the plan that Roy had in mind was to quietly walk out of the main gate. He clearly knew they were guards every where but most of them were busy watching the show so Roy saw this as a golden opportunity to escape easily using less efforts so Roy consulted Katrina about the plan and Katrina was glad that the escape plan was as easy as that.
