Chapter Two Empty Home

We traveled for what seemed like days as our sky turned to a deep dark red. There were no stars like the lands above us and there was no peace. There was only war as I have seen home in the distance as I wished to be set free. There seemed to be a gathering as we got closer to the castle and its cold black stone walls. I knew that my father was up to something as I finally returned home. My armor was covered in dry blood as I walked into the main gate to the courtyard. Demon nobles of different families were there in dresses and suits heading inside as I walked past them. The stares I have gotten were dangerous as a noble demoness should be wearing a dress to enter Greed Region's Halls. I did not care as I wanted to have a break from fighting and killing as I debated on running away from home.

The sounds of people will the main hall as I walked towards the stair to head to my room to clean and repair my armor and weapons if I could. The sounds of giggles that happen as I saw two women flirting with noble demons gave me the chills. Lust Region had two daughters who each lost an eye to their mother in a fight was an awful reminder of how I felt about my father. Each had different hair colors as they fit with their personality. One had navy blue hair and the other was a bright pink with an evil smile. They seemed to notice that I was there and shot toward me in a second.

"Hey there Cutie!" the pink hair demon chirped.

"Hi…." I answered as I slowly walked to the stairs, hoping that they would stop following me. The closer I got to the stairs the more they would ask questions about who I was and why was I covered in dried blood. They knew that they were on top, but I tolerated people like them, so when I do snap, they would only live to tell the story.

"What do you want from me!" I snapped as I turned to them as they knew their little spell did not work on me.

"We want to know who you are." They answered, "We never met someone like you before in this castle."

"I hate lust demons like you!" I replied, "I am the daughter of Greed, General of the Spiral Core. So, if you bother me again it might end with you two losing an arm or two."

"Touchy, are you?" the blue hair demon spoke. "We want to see if you wanted to join us for tea. As it seems my sister here started to flirt instead."

"I am not interested in tea," I answered and walked away towards my room. I am hoping for a break away from people and threatening them to leave me alone. All I knew was that every time I killed my father a part of my heart breaks as I wanted to save them from their suffering. As I walk through the stone halls with mostly paintings of my father and his so-called glory. All I remembered as a kid was training to fight and kill with soldiers and feeling my heart shattered over and over till it became a normal pain. The day my father dies is the day I grow up and leave this place for good. There was a feeling of weakness in my heart as I made it into my room. It was filled with plans on my desk and a simple bed with a box. I knew Father would try to get me to converse with the nobles outside, but I threw it out the window as a white dress fell out of it.

The dread of my father finding it was there, but I would rather die than be in a dress. I soon started to work on other things like cleaning my armor and swords and filing some paperwork for my father. Parties were something he enjoyed as he would boast about his battles in the past and the ones I earned as well. Trying to win the spot where Lust laid and claim it as his own.

"Amare!" my father screamed as he barged into my room without knocking. It did not shock me that I made him into a fool as the dress was in his hands. "You threw it out your window."

"I do not care for dresses, Father," I replied as I kept writing about what had happened on the battlefield. I knew how important reports are for him and that they must be done as soon as I can.

"You're wearing it!" he snapped.

"I beg a differ." I sighed, "I just return from war, and you want me to get married."

"You have a duty!" he answered.

"I am a general," I replied, "not a whore."

"And a Whore is what you are going to be if you do not do what I say!" he snapped.

"I know you rather die than get rid of your best weapon." I answered, "If you want me to go to a ball. I will rather be wearing my armor like my men."

"Fine!" he screamed as the door slammed shut as the halls became silent. It reminded me of my old room. Cold and silent and a lack of bars over my windows as I have given up trying to leave. In this castle, it is empty and cold as my heart, but it also felt like something was about to change in my life as well.

Knock, knock, knock as someone lightly hit my door and I knew it was not my father. I stood gotten up from my desk and walked over to the door. I thought it might be one of the maids or servants that work here. They were all so nice to me and never feared me as I helped with the cooking and cleaning from time to time. As I open the door both the pink and blue hair demon stood there with tea as I wished for silence for the night.

"Hello," I said with an angry but seem sweet smile as they came inside. They had no manners of if they were allowed in, but it seems that I was wrong.

"Sorry for the intrusion." The blue hair girl spoke, "We wanted to enjoy some tea with you."

"You guys do not listen, do you?" I replied as I sat down once again at my desk.

"I guess it is in our blood," she laughed, "but we have an offer for you."

"I do not even know who you are." I sighed as I signed one of the documents on the desk.

"I'm Lilium and this is Rosa," the blue hair demon spoke, "daughters of the Lust Region."

"Amare." I replied, "Tell me what you want to say and then leave me alone for tonight."

"We thought you might want to leave the Forbidden Plains," Lilium spoke and it shocked me to my care to think about leaving home or even being hunted down for it.
