Chapter 14 Acceptance

For the next two weeks, Keiji kept his distance from Hajime. This was something Hajime had expected a long time ago, so he didn't pay much attention to it. Keiji no longer invites Hajime to have lunch together, so he returns to the school roof to have lunch alone as usual.

When Hajime finished his lunch, Keiji walked towards Hajime. Keiji sat next to Hajime and began to eat the bento his maid had prepared for him. He looked at Hajime, "How are you doing?"

Hajime said, "I'm fine."

Keiji said, "What are you going to do during summer break?"

Hajime said, "I don't know yet."

Keiji looked at Hajime and said, "How about you work at our resort?"

Hajime turned his head to look at Keiji, and said,"Tsukumo–kun, it's okay if you don't want to be my friend. I understand. I don't want any pity from anyone." He stood up and started walking away from Keiji.

Keiji quickly stood up and shouted, "My brother has already told me about your living conditions." Hajime stopped, and he walked quickly to Hajime's side. "Your stepfather abused you, why didn't you tell me?"

Hajime said, "Tell you to do what? I can handle it myself."

Keiji said, "I really want to help you."

Hajime smiled and said, "Thank you for your kindness, but I can handle it myself." He walked away.

Keiji shouted, "Actually, my brother is the one who wants to help you."

Hajime stopped, and Keiji quickly caught up with him. "My brother wants you to work in our resort during the summer vacation. He said he called, but you didn't answer." He looked at Hajime and sighed. "Look, I have nothing against you, I just need time to adapt, no matter who you are, we are all friends."

Hajime said, "Thank you, it means a lot coming from you."

Keiji put his arm around Hajime's shoulder and said, "I'm sorry... I was too in shock learning it from other people." He looked at Hajime and chuckled. "By the way, I'm not trying to avoid you, but because of the school concert I have to practice extra hard and didn't have time to sit and clear things up with you." He reached into his pocket and took out a ticket. "Here's your ticket."

Hajime said, "I'm not going to your concert."

Keiji said, "Not an acceptable answer. You are coming to support me."

Hajime took the ticket and asked, "Your concert is not until when school starts, why do you already have a ticket?"

Keiji smiled and said, "Well, it's because you are my VIP guest." He smiled at Hajime. "So, about your summer job at the family resort? Honestly, I'd rather pay you than someone else...so what do you say?"

Hajime sighed and said, "Okay... I'll take the job offer. Let's go back to class. Lunch is over."

On the last day of school, the students are cleaning the classroom. Keiji grabs the trash can and goes to where Hajime was sweeping. Keiji said, "I'll pick you up."

Hajime said, "You don't need to come to pick me up."

Keiji said, "I'm going to pick you up, because you will live in a resort during the summer vacation, which saves you the time and money of running back and forth. I will pick you up at eight o'clock."

Hajime said, "Okay."

When Hajime got home that afternoon, he started packing his clothes into his duffle bag. It was almost six o'clock when he decided to eat before Keiji pick him up at eight. He walked out of the bedroom and found that neither his mother nor Chibi were at home. He thought it best not to see them until he was gone. He looked out the window and saw cars on the road. Sometimes he wished that when he looked out the window, he could see the ocean or the side of the mountain, full of beautiful wildflowers of every color.

Hajime stood in the kitchen, pouring hot water into the instant noodle cups. He put the chopsticks on the paper cover to keep the moisture inside, then suddenly a hand grabbed Hajime's waist and pulled Hajime to the person standing behind him.

Chibi gasped heavily in Hajime's ear. "Hajime...your mother doesn't come home until seven… why don't you let me do you… I raised you. I feed you. I pay for your school. At least what you could do for me is let me do you once."

Chibi's hand reached for Hajime's crotch, Hajime quickly grabbed Chibi's hand with his left hand, and grabbed the hot cup of noodle soup on the counter with his right hand. Hajime turned around quickly and smashed the hot cup of noodle soup on Chibi's head.

Chibi's scalp and face was burned from the hot soup, and he screamed in pain. Angry, he punches Hajime in the face, slamming Hajime's back against the kitchen counter. He punched Hajime in the face again, causing Hajime's nose to bleed.

Chibi's said angrily, "You ungrateful piece of shit… do you think I can't fuck you here now? Huh?" He screamed and rushed forward with another punch.

Hajime dodged Chibi's punch and rushed to the back door, but Chibi grabbed Hajime's hair and dragged him back to the living room. Chibi started to undo Hajime's belt, pulled down his pants, and the panties slid down past Hajime's hip.

Hajime screamed, "Let me go... let me go." He began to struggle, twist, and roll over on the floor.

Chibi started punching Hajime on the back, and after five minutes of struggling and beating, Hajime could no longer resist Chibi's aggressiveness. Hajime started crying, begging Chibi not to hurt him.

Chibi pressed Hajime's face to the floor with one hand, and patted Hajime's butt twice with the other hand, and smiled with satisfaction. "Your ass is so beautiful," he said with a smile, and patted Hajime's buttock again. "Hajime-kun, your ass is so white...so soft...it makes me hard..." He giggled, bent down and kissed Hajime's buttocks. "I like it..."

Hajime looked to the right and saw a book on the floor. In the middle of his fight with Chibi, the book must have fallen off the table. He quickly reached out, grabbed the book, turned around, and with all his strength, hit Chibi on the head with the book.

It was a hardcover book, and the edge of the book hit Chibi's nose, causing him a bleeding nose.

"Piece of shit," Chibi roared angrily. Chibi stood up and kicked Hajime.

"Chibi-san…" Aimi screamed and pushed Chibi away from Hajime. She looked down at the floor and saw that Hajime's pants and panties had passed his hips. She frantically looked back at Chibi. "What the hell are you doing?"

Chibi said, "Your bastard son… I said no, he seduced me... He asked for money, otherwise he would tell you that I raped him. He tried to blackmail me and make me angry. So, I kicked him." He lowered his head and pointed to Hajime who was lying on the floor and was beaten badly. "He pulled down his pants, trying to make a scene."

Aimi looked angrily at Hajime who was lying on the floor and was beaten badly. She started kicking Hajime just as two policemen rushed in. One of the policemen wrestle Aimi to the floor while the other went to check on Hajime.

The police officer saw that Hajime's trousers had fallen to his buttocks, and he kindly pulled up Hajime's trousers. "Are you okay?" he asked.

Hajime asked with tears in his eyes, "Can you please call Mrs. Ikari?"

The officer said, "Let's take you to the hospital first."

While the ambulance sent Hajime to the hospital for treatment, the two police officers brought Aimi and Chibi to the police station for their statement.

After Chibi finished telling his story, he looked at the two police officers and said, "The thing is, he was the first to punch. If you don't believe me, ask my wife, she was right there when everything went down. I am innocent here. If you don't believe it, ask the social worker."

One of the officers asked, "Then why aren't Hinode-kun's pants fastened?"

Chibi said "Did you listen to what I told you just now? He is gay, and he dropped down his pants to seduce me into having sex with him, so he could blackmail me for money."

The officer pressed, "So, you mean he dropped his pants while his mother was watching?"

Chibi said, "My wife was not in the room with us at the time, she came in when we were fighting."

The officer asked, "So, did you two fights before or after Hinode-kun's pants fell?"

Chibi knows that the more lies he tells, the more he messes up the story. "That's all I have to say. You either charge me or let me go. Either way, I have witnesses," he said.

Two officers stood up and one of them said, "Well, if your story doesn't match your wife's, I'm going to charge you tonight."

The two officers got up and left the room. As they closed the door, one of the officers murmured, "He screwed up his story. Did he think he could fool us."

The other officers said, "Let's wait and see what his wife says."

Two police officers walked out of the interrogation room after they finished talking with Aimi. "What did his wife say?" one of the officers asked.

Another police officer said, "She said her son punched first, her husband was just defending himself, they will not press charge against their son."

The officers opened the door and said, "You can go."

The three watched Amy and Chibi walk out of the police station. One of the policemen said," If Hinode-kun don't speaks, there is nothing we can do."

"I'm going to call a social worker just to be on the safe side," an officer said.

Hajime reached for his phone when it rang. Because Hajime was still confused, he didn't pay attention to who was calling him. Hajime said, "Hello."

Kenji asked, "Hajime-kun, which hospital are you in?"

Hajime was suddenly fully awakened by Kenji's voice. He said,"Kenji-san... how do you know I'm in the hospital?"

Kenji said, "I went to your house to pick you up. I heard that you were beaten by your stepfather and sent to the hospital. Tell me which hospital you are in."

Hajime asked, "Why do you need to know?"

Kenji said, "I'll come to see you."

Hajime burst into tears, "Kenji-san, don't come...I don't want to owe you anything."

Kenji said softly, "Hajime-kun, I hope you owe me a lot, so you can stay by my side and repay them one act of kindness at a time."
