Curiosity

Looking at her and the tree, I took a step forward and walked toward them.

The tree did not attack me, just as Meruine said, and I managed to safely get closer to her.

"Is it like a pet?" I asked her.

Aww!

But at that moment, a fruit from the tree fell directly toward my head.

Meruine laughed at the sight.

"Think of him as one of your best friends," she said.

As she said, I walked closer to the tree and put my hand on it.

"Ahem, buddy, mind if I take some of those juicy fruits of yours?" I asked.

"Phf," Meruine laughed at the scene.

"If you say it like that, someone might think you're asking for something dirty from him," she teased, but in the next moment, one of the tree branches, full of fruits, slowly lowered itself toward me.

"But he seems to like it," Meruine showed surprise on her face.
