US military and F.R.O.N.D.E.R Allied forces are deploying, waiting for the amphibious assault order from the superiors - in the meeting...

The daytime lasted quite short to us, and it wasn't a happy daytime at all. I had to stay in the hotel just to rest, to cure the shitty wounds of mine. Others in my group also stayed with me. Time soon passed, and Lieutenant Seeley came to escort us to Okinawa.

We took a flight and got to Okinawa island - this place is now under control of Japan military, not the US anymore. And for some reason, which is very odd to me. Instead of the name (JSDFs - Japan Self Defense Forces), now their military name changed to (JAF - Japan Armed Forces).

Somehow, it makes me feel like everything changed a lot after the Third World War. Many things changed but the thing I've seen lately and directly here was the Japanese military - the Armed Forces.

From little information that I fetched from Lieutenant Seeley and my friend Cawess. The "New World Order" of this world during and after the Third World War had changed a lot. Both small and big things, changed a lot.

United Nations was disbanded, fallen when the war broke out. Now it's been replaced by a new organization - United Earth. Same things happened to North and South Korea, both were unified. But Communism still remains.

Now things come to Japan's military and a strange to me military organization named FRONDER. Somehow the Japanese constitution had been changed after the war, resulting in its reformed military size expansion.

But the thing that I notice a lot is FRONDER. It's not related to NATO or any other US military allies, not the same. I'm trying to figure out what its short name stands for... FRONDER, huh?

Front... yeah, a military front of something. But I want the puzzles to be placed perfectly in the mold as fast as possible.

But now is not the time to think about it. I think I should think about something else.

After coming to Okinawa, we were escorted to stay in Camp Kinser on the island. From what I know, this military logistics camp used to be under control of US Marines. However, now the Japanese own the base. FRONDER Allied and the US MILITARY are deploying their forces.

Right at this moment, all of us are sitting in a waiting room to wait for Cawess. From what I knew from the door guard, Seeley and my old friend are now having a war meeting. They will be back when the meeting ends. But we all have to stay here, can't go outside.

"I wonder when they will be back for us...". - Sarah sounded up, expressing that she wanted to see them soon

My subordinate is now sitting on a long couch, on the right. She's sitting opposite me, holding a book to read as if to kill time. Besides Sarah is her older sister, who is also reading book as well, I think.

I look beside me to check on my beloved wife. She is now also reading a book, she seems to be curious and wants to do some research on the "Third World War" books. Sometimes she glances at me to check on me. But now maybe I'll be silent a bit to let my wife have her own time.

"Do you feel better, John?". - Shera asked me gently while reading book.  "Wait, let me". - She closed the book, put it on the table

Shera slowly checks on my wounded forearms. They're fully bandaged in with cloths, the wounds are now recovering well. However, maybe I'll have to rest more before I can be back to normal... I don't like it at all.

When my wife is checking on my wounds, I accidentally glance at Reimi. She's now standing at the door's frame to guard, doing that by taking Shera's order to do the duty. My wife is quite frustrated right now. She doesn't let Reimi be near me anymore, but keeps me all the time.

"You're still good, John...". - Shera gave me a positive response after checking on my wounds

Although finished checking my wounds, my wife is still checking again. Suddenly, my mind comes across an idea that I randomly think about. It's a problem that both of us need to discuss, privately.

"Hey, Shera?".

"?". - My wife curiously glanced at me, wondering

"Just a little talk, can you...?". - I glanced into her eyes, deeply telling her my intention to confess by just looking

Shera seems to have understood the meaning in my eyes. She knows I want to say something important. Head straight to the point, I get off my couch.

Both of us slowly approach the bookshelf. We stay under it as we reach the bookshelf.

Later, I get close to my wife, making her step back till her back touches the shelf. She blushes, as if she's thinking about something.

"Hey... it's not good for us to do that here". - She looked away, blushing

"It's about an important thing, Shera...". - I grabbed her hands, staring at her

"I've already forgiven you, there's no ne-".

"That's not it". - I got closer to my wife.  "I wanna talk about old things, I mean... our life, in the previous timeline".

"Oh?". - My wife was surprised a little bit.  ".......". - Shera stayed silent, as if she was confused to talk first or let me do that instead

"I just want you to forgive me after what I had done to you, Shera...".

"That's the old time, it's the past, John". - She grabbed my hand tighter

"No, it's not". - I lowered my face a bit.  "Please, just listen".

My wife decides to stay silent after a nod of hers. I know she's an understanding person, but now I feel so sorry for my wife after the bad thing I had done to her.

"Uhhh... that time, we were living together".  "Our child, Eris... I wasn't with you when you were taking care of her".

"I went outside every dawn, I hunted for food and killed the monsters roaming around our house". - Shera, please forgive me.  "Except for the time you were pregnant, I had rare times to be with you and our daughter".  "You made the family stable, you cooked and raised Eris". 

"But not me".  "Not until the night, I only went home at that moment".  "You took care of the house, you raised her, making clothes, cooking food, staying up just to wait for me to go home... and I did nothing to take care of you".

"I'm so irresponsible, am I...?". - I stayed away from my wife, feeling bad for her

"It's better for a child to have a single mother than having a father who never takes care of or talks to her". - From now on, I'll live more responsibly for you, Shera.  "I also cheated on you recently, but you forgave me... thanks, Shera".

After hearing my confession, without saying, my wife approaches me. She doesn't talk, but gives me a big hug. Shera rubs my hair, as if to tell me to move on. Feeling my wife's warmth makes me feel so happy, she's an angel.

"That's the past now". - She slowly tapped my hair twice.  "I know you have things you can't tell, I understand your childhood affected you a lot, it made you silent".  "It's okay, you're brave to confess this to me, John". - My wife hugged me tighter, as if she was trying to be a mother to please my mind away from bad things I got through in my childhood

"It's the past now, now we need to look at the future...".

Both of us later stare at each other deeply. I want to speak to my wife about something more, but seems like I can't do it right now. The room's door opening could be heard previously, Cawess is back.

We turn back to look at the room's door. Cawess and Lt. Seeley are heading in slowly. Sarah closes her books as she sees the man, while Hatano just makes a fast glance.

"How's the thing going?". - I asked him, approaching him while my wife returned to her seat

"The assault's been started". - Cawess replied to me, picking a seat nearby Sarah.  "I'll be in the war room soon, but I wanted to check on you so I returned here". - Sitting on the couch, Cawess pointed his eyes to the coffee machine

Seeley heads there as the command is given. I take a seat beside my wife then keep my eyes on my old friend, intending to speak with him.

"So... need my help or anything?". - I asked him

"Not really". - Cawess replied to me while putting the books and things on the table aside.  "I'll brief you something first about this assault". - He kept doing that, making the middle side of the table to be cleared, making an empty blank

"What are you doin', Sir?". - Sarah asked him in her curiosity

"Turn on the map, must have a clear view for y'all to watch, just wait for me".

After speaking to me, he keeps putting things aside. My wife seems to be curious about what Cawess is doing, so do others. Maybe I should help this guy, that's what I think. I approach him, but he looks at me once, as if to tell me to stop.

"Alright, done". - Cawess finally made the center of the table cleared, he leaned his hand below for some reason

"Pip!". - All of sudden, a wide green hologram screen suddenly popped up from the surface of the table

"What the hell?". - My wife was a bit surprised

"Ohh... a map?". - Sarah was quite curious, she got up, looking closer

"How magical it is!". - Reimi rushed to the hologram map, she was shocked to see it

"What is that, John...?". - My wife whispered to me, tapping my shoulder lightly to ask me for an answer

"I'll tell you later". - Or not

"Uhhh... it's too bright". - Reimi suddenly covered her eyes a bit while looking at the map screen

"Just wait a bit, lady". - The Colonel replied.  "I forgot you two haven't used to it yet". - As he was speaking, the brightness of the green map lightly got reduced

"It looks much better". - My wife later spoke up, I realized that she had just blinked

When all of us stop fussing and start focusing on the green map, I see something interesting. The map is showing us the East Asia region, Japan and South Korea... or I should call Korea. It also shows us China, and green dots that look like islands, I assume.

"I will be clear on this thing, so will brief it fast". - Cawess slowly pointed his index finger to Japan

"We're here". - So that's Okinawa island.  "NATO won't join this, the FRONDER, the NPTO and the US will make a joint amphibious assault".

"NP...?". - Sarah curiously asked Cawess

"North Pacific Treaty Organization". - So it's a kind of NATO of Asia

"After the world war, entire Southeast Asia still remains China's territory".  "The NPTO and the US will make the amphibious assault, starting from Japan, Korea to China". - Then he pointed to Taiwan below.  "We'll assist the ROC (Republic of China military) out of Beijing's attacks, then make 'em join us, crushing China's capital".

"What's about FRONDER?". - Hatano suddenly spoke up

"Here". - He pointed to South East Asia as the map switched to that location.  "FRONDER and the US head to South East Asia".  "We hit 'em hard, we have to liberate these countries from the commies, must do it fast".

I later put the Colonel's lecture away from my mind as I see Seeley. She points the coffee cup right in front of him when he was lecturing. Without saying, Cawess takes the hot cup. At least all of us have had a short break here.

"I don't understand anything". - Shera, you don't need to know about this

"We attack China, to put down its government?". - Sarah kept her eyes closer to the map

"To say in short, Sir". - Seeley suddenly joined us.  "We'll set up new governments for China's occupied nations after we take over them".  "China's land will be shattered, its fate will be decided as the allies crush down Beijing".

"Why NATO didn't join...?". - Hatano made up a question

"Many reasons, Sir". - Seeley switched the map area to Europe, pointing to England and France, even Germany

"Europe is very unstable after the war, especially in Western Europe, these three". - She made a circle in these nations.  "Terrorists everywhere, martial law from the day to the night time".

"Why?". - Sarah asked Seeley

".......". - She turned the map to mainland China.  "It's the remnant of war, that's all I can tell...". - She walked away

"Alright, let's get back". - Cawess returned to us after a short time enjoying coffee

He puts his hand on China's capital city - Beijing. He taps it three times as if to tell us it is a very important stronghold. Although not understanding anything, my wife and Reimi keep hearing. While my subordinates and I are focusing on the green map.

"We need to capture Qing Mao Jiang - the current Communist China President". - Again, he tapped on the capital city.  "The fate of the occupied countries will be chosen by their natives, but China will be decided by the U.E".

"All the unsolved questions, the reason they caused the world war... the true face of this man will be cleared when he falls in our hands".

Cawess seems to have done his lecture. He puts his hand below the table and the hologram map is later off.

"Looks like I've got to go". - Cawess got up, then slowly approached the door

"I've booked for you the rooms to stay in, Sirs". - Seeley reminded us as she followed her superior.  "Soldiers will pick you up in no time, my apologies but you can't join the war room unless the General allows you to do, Sir". - She glanced at me before walking away

When the door is closed, the five of us are left alone in this waiting room. There will be soldiers to come to pick us up, they'll escort us to the rooms, we can't join the war room.

"We're locked here...". - Sarah spoke up with a boring tone.  "Commander, we can't even go outside to watch the troops". - Stop complaining

From the beginning, this world doesn't belong to ours or we have any relation with it. We got here by being sent by Goddess Katia. We're blind about this world, even to me, who used to be here once.

"Oh, what's this?". - My wife strangely got surprised

"What's wrong?".

"A letter... it's a letter, right?". - She grabbed something on the table, then showed it to me

"But it wasn't here in the beginning".

"I saw it here when I looked around... someone... left it?". - Shera looked at me, assuming her theory

I take a closer look at the sheet of paper which seems to be a letter. While doing that, the coffee cup that Cawess used to drink can be seen on the table. He might've left it there after drinking, shit.

Even his secretary did not clean it up.

"Let me do it". - Reimi came to the cup and picked it up

She slowly goes away. I observe Reimi moving to the coffee machine to store the cup there, and my wife suddenly taps my shoulder. Maybe she got jealous when I did that. But I was wrong.

"It's written for you or something, John".

My wife hands me the letter, then I look at it. The material of this paper seems to be old, its white surface has turned yellow, aged a lot. Somehow it makes me feel like this paper sheet has been aged for decades.

I can see words marked on the paper's surface. It's the details of the letter... seems to have been written by Cawess. He wrote it for me. I fast read the letter a bit then got to that only conclusion.

I wonder why Cawess left this letter right here. He could've given it to me directly... maybe he intentionally did this, right now he's busy.

Hmmmm...  Alright, I must read the letter fully.

Johnny, Tell Me You're Still Well And Strong

You're reading this, Johnny? It's been a long time. Or I should say I don't know when I can be able to see you again. The war's over, three years have passed like a wind, but you're unseen.

I write this because of you. Everything after the world war has changed very much, more than I thought. I wish you could see this with me.

Thirteenth years of the Third World War. It took my youth away for thirteen years... so did it make to our buddies. Many people had died in the war, you know? Many people.

More than 400 million people died, and billions of wounded, many losses came to us.

The world is still very unstable, even when the war ended. China's still there, terrorism's spreading in Europe. The military keeps manufacturing weapons just for war, not having a sign to stop at all.

You said you came from a world like us, a parallel one, but more peaceful. Hope you're well there, my friend.

Don't worry about me, now I've had a family. They're going well, me too if you ask.

Tomorrow will be the Fourth of July, I'll be visiting the World War III memorial.

I hope you're still around here somewhere, Rig. If I can see you tomorrow, I hope you can stay here for a bit longer to read this letter, also to visit our buddies...

Maybe I should keep this letter for a bit longer. I slowly scroll the letter then put it in my pants pocket.

"Go right now...?". - Strangely, Sarah voiced out something

I look in the direction in which her sound came out. Somehow since when, soldiers have been standing outside of the room's door. Five of them. They seem to be from the JAF, fully armed with firearms and backpacks.

They might've got here when I was reading the letter. I don't think much, but slowly get off my seat then approach them.

"Ah, Sir". - A JAF soldier who seemed to be the group leader greeted me.  "We're ordered to escort you to the resting point, now please follow us".

"I wanna see Cawess".

"Can't do it right now, Sir".  "When the Colonel is free and has a need to see you, we'll come to escort you there". - Alright, seems like I must be patient for a while

"Nod".  "Then lead the way".

"Roger". - They turned around then formed a circle formation line to protect us

I take a fast glance at Sarah and Hatano, telling them to follow me. Reimi and Shera stand beside me, waiting to be escorted to the resting point.

The group leader of the squad looks at me. I nod firmly to him, telling him to start the escort instead of waiting.

Right now it's been a while since they escorted us to the resting point. We're now sleeping, or I should say some in my group are sleeping. However, not me. I am still here, lying on the bed with my eyes wide open.

My wife is sleeping beside me, hugging me tightly. My subordinates may be sleeping right at this moment as well. Now I just wonder what is Reimi doing. Who knows if she's sleeping right now... she's outside, guarding.

I can't get off my bed to talk to Reimi, that's bad. My wife may get jealous once again, thinking I'm cheating on her. Sigh... I just hope Reimi is now resting out there. I don't take a nap for some reason.

I want to meet Cawess, I want to ask him a bit. About the letter and his purpose for not handing it to me directly. However, I can't meet him right now. He's in the war room, commanding the plans for China invasion of the US military and its allies.

Why do I keep staying up late just because of this...? I can't meet him after all, especially when it's not in the daytime. Hmmmm... I guess I should close my eyes and sleep till the next day. When we meet again, I will surely ask him.

Sleep now, huh...? Alright.

I close my eyes, relaxing my mind and my body. Imagining a scene in a small house, having time with my wife, cuddling each other sweetly.

"John, please wake up...". - Someone, I heard someone calling me.  "Please wake up... my Highness, you too, hurry". - That's Reimi's voice, why did she call me?

"What's wrong...?".  "Uhhh... yawn... Reimi, why did you?". - My wife seems to have woken up or something

"I heard loud noises earlier and... I can't tell you fully but... urrrghhh!". - She seemed to be a bit pissed off.  "I woke up because of that, those sounds got me up".

"What's wrong?". - I got up, slowly got off my bed

"Something is happening!".  "Something very bad...".

My wife and I are very bewildered, we keep silent, trying to listen more. However, I don't think it's a good way to do it. I grab my Advisor - who's now being charged right on the desk.

I attach the device to my wrist, slowly turn on him. Hmmmm... it may take me for a while to know what is happening here.

"Reimi".

"Yes". - She came to me

"Your Advisor, see anything suspicious?".

"No, I... turned off her for charging". - She showed me her device's off-screen

"Turn it on".

"What do you mean by "loud noises", Reimi?". - My wife questioned her servant.  "John, I have a bad feeling about this". - Shera looked around the room nervously.  "We can use this thing...". - She grabbed her Toolwatch, showing it to me.  "Or something in this room, we can contact Seeley to know what's happening, right?".

"I don't think so". - Our acquaintances are commanding the operation, their phones may have been off at this moment

"Bang...! Bang...! Bang...! Bang...! Bang...!". - All of sudden, noises like gunshots could be heard from afar from our room.  "Bang...! Bang...! Bang...!". - Those sounds were a bit loud, but quite low if compared to normal gunshots

"That's what those sounds are like!". - Reimi was a bit shocked to hear it, her voice got trembled a bit

"Johnn, you there?". - All of sudden, Advisor spoke up

"Yeah".

"Tell everybody to stay silent, I've smelt something odd".

"Nod!". - Shera and Reimi stayed silent

"Ten dots, on the east side of the hallway". - Alright, let me know more.  "They're going together, from room to room, searching or something".

"Bang...! Bang...! Bang...!". - Again, those gunshots were fired once again, but they were louder than before

"They're very near you, Johnny... make sure to hide".  "They don't seem to be friendly... I saw 3 dots on a nearby room vanished". - Then it means some ones have just "disappeared" from this world

"Hide, hide, hurry...". - I told my wife and Reimi to hide.  "C'mon, c'mon, under bed!". - I waved my hand, asking them to hide as fast as possible

"They've parted ways, one's moving here". - Shit, not good.  "Shit, he's just stopped right in front of our room's door".

"Ehhh!". - All of sudden, a loud voice came out from a room beside us, might have come from Sarah.  "They're having a training program or somethi-".

"Bang!!!". - A very loud shot blasted out

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!". - Shit, not good!

"Urrrghhh!!!". - I rushed to the door, using my force to burst it open

I come out, and see a well-armed soldier. He fell to the floor as the door opening made him take a strong blow. The man's now trying to get up from falling. I can't let him do that, he has a shotgun.

"Urrrrrgggghhhh!!!!". - I rushed to him, grabbed his shotgun and pulled it above before he could shoot me

"Bang!!! Bang!!! Bang!!!".  "Urrrrrgggghhhh!!!". - Both of us struggled to take over the shotgun, 3 shots were fired but hit the roof

"Urrrghhh!!!!". - I managed to lean to his neck.  "Bites! Bites! Bites! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!". - Doing my best to kill him, my jaw made a strong bite to his neck

"Urrrghhh!!!!". - He screamed in pain, but I didn't care

"Bang!!! Bang!!! Bang!!!".  "Clak! Clak! Clak!". - While biting the man, his shotgun kept shooting the roof till it ran out of ammo

"Arrrrrggghhhhhhhhh!!!!". - He screamed, loosening the gun and started covering his neck whose flesh had been ripped off

"Spit!".  "Urrrghhh!!!".

"Smash! Smash! Smash!!!". - Not letting him a chance to fight back, I smashed his head off, not stopping even when he was on the ground

"Smash! Smash! Smash!!! Smash! Smash! Smash!!!".

"Run, run now!". - Hatano pushed me away from the dead soldier

She snatches the shotgun and even pulls out some ammo pouches in a hurry. Hatano puts the line of ammo pouches around her neck, then runs with one hand holding the empty shotgun.

"Sarah!". - She rushed to her little sister, checking on her head

"I'm okay...".

"Run now!!!". - Hatano yelled at me

Doesn't say anything more, my subordinate lifts her little sister up. They start running, so do I, Reimi and my wife. Following Hatano, I start feeling there's something odd behind us. And I was right.

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!". - Some bullets flew through us, some kind of soldiers were chasing us, trying to kill us

"Low down, low down!". - I told them to lower their body while running to avoid being shot

We manage to run to the right side, to another hallway. Running this way, we slowly see someone standing in front of the hallway. He's a JAF soldier, seems to be guarding.

(What the...?). - He dropped his smoke on the floor as he spotted us.  (Urrrghhh, what's wrong with you, lady - san?). - He was shocked when Hatano grabbed his collar, pulling him to a corner

(Some fuckers are messing with us!). - Hatano yelled at him, pushing him to the corner where the hallway was nearby.  (They're over there, call for backup and gather more men, now!).

(What the hell...?). - He shook Hatano's hands away.  (Lady - san, I didn't hear anything earlier, so don't make me...). - He peeked out to look at that hallway while talking to us. But for some reason, he stopped his words.  (Huh...? Something, I spotted so-).

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!". - Those silenced gunshots started spraying to the wall where the soldier was sneaking in

He was shocked because of those gunshots. He manages not to be shot, he stays behind the wall, feeling nervous. Right now I can see him tapping his comms (walkie-talkie), trying to contact soldiers.

"Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!".

(Nagano 3 reports to Nagano 4, found armed people, hostile to me).  (We need backup, Resting Point 452, over!).  (Can't confirm how many of 'em are here, b-). - In the last moment, Hatano snatched the comms from the soldier

(Get here now, morons! They're going to pin us down! Quickly come here!).

As Hatano finishes informing other units, she swiftly pushes the JAF soldier to the wall. Taking the opportunity, I snatch the empty silenced shotgun from Hatano, then take the pouches. However, my hands seem to be a bit hurt while wielding the gun.

My adrenaline may have dropped after the previous melee fight. Now I can't wield the shotgun properly, shit.

"Let me". - My wife grabbed the shotgun from my hand.  "Uhhh, how... how...?". - She tried to figure out how to load a shotgun.  "Sarah, help me!".

(Why don't you shoot!!!!?). - Hatano kept yelling at the young JAF soldier

(I don't have permission yet, cannot do it yet!).

(Just point it out and shoot, it's your life or theirs!). - Done scolding, Hatano snatched the comms once again, trying to make another contact

"Done!".  "Clack!". - Right on time, Sarah loaded the shotgun

"Let me do it, Lady Sarah!". - Reimi snatched the shotgun, she also reminded herself not to hold the trigger when there's no need to fire

"It only has effect in short range, no need to use now". - I told Reimi not to use the shotgun

(I told you I can't shoot unless I have the order!). - The JAF soldier kept resisting Hatano

(Fine, I'll do it myself...). - She didn't care about the soldier anymore, but snatched the shotgun from Reimi

"Wait, what t-".

"Bang!!!". - Hatano splashed a gunshot on the soldier's face

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!". - Everyone yelled in fear

His brain parts have been blasted out scarily, a gruesome scene is appearing before us. The soldier dies, with his broken head and his blood-stained uniform. Without saying, Hatano pulls his corpse closer to us, then grabs the rifle.

"Howa Shiki 20...". - Hatano whispered something, her hands kept examining the rifle slowly.  "Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!". - She later peeked the rifle out of the corner, started firing blindly with semi-automatic mode

Reimi runs up and stays behind Hatano. Both of them are willing to fight forcefully. Then I check on Shera and Sarah behind me. Poor them.

"I'm very sorry, I'm very sorry for what happened to you". - Sarah kneeled on the floor, before the corpse holding her hands as if to pray

My wife doesn't say anything but just pulls me closer to her for no reason. As if Shera's trying to pull me away from danger, I was standing near the gunshot range previously so I understand.

"Out, I'm out!".  "Cover me!". - Hatano pulled the rifle back, starting to reload it

"Bang!!! Bang!!!". - Reimi fired the shotgun blindly as she peeked it out of the wall

"Sirens! Sirens! Sirens! Sirens! Sirens! Sirens! Sirens!". - Suddenly, the alarm sirens on the wall started playing

"All units be advised, China invasion confirmed!". - The man on the loudspeaker warned us.  "I repeat, China invasion confirmed, 20 hostile planes spotted in the sky out of the base".  "Immediately head out to defend the base, one unit needed to go to Resting Point 452, hostiles may be there as well".

"News received, massive of paratroopers spotted flying down our head".  "This is not a training course but a real combat situation".  "Immediately head out of the base to defend, over!".

The PLA (Chinese People's Liberation Army) is attacking the US, huh? It's so sudden. We planned to attack them, now their paratroopers are on our heads. We must run now or we will die here.

"We can't fight 'em off! Too many of them!". - Reimi complained while sneaking behind the wall, avoiding the dense lines of gunshots

"We've got to run!". - Hatano left the wall and rushed to the JAF soldier's corpse

"Keep shooting to hold 'em off, Reimi! Don't stop firing".

"Stay here". - I told my wife to stay, while I approached my subordinate

As I can see when I get close to her, she's doing her best to fetch up everything from the dead soldier. She snatches the rifle away, she snatches the pistol, the ammo pouches. Hatano also takes a bayonet, some grenades. She hands me the pistol and its magazines.

"It's okay, now, run now". - She swiftly left the dead body

I hold the pistol then run back to my wife. Reimi is now not shooting, her shotgun's empty. Not knowing how to use it fully, Sarah is reloading the shotgun for Reimi every time it runs out of ammo.

"Yarrrrghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!". - All of sudden, a loud scream was heading toward us

"Ahhhh!". - Reimi was shocked when she saw a soldier running out from that corner.  "Bang!!!". - She blasted his chest with her shotgun, making him fall on the floor

"Everyone, follow me!". - I chose to be the vanguard

Everyone in my group and I start running. We run away from the hallway, heading in a direction that I assume to be the place we can be safe. However, it seems like we can't reach there yet for a lot of reasons. It's not good.

"Bang!!! Bang!!! Bang!!! Bang!!! Bang!!!". - Reimi turned around to shoot several times while running along with us

Thanks to her action, it makes the enemy's movement slow down a little bit. Right now, we're under lines of sirens coming out from the alarms. They're very noisy, filling our ears deeply.

"Gunshots! Gunshots! Gunshots! Gunshots!". - When I was about to turn to another hallway, blasts of gunshots strangely fired at me from that corner

Some kind of force pulled me back when those bullets were targeting me. When I get up, turns out that was my wife who saved me in that very dangerous moment. Oh shit.

"What's happening over there? Why it...?". - Shera pulled me to a wall for safety, she also asked me what had just happened earlier

"Enemies are over there too?".  - All of us stayed covered behind the wall

"Friendly fire... our men are in the hallway". - Now we're standing between the enemy and our allies, shit!
