"Are you sure?" Theo asked, sitting up. His blue eyes stared up at her filled with doubt and hope. "I can't change what I've become. I'm going to be like this forever."

"I've changed too since you were gone," Kate returned. "We're going to change overtime anyway. Your change is just...more."

"More inconvenient?"

"Just more."

"More needy. More annoying." His hands circled her waist and pulled her down till she was sitting on his lap and said, "I literally can't live without you. I never thought I'd be this kind of person."

"You didn't have a choice."

"Ritual magic is always risky."

"I did it twice," she pointed out. "And I like to think I'm not usually so reckless."
