Hi readers I am feeling better, so updates will be back starting today.

The twilight has three chapters left, they will be posted together before the end of the week.

On a side note, this chapter has been rewritten twice to make Hiruzen and Danzo seem smart even though Danzo doesn't talk in this chapter and just observes, as the first version I wrote seemed boring.

It wasn't long after that Ren and his team arrived at the gates of the hidden leaf.

As they appeared, they attracted the attention of the guards at the gate, but they didn't seem surprised to see Ren and his genin's.

" Welcome to the hidden leaf shinobi of the hidden stone, the Hokage is already expecting you." one of the guards said.

" Just follow me I'll take you to the Hokage's office." the shinobi said as he motioned for Ren to follow him.

Ren didn't speak the whole time and proceeded to follow the shinobi into the village with the others following him.

As they left another leaf shinobi appeared taking over the duties of the guard that left.

As they entered the Village and walked through the streets, Ren observed everything they passed the busy street the happy people, and the beautiful village.

He took all of it in, and he had to admit the hidden leaf village looked way better than the stone.

But for how much longer?

The hidden stone village needed a makeover, and Ren and Onoki had already had the plans made, all they needed was the funding and a long period of peace to get it all done.

The original plan was to get the funding from the Daimyo, but Onoki had proposed another way to get the money needed and Ren had supported the idea.

Their plan was simple since they had planned to dominate the next ninja war, why not let the other villages fund their projects?

After all, after they won and the other villages surrendered to stop further damage they had planned to call for huge amounts of money and even fertile land as the settlement.

Of course, they both knew planning on the certainty that they would win the war was, premature seeing it had even started and anything could happen but, they both completely believed the hidden stone would win.

As they continued walking through the village, Ren noticed the number of eyes on him kept increasing the closer he got to the Hokage building.

Even though the number was usual, Ren continued on his way not bothering with it, but as always his guard was up.

A couple of minutes later they arrived at a building and entered, going to the top floor, they arrived at a door then the ninja who lead them there knocked and left, Ren didn't say anything and neither did the departing leaf shinobi.

KNOCK!!

KNOCK!!

KNOCK!!

Ren stood there until he heard a voice.

" Enter."

Hear the permission to enter given Ren pushed open the door and walked in, with the others following behind him.

As he entered the room he scanned it quickly with his eyes and sensory ability.

' Two anbu in each corner, and then there is these two...." Thinking Ren as he stares at the two men in front of him.

As Ren stared at them, they also looked at him, and the room was silent.

" I have brought the hidden stone genin that will be taking place in the joint chunin exam." says Ren.

" Yes, young Ren this generation of the hidden stone seems very talented, I'm sure they will all perform well." says Hiruzen.

Ren didn't want to respond as he knew this was all pleasantries, everything Hiruzen said was just for the sake of saying it, and Ren had no intention of participating normally but seeing this was an enemy village and Ren wasn't foolish enough to be arrogant for no reason, he followed Hiruzen's lead.

"To be praised by someone of your caliber, I'm sure these genin are thankful, but I'm sure the hidden leaf is at the same level if not better." says Ren.

As he spoke Ren gauged the strength of the two men in front of him and, their strength was around what he expected, after meeting the two other Kages closely.

'Hiruzen, he is definitely not the strongest Kage I've met so far, I still believe its the Raikage, both have super-Kage chakra levels, but the Raikage still has more, Hiruzen may be the most flexible of the current Kage in knowledge and fighting technique, that might make the most dangerous out of the five, but definitely not the strongest.' thinks Ren.

"But that being said, I would rather fight the Raikage than Hiruzen, being able to use all five elements to a very high level and highly skilled in sealing, and being able to manipulate this entire village into believing in him wholeheartedly, there is no doubt this is a very dangerous man.'

"Hahahahahaha, yes all the villages have amazing talents, which makes the animosity between the villages even more disheartening to see, knowing these young talents might see war in the future." said Hiruzen with a voice filled with sadness while looking at Ren.

"I agree after all these children deserve a peaceful childhood at least, after all, wasn't that the purpose of creating these villages, if the five great villages can't even protect their youths, do they deserve to be called great?" questioned Ren.

"..."

Hearing Ren's reply to his statement, a look of shock appeared on Hiruzen's face, which was quickly hidden, but he wasn't the only one, the genin, Danzo, and even the Anbu were shocked by Ren's reply, but Hiruzen wasted no time and replied.

"Yes, yes I agree which is why the hidden leaf has held this joint exam, on the surface, it may just be an exam, but I would like to propose an alliance between the villages that came in hopes the situation we have just spoken about doesn't come to be, but since only the sand and rock have come, the invitation will be extended to the two villages." says Hiruzen, and as he spoke Ren could literally feel the shock and agitation coming off of the genin and the Anbu present, while Danzo stood calmly.

' Is this to throw off the consequences they expect to come after they kill me when I'm returning from the exams, after all, if I send this news back to the Tsuchikage, in all logical reasoning, the leaf would have no reason to kill me, all attention would turn to the other villages.' thinks Ren.

'A smart plan indeed if I was that easily manipulated., but I'll have to play along.' thinks Ren.

"Ho.....Hokage, I'm not authorized to make such decisions..." Ren says in fake surprise.

"Yes, so I will entrust you to pass this message on to the Tschikage, in the meantime, an Anbu will show you where you will be staying." said Hiruzen.

" Ghost, lead them to their hotel rooms for the remainder of their stay." says Hiruzen as an Anbu appears kneeling in the room.

" Yes, Hokage-sama."

Ren was standing in his room looking out the window, at the bright village as his thoughts moved.

'It's too early to make a move, too many eyes are on me, let's wait three days before starting my plans, after all, I'll be here a while.' thinks Ren.

'Hiruzen really is a very dangerous man.' thinks Ren

While in the Hokage building Hiruzen was having a conversation with Danzo.
