"Oh my god, all of these are yours? This is way too rich!" This time, Mia was even more shocked, never having seen such wealth, and it was right in front of her.

"Liam, who are you exactly? Which young master from Northbridge are you?"

Liam was speechless upon hearing this. What young master? He was just an Uber driver!

Seeing that Liam was not willing to talk, and with good intentions, Lynn didn't push further.

After choosing a room, just as Lynn was about to discuss how much rent to pay with Liam, Liam said he wouldn't take any money, which made Lynn anxious.

"Liam, this won't work! Although I know that such a villa must be very expensive, all the money I have together still wouldn't be enough, but we absolutely can't stay here for free."

"Why would I take money for living here? Besides, this villa is so big, with so many rooms, it won't be a loss to let you live here for free." Liam insisted.

Lynn was about to say something but was interrupted by the sound of her stomach growling.

Hearing the sound, Lynn's face turned red, looking somewhat embarrassed. She had been busy with this matter all day and hadn't had a proper meal, so she was now quite hungry.

Liam smiled and said, "We can talk about the rent later, let's go eat first. There probably isn't much food at home, we'll need to find a restaurant."

Lynn nodded shyly, "Alright, thanks for your help, Liam. I'll treat you to this meal!"

Liam pretended to relax and nodded, but he thought to himself, "Even if you treat, I probably couldn't afford it anyway. Right now, I don't even have enough money to buy steamed buns."

Lynn, being considerate, took them to a nearby upscale restaurant. Although Liam wouldn't normally dare to eat at such a place, his circumstances had changed. With a luxury house and car, dining in an upscale restaurant was nothing.

Liam went to the bathroom to take a call and was about to return to Mia and Lynn when a sarcastic female voice suddenly sounded.

"Oh, is that Liam? How come you dare to eat in a place like this now?"

Liam found the voice familiar. He turned around and saw it was his ex-girlfriend, Sonia, who had just walked out of the ladies' restroom. They had been together for only two or three months before she dumped him for being poor.

Liam didn't want to bother with someone like her, so he turned and walked away. Sonia, feeling ignored and perhaps superior, stomped her foot and said sarcastically to his back, "How dare you ignore me? Pretending to be calm? With just a month's earnings from driving Uber, can you afford a meal here?"

Hearing this, Liam stopped and turned around, responding coldly, "What does whether I can afford it have to do with you? Mind your own business, okay?"

After saying that, Liam walked away, leaving Sonia cursing behind him, but he didn't hear a word.

"Dear, what where you shouting about over there? What was that all about?"

Sonia sat back down and heard the man across from her ask. The man looked to be in his forties or fifties but was dressed very expensively, wearing a Rolex on his wrist and a gold chain around his neck, looking like a nouveau riche.

"Oh honey, it was nothing, I just got a little annoyed." Sonia replied, somewhat guilty but masking it well, immediately putting on a sweet smile.

"Forget about it, let's eat. Here, have some food." Sonia used her chopsticks to pick some food and leaned into the man's arms coquettishly.

Liam, didn't see what was happening on Sonia's side, but even if he saw it, he couldn't be bothered. Now with two beauties accompanying him, why care about that woman?

During the meal, Lynn was very enthusiastic. Although Liam knew she was the shy type, she was probably trying to repay him, even helping him with the food, making Liam feel a bit embarrassed.

Through the dinner conversation, Liam learned that Lynn's family situation wasn't too bad. In fact, her family was considered a third-rate family in the entire Northbridge.

Her relationship with her family seemed strained, which indirectly forced her into the situation of marrying a rich second generation.

After happily finishing their meal, Lynn, Mia, and Liam were about to pay and leave, when they happened to run into Sonia and her companion also paying.

Seeing this, Liam frowned but didn't say anything.

Sonia, however, noticed Mia and Lynn with Liam and was obviously stunned. Seeing that Lynn was the one paying, she seemed to find an opportunity to mock Liam, sneering coldly and sarcastically saying, "So that's why you dare to eat in a place like this, you've found yourself a sugar mommy. Well, I guess it's easier than driving Uber, right?"

Seeing this heavily made-up woman suddenly start mocking Liam, both Lynn and Mia felt a bit puzzled. Mia couldn't help but ask, "Do you know her?"

Liam sighed and nodded, "Yes, she's my ex-girlfriend."

Mia, being smart and quick-witted, immediately figured out the situation. She glanced at the man holding Sonia and replied, "Some people really have no shame, being a mistress themselves and accusing others of being kept? Hypocritical bunch"

This remark hit Sonia where it hurt. She immediately became furious and shouted, "Who are you calling a mistress? Who are you calling a hypocrite? You better watch your mouth, little girl!"

Insulting her in any other way would have been tolerable, but calling her a mistress was a sore spot because it was true.

Since breaking up with Liam for being poor, Sonia had latched onto this middle-aged man for money. Although he was older, he was rich, and in three or four months, she had gotten all sorts of designer bags and cosmetics, which was far better than being with Liam!
