Fight Back!

As the Wyvern's claw threatened to rip him to pieces, Leon acted as though he had all the time in the world. He calmly slid his right sword over his left with an immortal-like grace that made the blades of his two swords sing sharply as they touched. As he did this, his swords began to glow. They have been enchanted.

Immediately after, Leon cast the empowered Quickstep Lv 2.

He seemingly vanished into thin air just as the Wyvern's claw tore into the ground where he had been standing, leaving behind a deep crater.

[Error101]: "What did he just do? Why did his swords start glowing golden just before he dodged the Wyvern's attack?"

[DragonSlayer123]: "Isn't it obvious? He used the Piercing Strike skill to enchant his weapons with the Razor's Edge enchantment. For the next 5 minutes, his weapons can cut through virtually anything."

[Error101]: "I see."

[GwackGwack]: "But isn't it a one-time-use skill? If he fails to take it down within 5 minutes, he won't have any way to breach its defenses. He would lose the battle then.

[XtremeGamer]: "The commenter above, don't forget he still has two uses of the Divine Lunar Slash. He can use it to butcher the Wyvern."

[CyberBlade]: "You're underestimating the Wyvern too much. If Zeus can outrun its Area of Effect skill, who's to say it can't do the same? For all we know, it might dodge both uses of Zeus's Lunar Slash skill. Then those who followed me and bet against Zeus completing the tutorial in this run will win the bet and make some money, and those who blindly followed the lead of my foolish little brother and bet against me will suffer losses."

[YourNemesis]: "Hmph! You're too pessimistic when it comes to others and too optimistic when it comes to you, elder brother. Guys, don't take what he said to heart; it won't happen. Zeus isn't the type of guy to blindly shoot his shots. It's clear from his gameplay. He won't go all in and use the Divine Lunar Slash unless he's confident of hitting the Wyvern with it. And the battle might end before Zeus is forced to a corner."

Back in the game, after seemingly disappearing, Leon reappeared behind the Wyvern and cast [Slash].

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Empowered with the Fairy Queen's blessing, the slash skill manifested as a sword storm comprising 70 rapid strikes, all aimed at the Wyvern's back.

The Wyvern didn't have eyes on its back, so it didn't see the storm that was approaching.

Even if it had, it wouldn't have bothered to dodge.

Why?

It was supremely confident that whatever Leon tried wouldn't be able to breach its natural defenses. After all, its scales weren't like those of other Frost Wyverns. They were ten times stronger, having been nourished by the blood it had inherited from demonic dragons since it was born.

Unfortunately for the Wyvern, it had grossly overestimated the capabilities of its innate defenses and at the same time grossly underestimated the power of Leon's enchanted weapons.

Leon's swords, now blessed with the Razor's Edge enchantment, were capable of cutting through steel and even dragon scales.

They sliced through the Wyvern's scales and tough hide like butter, biting deep into its flesh 70 times in a single second.

Thick, dark blue blood gushed from the 70 lacerations on its back like a fountain.

Leon quickly dived to the side to avoid being splattered by the icy, cold blood as it splashed onto the spot where he had stood a moment ago, instantly freezing the ground beneath it.

[System Notification: The Frost Wyvern has taken 1,000 damage. Current HP: 9,000/10,000.]

"He finally got a hit in!"

The excited viewers flooded the chat with comments

"God King Zeus's physical damage is at 250 per hit. Getting hit by his empowered basic offensive skill would deal a monster with no physical damage negation more than 15000 points in damage, but it only dealt 1000 damage to the wyvern. What the hell?

"Its physical defenses must be really high."

"He needs to land 9 more strikes like this to win, but it won't be as easy next time."

"Why is that the care?"

"Generally in RPG games, boss-type monsters have multiple phases, they get tougher when their hp drops below a certain point. I am afraid this fight would get more challenging for God Kkng Zeus the closer he comes to winning it."

"If that is really the case It would be great,"

"?? Are you serious?"

"I bet against his success. I would love to see him lose."

"I don't care what your reason is. You chose a monster over a fellow human. You are my friend no more."

....

Meanwhile, in the game...

"Gahhhhh!"

The Frost Wyvern roared in pain and agony as searing pain shot up its spine, tearing through its senses.

"What is this? What the hell is this? Argh!!!" The frost wyvern roared endlessly as it thrashed about.

Leon flashed away to safety using the empowered [Quickstep (lv:2)].

His eyebrows knitted in confusion.

'Why is it crying like a baby that tripped and fell for the first time?'

Suddenly, a thought crossed his mind and his eyes widened slightly.

'Don't tell me this is the first time it has been hurt? He did say he got a laughable reaction out of the hidden boss of the tutorial when he damaged it and that it was the most pathetic hidden boss in the entire game, but no one could verify his words as he didn't record it and hidden boss can only be killed once in the game.'

Leon wasn't wrong.

This was indeed the first time it got so deeply hurt. It wasn't used to it.

To explain why this was the case, we must first delve into its background.

The Wyvern was born from a union as twisted as it was rare. Its mother, a Frost Wyvern, had been brutally taken by a demonic dragon, leaving behind this hybrid offspring.

From the moment it hatched, it was clear that it was unique among its kind. Compared to other Frost Wyverns, its scales were denser, covering its entire body, its claws were sharper, and its icy breath and aura were far colder than that of its kin.

This Wyvern was born with potential far beyond the average Frost Wyvern, and it didn't go unnoticed.

The 13th Prince of the Demon Realm took a keen interest in it and adopted it into his clan, elevating it from a wild and unacceptable bastard who wasn't liked by either the Frost Wyverns or the Demonic Dragons to the status of one of his seven retainers.

Though it was weaker than the prince and his retainers, it had the potential to possess the power to contend with lords when it reached adulthood. A lord would be considered an invaluable asset by any prince of the Demon Realm as they could help them greatly in realizing their ambitions.

Because of this potential, the Wyvern was showered with adequate resources by the prince and treated with the utmost respect by the prince's other retainers.

They provided it with everything it needed to grow strong at a steady rate, ensuring that its path to power was smooth and unhindered. Its opponents were carefully selected, handpicked to ensure that it would always emerge victorious without getting injured but also gain the important combat experience it needed to be useful when it reaches adulthood. As a result, it had never faced a battle where its opponent could overcome its innate defenses. This meant that until now, the Frost Wyvern had never experienced the pain of its flesh being pierced.

But now, that pain came in waves, crashing over it like a relentless storm, driving it absolutely mad.

Its eyes turned bloodshot, and it growled like a maddened beast after turning around and facing Leon.

"Human! I will kill you!!"

It had always been the one to crush its enemies, to overpower them with its superior strength and defenses. But now, here it was, facing a mere human who had not only dodged its strongest attack but also inflicted agonizing wounds on its body. The humiliation was too much to bear. It saw only one way to recover from this and it was to crush and eat him.

"I will fucking kill you!!!"

With a roar that shook the very ground beneath it, the Wyvern charged at Leon like a crazed bull.

Whoosh!

Its claws tore through the air to obliterate the source of its humiliation and pain.
