Hey, Shun here!
Basketball is like football. They both have a pretty straightforward core mechanics.
In football, you just need to kick the ball towards the goal post and it will be counted as a score. The higher your team's score, the better. Whichever team have the highest score at the end of the match wins.
Basketball is also like that, but you do it while using your hands and the goal being a hoop.

(Shun's POV)
At the back of our class building, I and the girls of our class are watching as the boys gets tortured by Koro-sensei's Sparta style of training. Using his speed, he was running around and creating some illusions to be at many places at the same time.
It was no joke. He was even throwing pitches that has a maximum speed of 600 kilometers per hour. Basically, it's the stuffs of nightmares for these guys who are pretty eager to win against the Baseball Club of our school.
Their strategy is kinda lame but hey, they barely knew anything about baseball after all. The same could be said about me but I at least know how to precisely throw a ball towards a target and also hit it.
"Pitcher Koro throws 300 kilometers per hour pitches! Infielder Koro lays down an impregnable defense using clones!"
They've been at at for quite some time.
As for why I and the girls from my class are just on the sides, watching them suffer, it's because we're waiting for the newly built impromptu basketball court to be finished beside this field. Actually, it is almost ready.
Whilst I was thinking of such things, a middle aged man wearing a construction helmet approached me.
"Sir, the basketball hoops are now in place, as well as the tapes that indicates the paint, the free throw line, the three point line, and the half court according to regulation. We also installed some lights since it's about to get dark."
"Thank you mister. If you could, please finish the court as soon as you can after we go home after practice. I'll pay you extra for the night differential and overtime. Don't overdo it though…"
"Yes! Understood. Thank you very much. I will be on my way now, then…"
The mister wearing a construction helmet left after that brief conversation with a wide smile on his face.
"Well, everyone, it seems like our temporary court is now finished. We could use them now."
My nonchalant words was immediately met by the girls' and the guys' screams.
"""The heck do you mean by that!? In the first place, why did a whole construction team came here so deep into the mountains!?""" They all said simultaneously. They're really united, aren't they?
"Why…? Huh…" While stroking my non existent beard, I began to ponder as to what I should say to them in reply.
"Well, it's because I have quite a good sum of spending money so I used it to help you guys stomp on the Girls Basketball Club of our school? Ah, if you're worrying about the money, it's just around a few thousand so it's no biggie." Tens of thousands of dollars to be exact.
Of course, my classmates naively bought what I said. I sensed a few gazes filled with suspicion directed towards me but I just ignored them.

(Third Person's POV)
After Shun and all of the girls of Class 3-E entered inside the impromptu court, the guys kept their eyes peeled towards them. Of course, it wasn't just Shun who was teaching the girls but also Mutsuko, Tama, Pochi, and Rokuko who are quite enthusiastic in sharing the knowledge they learned over the past few weeks.
"Hara-san, that's not how you shoot the ball. Look, it's like this, see? Your feet is too close to each other. Keep it shoulder-width apart. Yep! That's right. You got it!" Shun said while directing Hara Sumire at shooting.
"Like… this?"
"Don't look at me, look at the ring! You as well Hayami-san. Put your shooting hand just slightly under the ball. Look, like this." After correcting Sumire, he spotted Hayami Rinka who's shooting the ball with her hands slightly off to the side of the ball.
"This?"
"No, that's kinda off but you're starting to get the hang of it. Look, you put your hand… here, okay?" Shun said while demonstrating again. When Rinka still didn't get it, Shun directly fixed her hand's position.
"It's like that. Remember the position of your hand. Try practicing a few more times and I'm sure you'll get it down in no time. Everything else that you're doing is good so keep it up!"
"H-Ha… Thank you…"
After that, Shun went around teaching the girls how to properly shoot. He especially took some time teaching Kayano who is a complete beginner in basketball.
While Shun is busy teaching a majority of the girls, Pochi, Tama, Rokuko, and Mutsuko have around two or three of their classmates with them who they could teach. The ones who were being taught by Pochi and Tama was having a little bit of a hard time due to their teaching ways that are based on 'feelings' but they actually eventually got it, to Shun's surprise.
"Tsk! That Shirakami… He's popular with the ladies, isn't he?" Mimura Kouki commented.
"Well, isn't it kinda par for the course? He's tall, he's smart, and, although it pains me to admit it, he's more good-looking than me." Maehara said.
"I heard from Kuro-chan that he's very good at cooking as well." Nagisa added.
"Eh? How did you know that Nagisa?" Kimura Masayoshi asked.
"I heard her say, "As expected of Master [Admin-sensei] nodesu! Master [Admin-sensei's] hamburg-senseis are still the strongest nanodesu!" or something like that…"
While this group of boys were talking, Karma approached them and, while wiping his sweat, he plopped right beside them and decided to join in the conversation.
"Hee, you could mimic Kuro-chan's voice pretty good, Nagisa-kun. Speaking of which, I also heard Shirayuki-chan say something along those lines."
"Did you see it, guys!? It looks like our class's flowers are pretty comfy around Shirakami, that bastard! Good thing Kanzaki-san and Kurahashi-san is not amongst the girls he's teaching!" Okajima said while biting a handkerchief.
"Hahaha… What are you being such a Drama Queen about, Okajima? I think the girls are pretty comfortable since Shirakami-san is not pushing it. Look, as soon as he felt that Hayami-san and Touka-san were feeling a little bit uncomfortable, he'd back off a bit." Isogai said.
"Isn't that just a coincidence?" Sugino asked.
"I think not. I've seen him do this to everyone."
While they were talking amongst each other, they heard a very familiar laugh. When they looked at the source, they saw a pink colored creature with a baseball-like shaped head taking down notes.
"Nyu-huhuhu. I see, I see. So that's how you do it, huh. Please continue, Isogai-kun… No, should I call you Isogai-sensei!?" Koro-sensei was looking at them with a face that's saying, "Please teach me more, senpai~!"
The boys got annoyed as they began to bombard their teacher with BB's, as well as trying to stab him with their knives. Of course, they couldn't chase after their teacher for extended periods of time.
Eventually, they're all laying down on the ground while panting heavily.
✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽✽
The day for the Ball Game Tournament eventually came and the girls were called to the school's gymnasium to have their match against the school's Girls Basketball Club. Some of them, especially Okuda was quite nervous but their playing coach for this game, Mutsuko, was able to calm their nerves due to her uplifting spirit.
Pochi, Tama, and Rokuko, who are all massive balls of energy are also with them so they felt rather stupid for being quite nervous in the first place.
"This house is really big nanodesu! So many people are here too nodesu!"
"Waku waku~! Can't wait for the match~!"
Upon hearing Pochi's words, Kanzaki immediately corrected Pochi as she said.
"It's not a house but a gymnasium, Pochi-chan."
"Oooooh! A gymnasium, nodesuka? Pochi now understands nanodesu!"
"But still, there are really many people that are here to watch us lose, huh…" Kayano commented while smiling wryly.
"What are you saying Kayano-san!? We are going to win! Kuro-chan, Shirayuki-chan, Mutsuko-san, and Labyrinthhart-san are all here, after all." Kurahashi said in her usual energetic voice.
"We also trained a lot under Shirakami-kun so we should be fine!" Yada Touka added.
Whilst they were talking amongst themselves, the announcer called them.
『Class 3-E, your match is now about to start. Please proceed to your side of the court…』
"Oh, we're being called now! Let's go everyone. Our starting five, get ready for the match okay?" Mutsuko said.
Their team's starting five is Kayano Kaede, Kataoka Megu, Okuda Manami, Hazama Kirara, and Shirayukineko Sorashi(Tama). Tama will he the Point Guard of the team, Kayano is the Small Forward, Okuda is the Shooting Guard, Hazama the Forward/Cutter, and Kataoka as the Power Forward/Center.
Mutsuko made a rotation for all of them, basically ensuring that everyone could play. However, at the fourth quarter, the line up will be mostly composed of a small ball that's mainly focused on pure offensive firepower. But that line up's defense couldn't be scoffed at though.
Eventually, both team's first five lined up on the center of the court. The crowd was instantly filled with laughter as they looked at the Class 3-E's composition that has a significantly lower average height than the opposition.
"Hehe… Aren't you chibis gonna forfeit the match? I thought you would, given how you guys aren't even trying…" The tallest amongst the Girl's Basketball Club said while looking at Tama and Kayano.
"Yeah. What do they think they could do against us, anyway! Hahaha!"
Whilst the members of the Girl's Basketball Club were belittling the students of Class 3-E, the girls who are being belittled didn't even speak. Although you could see that they're eyes are extremely serious except for one.
"The exhibition game between our Kunugigaoka Junior High's Girl's Basketball Club and Class 3-E's Team will now begin!"
""""Let's have a good game!"""
The game then began with a tip off at the center of the court, with the Girl's Basketball Club getting the upperhand. Once they got the early possession, the PG of the Basketball Club confidently ran towards the enemy's hoop, intending to score through a quick layup.
However, before she could bring up the ball, it was grabbed by a small hand. What's worse is that the little girl even thanked her for it!
"Thank you and bye~!"
Tama ran from coast to coast, before finishing off the play by doing an alley oop with Kataoka. Kataoka finished the play by doing an easy lay up.
"Vui~! Peace~?" Tama said while showing a 'V' sign at their opponents.
"You guys just got lucky!"
"Okay~? Chill~ nya~! Don't worry, be happy~!" Tama tried to calm her opponents down but their just further fanned the flames.
