Have you ever experienced any form of bullying? If so, how did you cope with it?

Believe it or not, I also suffered from bullying back when I was in middle school.

(Shun's POV)

Since Miu was studying at a different school, a Middle School that was just nearby my own High School, I accompanied her there until she safely got inside the premises of her school. She's studying at a private all girls middle school so there are quite a few girls passing by and entering inside the school's entrance one after another.

The tuition in this school is quite expensive but Dad and Mom wanted to give the best education to us three, that's why they decided to enroll Miu here. Shizuka-nee used to study here, so she's an alumnus of this school actually.

As for me, well, I study at a public school. I've seen many fictional books to know that places where rich people study is just a huge clown fiesta.

I've studied at such a school once but was unable to put up with the high and mighty attitudes that those snot nosed brats were showing. Well, there were good people there as well but yeah, I just couldn't put up with those rich second generation dimwits so I decided to transfer.

"Hey, is that Shirakami-san's older brother?"

"Yeah, he is. He's much more different than what people described him to be…" Whilst I was immersed in my own sea of thoughts, I heard some girls gossiping so I looked at their direction before nodding at them with a slight smile on my face.

I recognize those girls. Some of them are Miu's classmates.

Right after I greeted them, those girls ran away from me fast. I followed them with my eyes, leading me to see Miu who turned towards me with a twirl before waving her hands at me.

She have that signature cheerful smile on her face. In times such as this, she's really quite childish.

Waving my hands back at her, I watched as she turned back around and began walking inside the large school building while skipping. Seeing this, I just shook my head.

"Well, I should probably get going or I'll be late…" Looking at my phone, it seems like there's only thirty minutes left before the bell rings.

Thanks to my quick feet, I managed to reach my classroom just in time, ten minutes before the bell rings. Right after I entered, I greeted a few acquaintances before proceeding to plop my butt at my seat.

That was when I felt someone pat me on the back. There's only one person sitting behind me. It's my good old friend Taku.

"Yo, how was your vacation man? I heard that you got yourself busy building your own harem. That's so cold of you man, as your friend, I'm really hurt…"

"Dude. Could you stop being so dramatic? Also, who told you that I was building a harem and whatnot?" Taku let out a chuckle at my reply before shrugging his shoulders.

"I was just kidding with you man. Anyway, have you seen the latest update notes?"

"Yeah, I've seen it. It was kinda okay for me personally. That way, I have the time to play other games." I have two VR games to play so having this kinda update will benefit me hugely.

"Hee, you're starting to play games again, eh. I can see why Miu is really happy these days."

"Of course, it's my responsibility to monitor my sister's mental health and keep her as happy as possible. Especially when Mom and Dad are busy."

"Responsibility, huh… Right, speaking of your parents, do you think they have something to do with this update?" Right before his latter words, Taku was still laid back. However, after that, his tone suddenly changed as he leaned forward, resting his arms on the top rail of my chair.

"I think so. They probably caught wind of Shizuka-nee and Miu staying up all night to grind." I answered while lowering my voice. I'm pretty good at playing dumb, if I do say so myself.

"That's nuts… Man, having powerful parents sure is a pain in the butt."

"Are you saying that about my parents or yours?"

"Actually... Both."

"Fair enough. They both have their own quirks alright." I said before stretching my shoulders a little.

"They sure is. I'm thankful that they care about me but sometimes, it's just a tad bit too much…"

Right after that, we both descended into silence.

"Alright, I'll go talk to someone first before class starts!" Taku said before abruptly getting up and dashing outside the classroom and into the wide corridors.

"Oi! Class is about to start you know!?"

"Don't worry about it! I heard that our homeroom teacher will be late so it should be fine!"

Just like that, he's gone.

"Dang, now I have no one to talk to. Oh well, let's go check what everyone is up to."

Shun: It's a place where older people teach you new things, Rokuko.

Mutsuko: Speaking of school, don't you think it's weird that there were no quests at Shun's world still?

Mutsuko: I also wonder whether or not we could go to a school where we have to battle against a strange alien who destroyed the moon. That sounds like it's going to be interesting.

Rikka: Definitely. I wish it's not something gross like an octopus though…

Satanichia: Are you talking about Lord Cthulhu? I remember my Dad saying that our ancestor have seen that huge squid living at the deepest part of Hell. Aren't my ancestor awesome!? A-hahaha!

Kaede: Your ancestor sounds like someone great. I wonder what a giant squid looks like though?

Mutsuko: You have the Survival Club's spirit, Kaede-chan! Why don't you join our club!?

Kaede: Uh, I'll think about it Mutsuko-oneechan…

Rikka: That's definitely going to be grotesque-looking. I hate it when there's wriggly and slimy characters in games or animes.

Rokuko: Then you shouldn't go looking for a Kraken. I heard that they're perverted sea creatures who kidnaps sailors who happen to pass by its territory.

Rikka: They kidnap sailors… Meaning men? That's definitely the opposite of what I know.

Mutsuko: That's interesting. I saw an h-manga that was recommended to Yuichi's account where a huge tentacly stuff was ****** a JK. Some intense stuffs.

Shun: Whoah there! There's children reading this, you know!? Come on, Mutsuko-san!

Pochi: What was that ****** nodesu?

Tama: Weiiird~?

Rokuko: Yeah, what was that? I also don't know what JK is.

Kaede: It's censored, I think? You don't have to worry about it.

Tama: Okaaay~!

Shun: …It's something unimportant Rokuko. Actually, why don't you go and check if our stock is doing alright? There are already many customers visiting our inn, right?

Looking at the topic that diverged from what it originally was, I couldn't help but let out a dry laugh. Phew, I barely dodged the bullet there.

"What's with the recommendations on that little brother of Mutsuko-san? Is he secretly a fan of 'tentacles'?" Speaking of tentacles, I suddenly remembered that novel my previous life read named 'Adolescent Adam'.

Sometimes… I wish I didn't have a good memory, to be completely honest.

Right when I thought about that disgusting s***fest of a light novel, my phone suddenly notified me of something. This only meant one thing…

"A new quest?" What am I being surprised about. I should have known that this was coming.
