A new beginning

'Dylan you need to relax' Dylan's other half said in a calm and relaxed tone 'I told you before that you would be reborn in a new world with new power and that me and you would become one' Dylan tried to calm down. Dylan had realised that panicking wouldn't get him anywhere so he regained his composure and asked his other half a question, 'Okay well I don't know what's going on but I'm pretty sure you do so could you explain it?'.

After a short silence his other half responded 'Well first of all like I said before we have been reborn into a new world, in this world magic exists and so do dragons and all sorts of mythical creatures, but humans are not the only dominant species on this plant unlike your original world where humanity dominated the Earth , there are elves demons and even a demon king, there are also many other creatures and races on this planet but that's not important. The reason I chose this planet was because it's the ideal planet for you to learn how to properly control your power'. Dylan was listening to the explanation and happy that he had been reborn in a world like he had read about and seen in multiple anime, but first Dylan wanted to know what his power actually was so he asked 'What exactly is my new power, is it something to do with controlling lightning because in the void you were made from it' there was a short silence before Dylan could hear his other half laughing and was slightly confused as to why he sounded so happy 'Finally you have asked the right question, well you're close but you're not exactly right, I don't control lightning I control energy, with the ability to freely manipulate energy not just around you but all the energy in creation the possibilities are endless, with this power you could become omnipotent, unrivalled in power across all of creation' Dylan was filled with joy not only did he get granted a new chance at life but also power that no other being would posses 'I don't even know what to say' Dylan said in his mind, 'I haven't even told you the best part about this power yet' this statement surprised Dylan, he was told he could be given all this power but that's not even the best part, 'So what is the best part?' Dylan asked.

'Well your power gives you the ability to completely break the one law in all of creation that even the beings who created existence themselves can not break'. Dylan was incredibly excited, his heart was beating furiously in his chest after hearing this, what law could he break that not even the beings that created existence could break it. 'So what is this mysterious ability?' Dylan asked as his curiosity was now at an all time high. 'Well simply put, the one law that your power gives you the ability to break is the law that energy can not be created or destroyed, every being in existence cannot create or destroy energy instead they can only use a small amount of it, this means that every being in existence is limited in power, they can only grow so much in power before they reach their limit, but you can create energy from nothing which means that you and only you can continue to grow your power infinitely not even the gods will be able to rival your power' Dylan was shocked he could create energy?, He could even destroy it, before Dylan got a chance to ask another question he had noticed that not only was he being held by his new mother but there was also a man looking at him while talking to his mother, he was listening to them talk but he couldn't understand a word, 'I don't understand what they are saying'. 'His other half quickly responded with 'Don't worry you will be able to understand them soon, since you merged with me your body and mind are far beyond the capabilities of normal humans in this world', just like his other half said after listening to their conversation for a while he started to understand what they were saying.

After a while he could fully comprehend the language that his parents were talking in "He has your eyes dear, green and blue mixed together" his mother said to his farther. "But he has your beautiful silver hair dear" listening to this Dylan felt a little bit uncomfortable as he continued to listen to his parents compliment each other, his vision was no longer blurry so he could clearly see his mother and farther shuffle closer together as the compliments continued. He was worried that at the rate things were going he would have another sibling before he even had a chance to grow older.

After listening to his parents talk for a while Dylan has gathered quite a bit of information, first is that his farther is quite an important man, he is a noble who holds a large amount of land in the capital of the human kingdom that he lives in, across the world there are five major kingdoms first are the humans, then there are the demons, the elves, dwarves and finally the beast kingdom. Each race is not hostile with each other but at the same time, they are not friendly. But to Dylan his first priority is to learn to control his new power, he could worry about the power structure of this world later, when he learns to control his power it wouldn't matter to him who or what stood in his way, sooner or later every nation on this planet and every being alive in the universe would bow down to his power, but first he needs to learn how to control it.

'So how do I control this power?',Dylan asked impatiently as he wanted

To learn how to control his power as fast as possible 'it's not complicated all you need to do is feel the energy around you and how the energy flows through everything in the universe, also mana is made from energy so by understanding the energy you will also learn how to control mana and use magic'. Dylan did as his other half told him and started to try and feel the energy around him, his mother had put him down to rest after she had fed him so Dylan took this time to continue to feel the energy around him and after a while he could feel it, he could feel the flow of energy around him and inside of him.
