Path of Terror
The idea of running on top of the walls in the maze to escape it got scrapped. Tess couldn't believe she didn't search for the tall monster while at the top of the wall. Strange things happened to her while she was up there and so they were back to their original plan. But it wasn't a major head bum. With her no longer separated from Zack, they would get through it faster.
They ignored the aches and cries from their bodies for a break. It took several turns running along the paths in the maze and back until they found a mirror forming. They didn't need the location of the sky-reaching monster to know where to go. First, the mirrors would appear, and then the monsters. The monsters were to get them running in opposite direction from where they needed to go.
"Feel like blasting through monsters this time?" Tess teased.
Zack raised his fist but only flashes of light and sparks came from it. He sighed and summoned two swords. "Nah."
