Lower life form
The monster continued to throw metal beams down at Lanse who continued to slash them away, creating a deadly chain reaction. The heavy metal beams falling from the floors above Tess and Zino's heads began hitting parts of the metal structure. The vibration was strong enough to cause other stacks left by workers to begin falling and the little boy on the ground was about to get crushed to death by ones heading in his trajectory.
Tess took one step forward when the black blur zipped past her to blow strands of air into her face. In a split second the boy was gone and the beams had not even reached the ground yet. It was Zino that speeded off to get him.
The smooth floors were too wet to make a sharp stop and Zino ended up crashing into a wall making a weblike crack in its surface. Luckily the boy held in her arms got cushioned.
