The Assassin

The Night's Watch in a couple of month's had managed to build a sizable fort in place of Castle Black. But it still was significantly weak compared to the Original castle and less defensive.

As Thornir was looking at the small fort in front of him he just shook his head since the Night's Watch were too eager to keep the Free Folk on the other side of the wall.

But from what he was seeing, nothing the Night's Watch were doing would be considered a threat to him or his people. So all the activity near the wall was just the fresh recruits the Night's Watch were getting which is way more than what they had in the TV show and books.

Thornir knew something like this would be expected since his existence beyond the wall was out of the ordinary and would affect the timeline of the future, but he hadn't intervened in any major events, so he didn't expect that much of a change.

Most of his time was spent in Essos so if there is a major change that would happen then it would be there.

Especially because of his recent plan's to find Viserys and his Sister Daenerys since as one of the Main protagonists in the series she would be crucial in the future.

It was also because Thornir wanted to find the three Dragon eggs. He knows that they are somewhere in Essos, but he doesn't know exactly where, but he knows that during Khal Drogo's wedding to Daenerys she will be given three Dragon eggs.

During that event when it happens Thornir will crash the wedding and steal the eggs for himself. Whether he will take Daenerys and her brother with him was something that he was still thinking about since that would give him a justification to go North.

But then he would have to deal with the mouth of Viserys who would be calling him and his people savages. Personally he couldn't care less about either of them and just do what he wants since who is going to stop him.

And lately he has been having thoughts about conquering land since he didn't want to live beyond the wall forever and wanted to experience the warmth of the summer.

So he had a slight motivation to expand, but first he would try things the diplomatic way.

But leaving that matter aside after Thornir investigated the fort and some other castles on the wall he returned to Hardhome after having been gone for half a day.

The first thing he did was take a bath and went to sleep because of how long he was out. Then the next day when he woke up and was brought breakfast by a Maid he noticed something strange.

"Hey you look kind of different today" Said Thornir as he was talking to the Maid who was standing by waiting to take the dishes when he finished.

Now Thornir already noticed something off with his food as it tasted kind of funny. His body had become resistant to poison's and such so if his food was poisoned it would only taste a little weird to him.

"Yes Your Majesty I am fine" Responded the Maid

Thornir obviously knew this was a lie as he could see through that mask that she was wearing. Unlike his normal maids this one had a certain aura of Death around her which Thornir could see.

And he could also tell that she was not part of his city, so she must be an assassin sent to kill him. Luckily Thornir had the power of Magic on his side because if not then he might have died just from eating the food.

But now that he has discovered an Assassin in his mix he must eliminate her or torture her to find out some answer's.

"Well I'm done with my food now, so you can take it to the kitchen" Said Thornir as the Maid walked closer to grab the plates.

Once she was close enough Thornir grabbed her by her neck giving her no time to react.

"You thought I wouldn't notice" Said Thornir as he looked at the woman in front of him who was struggling to breathe

In response, she took out a knife from under her dress and stabbed Thornir in the arm. But his grip didn't loosen and instead tightened even harder.

All this noise had caused the Guard's patrolling the hallway to burst through the door

"Your Majesty, are you Okay" Said the Guards as they saw Thornir holding one of the Maids by her neck.

Thornir dropped the Maid on the ground "Take her to the dungeon's"

The Guard's didn't hesitate as they grabbed the woman and took her to the dungeon's. But just as they were leaving another Maid had come with a cart of food as the other Fake Maid was being dragged out.

Seeing the actual Maid walk in the other Guards pieced together what was going on.

"Your Majesty what happened with the maid" Questioned the actual Maid

Thornir pulled the knife out of his arm before he responded "She was not an actual Maid instead she was an assassin"

The Maid had a shocked expression. 'An Assassin how did they even get in' asked the Maid to herself

"Now I see you brought more food" Said Thornir as he looked at the cart of food.

"Yes well I was supposed to be here earlier, but apparently the cooks lost your food as they said that they put in the original place for me to grab it, but it wasn't there, so I just had them make it again to not keep you waiting" Said the Maid

Hearing that Thornir knew exactly what happened "It seems this Assassin took the original food and poisoned it before bring it up here to me so that's why it was missing"

"She must have snuck in with the newly hired Maids or something which we don't assign to you but train them to do basic chores around the Castle" Said the Maid

"So it would seem" Said Thornir

"But forgetting about that, let me eat some actual non-poisoned food so that I can at least enjoy my morning" Said Thornir as his afternoon he would have a nice chat with the Assassin.

The Maid nodded and brought the food over to the Thornir as he began to eat it.

He knew something was off when the maid to bring him food was different from before. The same Maid brings him food everyday so when this one showed up it caught his attention, but he had just woken up from a nice long sleep, so he didn't think much about it.

But after he started eating the food his body immediately detected something wrong with the food and his senses started to increase which allowed him to see the aura that the Maid had around her.

Never would he expect an Assassin would be able to sneak in his Castle and poison his food. But thanks to the way that he set up his Maids he was able to figure it out.
