35 It's Either Them or Us

As so the trip to Winterfell begin, but it wasn't a pleasant trip as the quickest way to get to Winterfell is through the wall while the longer way would be to sail to the coast of the Bay of Seals and from the coast walk to Winterfell.

Thornir didn't want to sail all the way around when he could just go through the Wall with or without the permission of the Night's Watch not that he needed their permission at all, he just didn't want to provoke something since the situation was already hot and with his impending invasion of the Iron bank was about to get hotter.

So he walked right up to the wall with his 10 elite Warriors 2 of which were Giant's riding Mammoths.

The Archer's on the wall had immediately spotted Thornir and his Warriors and had prepared to shoot them. Unlike last time these Archer's were prepared to fight and defend the wall from these Savages, but there were only 11 of them.

The Lord Commander was immediately notified and had ordered his men to stand down which confused them.

They were confused because wasn't it these savages that were rumored to have destroyed the Original Castle Black.

They couldn't believe that their Lord Commander was allowing them to pass through the Wall safely. But what they didn't know was that this was all a trap to get the King beyond the wall out into the open.

Lord Commander Qorgyle was a hardcore man of the Night's Watch and believed that allowing these savages to pass would be an insult to those that have died fighting them in the past.

So when the Messenger returned and asked him to allow the King Beyond the wall to pass he agreed to do that. But what he really planned was to get revenge against the King Beyond the wall by ambushing him once he crosses the Wall.

So the Lord Commander ordered his men to allow the King to cross the wall. The Archer's still confused could only follow the order's of the Lord Commander or else they would be beheaded for refusing to follow orders.

So at the gate of the wall the men of the Night's Watch opened the Gates and allowed the King to walk through. The Giants had remained outside the Gate since the Mammoths couldn't fit through the Wall. Something that Thornir didn't think about before he came to the Wall.

But once Thornir got to the other side of the Gate what he found was a massive group of Men clad in Black blocking his path while behind him the Gate was closed trapping them inside the Fort.

Thornir sighed at this predicament as his Elite Warriors already had their weapons drawn from the moment they passed the gate.

The Giants on the outside of the Wall started to bang on the Gate aggressively trying to get inside to protect Thornir. The Mammoths also begin ramming into the Gate while the Archers from above the wall shot arrows at them and dropped fire barrels.

Inside the Fort the fight had already begun as the Night's Watch didn't want to negotiate and instead just attacked Thornir and his men.

But Thornir didn't want to risk the lives of his men since this trip was his idea to begin with, so he formed an ice wall in front of his men and ordered them to turn around towards the Gate. His men killed the two Gates men that closed the gate behind them

Thornir then gathered a bunch of magic in his right hand and unleashed a fierce punch towards the Gate which destroyed it immediately allowing him and his men to run to the other gate that leads to outside the Wall.

Thornir also destroyed this gate since he planned to come back but next time he would not be alone. The Warriors who were on patrol near the edge of the Haunted Forest had already witnessed the scene and had sent someone back to Hardhome to inform them of what happened while the remaining Warriors charged towards the wall blocking the arrows with their shields.

All of this had happened in a matter of 10 minutes as Thornir had made it outside the final gate. Once outside the Gate his Elite Warriors and the Giants had formed a shield around Thornir while they retreated towards the Haunted forests blocking all the arrows from the Archers on the wall.

Soon they were joined by the warriors who came from the Haunted Forests. Each soldier formed a giant shield wall to protect Thornir while also protecting each other.

Each soldier acted in Unison working as a team to make sure that each one of them make it home.

Within minutes, they had successfully managed to make it to the edge of Haunted forests and made their way back to hardhome.

The trip back to Hardhome took almost an hour with all the Warriors travelling together but once back what greeted Thornir was two worried wives and an army of thousands that were ready to attack the wall.

"Thornir! I'm so glad that you are safe, when we heard about the attack on you by the Night's Watch we were going to attack the wall will all the available warriors" Said Aranir

"Well I'm back, and I'm pretty upset about the whole situation but not surprised at what they did so we will take the fight to them so prepare all the men that we have" Ordered Thornir

This got Aranir, Stygard, and Thorell excited as for the first time they were going to war. This would be the first war since Thornir became the King and every Free Folk Warrior was excited and eager to join the fight.

Thornir also deployed his very new weapon's the Cannons in his army. While it was still in the experimental stage he wanted to test how they would compare to the ones in his former life.

This time Thornir wouldn't hold anything back and planned to launch a full attack on the Night's Watch in order to not only take the Wall but to wipe out the Night's Watch from the wall.

This was all the Night's Watch fault as the first strike was attacking them the first time during the Night and now for the second time they tried to personally deceive him and kill him. The first time he gave them mercy by only destroying castle Black, but now he saw that it wasn't enough.

Now it's either them or us is what Thornir thought, and he was certainly not going to allow them to continue to live after this.
