The start

Kyle leisurely made a bonfire on the 5th floor, he didn't have any skill to light the chunks of wood but he bought something useful.

Kyle started a fire on a cloth and threw it in the woods, he used the mask to turn into a fake human and blew air at it. In a minute, the bonfire was ready and Kyle took out some steel utensils from the inventory. They were not for making food but containers that had cooked food in them.

He bought 25 trays out, which were not taking much space anyway, he bought food to try for the goblins too.

When all the food was getting ready, Many goblins came out of the portal, their nose perked at the smell of the delicious food getting cooked.

Abrel rebuked many that were going to run toward it that it was master's food. Kyle didn't mind and just looked at the goblins while taking care of the food.

"Oh! one more of you leveled up to 8! Good Good, now we have 3 Hobgoblins amount us.

Kyle and the others went silent after that as every goblin's eyes and concentration were only on the food.

Soon Alicia also entered and smelled the air, she gulped in desire for that food.

"That smells so good! Wait! This is the special mutated pork, right?"

"Yes...that's right. Now, everyone! This food is for taste only, take one tray and eat it slowly as you will not get to eat something like this again for a while!"

"YEAH!!"

"New chief's the best!"

"Dumbass! He is not chief but master!"

That night on the 4th floor, they enjoyed eating and talking, and the bond between Kyle and the goblins also increased. Now that Kyle was here, he planted the terrain change seed on the 3rd floor and placed one on the 5th floor of Abrel's dungeon.

The goblins became very happy while some teared up, they finally got the worth of their hardly done labor.

In the capital,

A group of 20 were sitting on a giant rectangular table. 19 of them were wearing military gear, there was an intense atmosphere inside that room.

"So....you're telling me that some bunch of nobodies from a town that is 3500 km far defeated a dungeon... that we were expecting to get under us?" The one who spoke looked in his 20s but the mature aura he was excluding told it was not true. He was the only one who was wearing worse than formal clothes in that room- shorts and a plain black t-shirt.

"Yes, it appears the newly appointed guild leader formed that team. According to the information gathered, only one from that group is from that town and the others were just present in the town coincidentally. Here." A bulky man of height 6'1 made some papers fly toward the young-looking man.

He went through the whole thing in a minute surprised by some things but lazily kept the papers on the table.

"Increase the taxes of that whatever town by 20%, and try to make that group come to the capital."

"Yes, president." Everyone bowed their heads in front of him for a second. The president just yawned and vanished from his seat the next second. Everyone got up and went to their own things as if used to this situation.

"So, you did all this in just a few days...and this Emilia like Felicia who is the vice-guild master of the town, their names rhyme too~."

"And I am getting 20,000 gold coins and tax-free something in the town." kyle said while snorting proudly. Alicia was surprised but looking at how happy Kyle was, she couldn't help but warmly smile.

"Ah! Listen, I have gained enough personal Dungeon Points to buy the mask, now I can go with you!"

Kyle listened to her with a frown, he opened the shop immediately and bought the mask for her, it was nothing in front of the amount he had amassed. The mask materialized in his hand as he gave it to her instantly.

"...listen, I did that unfair deal to you because I didn't trust you before but now, well I don't know anything about you but I trust you with my life."

Alicia's heart melted with the remark, she went silent and blushed for a while.

"Hm! But what do you not know about me? I was born in an orphanage and ran from there due to the strictness and then got mixed up with an unfair contract in the black market. And you know my life from there."

"That's.....Ahem, well, what do you think about now?" Kyle asked with a smile.

"This is the best time I ever had in my whole life, hehe, I am grateful that you didn't kill me that time," Alicia said making Kyle a little embarrassed.

"You know my past and I know yours too, haha we can be called acquaintances now," Kyle said while laughing, Alicia was all laughs and giggles before but became serious from his remark.

"Hmph! I am going to train!" She said and dashed to the 4th floor making Kyle confused about what he did.

'Wait, I can give these guys the mask too, that way, I can work with their lust.' Kyle had seen some brothels in the town but taking goblins to one was not something he wanted to do.

But, if their lust was not controlled properly, one day, they would turn on him just because of not fulfilling their instinctual needs.

But this was a thing to worry about later, now Kyle just had to go take his award before doing anything big again.

In the town,

The next day in the guild leader's room, Kyle got the news that made him look at Felicia with cold eyes.

"So you're saying we risked our life like that, and now we are not going to get the reward we were promised." Kyle was fuming with anger. The trio was there too, this time, Emilia too was looking at Felicia with a complicated expression.

"Wait, Kyle, let her explain first....please continue Felicia," Emilia said with a forced smile.

Felicia sat on the guild leader's chair and massaged her eyebrows. She had apparently become the guild leader now.

"The capital has increased the taxes by 20% making it 30% now, and the whole economy of the town has become a disaster, I don't even fucking know if the town's people will live here anymore or not! And...I can't give you the special status but this town will give you the 20,000 gold promised but...just not now please."

"20%?!" Kyle couldn't believe it, everyone looked at Felicia with dumbfounded expressions.

"Is it because of what we did?" Jasper asked calmly.

Felicia looked up and after a few seconds...nodded making Kyle sigh hard.

"Sigh..." Keitan just sighed and was going to leave when he heard a dangerous voice.

"This is unfair for this town, to you all, and most importantly, to me," Kyle said with bloodshot eyes, everyone looked at him with complicated faces but he continued.

'They think I will just stay like this, becoming their scapegoat? Bullshit! I am a fucking dungeon master! Just you see what I will do now.' Kyle was not controlling the bloodlust he was excluding. Felcia's face became pale, her breathing erratic from the heavy pressure.

Kyle noticed it and went out of the room without saying anything further.

But one thing was clear now, the capital was getting on his nerves. And this was the turning point in Kyle's journey to build his own capital.
