Becoming Dungeon Fodder

[WPC 318- Dungeon] The world became a mess, with various gates opening everywhere. When special squads made by the government went in there, they could find different creatures inside it; some looked humanoid, while some were the embodiment of true beasts. There was panic everywhere, but it all went away when the special squads returned with a unique gift; they had started manifesting powers; some became very strong, while others had unbelievable powers looking like magic in real life. It all happened by killing the creatures inside the gates that humanity came to call 'dungeons.' After that, people started getting a 'system' telling them how strong they were. Just like that, several centuries passed, with humanity gaining superiority again. Kyle was also an ordinary evolver until a lousy situation led him to become a completely different entity he had never imagined. Follow his journey of unveiling the mysteries behind the so-called 'System'

The 4th floor

Nobody would believe Kyle if he said that he saw a zombie boss huffing in exhaustion. According to some experts, it was nigh impossible to make a zombie exhausted because it was already dead. But Kyle proved them wrong making him snort proudly.

"Time for the kill, go for the head!"

The skeletons that were first piercing their daggers and sword in the zombie's body now only went for the head. The normal skeletons were better at doing so as they were pretty agile.

"Hey, Alicia. How was the experience this time?"

"This time what?"

"Uhh...you know, your group has now changed to me and my boys so, just asking how was the raid for you?"

kyle asked with indifference on his face. But from inside, he was pretty desperate to know. He wanted Alicia to remain with him, so the only option was to give her benefits.

'Am I her friend or.....boss?' Kyle wanted their relationship to improve but he didn't know how Alicia looked at him, whether as a monster or a comrade.?

"It's really fun! Previously, I could only gain EXP very slowly due to doing all the healing as a priority. But now that I have changed my fighting style, I am already leveling up!" Alicia was very excited when speaking. Kyle could feel her happiness and became genuinely satisfied.

What he didn't know was certain kinds of feelings were being formed of Alicia in him. Whether they were due to him being very lonely or something else, that only time could tell.

"Wait first....All skeletons back in the portal, Giant 2, pick the normal skeleton's body and move fast!" Kyle shouted and looked at the skeletons running back to the dungeon without any problem. Giant 2 took the two halves of the normal skeleton in his one hand and ran too.

The giant's left hand which was severed was already in Kyle's inventory.

"Alicia, move back, I think this dungeon will shatter after I choose the award."

Alicia nodded seriously and went back with quick steps. Kyle finally chose the first option.

[Assimialting the dungeon in the Skeleton Dungeon...]

[+500 EXP for Dungeon gained]

[Dungeon level up!]

RUMBLE! RUMMBLE!!

Kyle this time didn't wait at all and quickly went inside the portal leading to his dungeon.

The portal vanished into thin air immediately after his arrival. He saw all the skeletons looking at him with the same old gaze. Alicia had already revived the normal skeleton, Kyle looked at her for a while not understanding why she was frowning.

"What happened?"

Alicia looked at him and aimed at the revived normal skeletons with her hand. Kyle looked at it confused but soon his eyes widened in shock.

"Level 1...?!"

Kyle couldn't believe it, the normal skeleton who was finally at level 3 just like every other skeleton was at level 1 again? All the skills and everything it had learned all these days were reset.

"It seems we finally came to know the drawback of the revival. The skeletons revert back to their weakest form after the revival." Alicia said with a thoughtful gaze.

"Sigh....it is disappointing but thankfully, the causality was only one. We will have to take care of this from now on."

"Go back to training everyone! fight till the other person can't anymore, no killing!"

Kyle gave the order making all the skeletons get back to their business. Kyle on the other hand went to the 4th floor for looking at the changes in person. Alicia sat on the big throne chair and ate the roasted chicken wings Kyle bought for her leisurely.

The 4th floor had some pretty drastic changes. Not only did the soil spread to one of the corners of the room, it even had a tinge of green at the center. kyle went and crouched down, the center was forming some small fresh-looking grass on its own. Kyle didn't even have given it water, the seed he sow was just too majestic.

----

Just like that, 3 days passed...

Kyle grew the ribs he lost back while Giant 2 just fused with the broken left arm again with the use of a little mana.

The 4th floor was developed enough for small lives to sustain. He bought 10 mice just for an experiment on the floor for 5 dungeon points. The mice spawned 5 hours later, on observation, they looked to be already adults.

A day passed with everyone training including Kyle. A problem occurred on the 4th floor, the mice that were looking around in the surroundings were panicking and now frolicking crazily on the floor. Kyle had set the setting of the 4th floor in such a way that they could neither ascend nor descend the floors.

The mice surprisingly didn't eat the bodies of the goblin.

After consulting with Alicia who was now doing her practice on a target placed on the wall. The use of skeletons as a practice was a no go after the discovery of them completely resetting.

"It seems you forgot the main thing about us people with flesh, we need food for sustenance," Alicia said while trying not to laugh.

Kyle looked at the mice now in understanding, after buying some food scraps that were literally only 0.2 Dungeon Points each, he threw all of them randomly at the 4th floor.

'If this plan is a success, I will start making a proper forest area with all types of life...fuck, I'm too excited!'

The raid tab was also updated, there was not only another demon lair which was much more difficult but another Goblin lair to attack.

"Before that, I have to look for something..."

Kyle wasted a lot of his time fiddling with the shop in search of a certain thing. The blue flames in his eyes shone looking at a product in the shop.
