Chapter One_ Be your maid(1)

Thunder, lightening struck as people ran for their lives finding shelter,the rain came so sudden that no one had expected it, the rain had ruined most of their work for the day but i didn't care as i dashed out of the bar.

Tears clouded my eyes and i ran into the streets like a mad person, I've heard of all these in movies or novels and never thought that it'll be my turn at least not this soon.

Being betrayed in secret was okay but openly was wrenching.

I wished i had listened to my dad,friends and even sibling when they warned me about him, but i was too blinded by love to see the cheating side of Mason,he showed me the better side of the world,he showed how love felt like and showered me with care and happiness.

He had always been there for me until i moved to the states,i had been warned severely but i didn't listen to them.

I didn't even know where i was going to,i continued running till my legs got worn out,I knelt down by the streets shivering lightly not because of the rain but because of the scene i had to witness.

A light flashed through my eyes,i looked at my side,then my front where an incoming car was driving towards me,i tried to move my legs but i couldn't.

I closed my eyes awaiting for the pain and death that was about to be befall me, maybe it was for the best.

Maybe in the next life,i would learn not to give my heart easily to anybody i meet.

The pain i was waiting for didn't come and i wondered if the car is still coming, slowly,i opened my eyes and saw a black BMW parked in my front.

The door opened,i looked at the person.

The man was breathtaking handsome,a pointed nose, and nicely shaped chin,his plump lips,his chiseled jawline and awesome biceps.

Come on,what am i even thinking about?

'You can't be blinded by the outside again' i corrected myself and snapped out of my daze.

"Miss"i was lost in my thoughts and hadn't taken note of how many times i had been called.

But it wasn't the man who had called me, it was a middle aged man with a flushed cheek and angry expression"U..uhm..um"i replied,then his flushed cheeks puff up.

Why was he angry, it's not like i've done anything bad?

"Miss, can't you see the damage you've done?"i don't understand what he's saying until i looked around the car when i sighted a scratch in the front of the headlights,it wasn't all, there was also a big damage at the side.

Oh God,how am i going to pay for it?

I can't trouble my dad, he's going through a rough time and my stepmom won't even let him give me a single dime.

I shakily covered my mouth and almost cried again,i can't afford that kind of amount to fix that car.

My one year salary won't be able to pay it even if i was sold.

"Mister,am really sorry. I can't afford it at this time but i promise to pay you back"i said to the boss himself and i could see doubt flashed through his eyes.

He narrowed his eyes at me making shiver,we were both drenched in the rain but he didn't seem affected by the cold.

"And how sure are you that you're not going to run away?"I didn't know what to say.

I clasps my hands together"I'll be your maid"i blurted out the next thing that came to my mind.

He came closer, and i wanted to move back but my legs couldn't move.

I couldn't help but feel like am deliberately stepping into the lion's den.

Is this the right thing to do?

Of course,if it'll save my father cause this man look like some big shot
