22 Beginner's Act

Jaemin was excited, he really had to act the scene with Suzy herself, which he hadn't expected. She was only a trainee now, but he had only known her before as a star, not personally.

He was quite curious about her, about who she was.

He didn't let that show too much though, it would be a bit freaky if he acted like a sasaeng(~) when she wasn't even famous yet. Moreover, she could think he was interested in her.

He was, but he didn't love her, yet.

He didn't know her, without knowing someone you can't really fall in love, can you? Everything could change in the future though, he was open for that.

It all depends on what type of person she really is.

Although he thought that, he felt a bit weird.

He didn't believe in love at first sight, but why was he feeling like this? He was really on his guard around her, not feeling comfortable at all.

To get close to other people, he usually asks if he could drop the formalities, but he didn't dare do that with Suzy for some weird reason. This applied to another girl in the JYP trainee circle as well, which was Nayeon.

He had talked with Nayeon briefly before, but he just didn't feel like becoming close friends with her like he did with other girls.

Maybe he wanted to stay open towards the possibility of dating? That was probably it, since he only did this with people who he is interested in.

He didn't have an overly introverted personality normally. He was indifferent and a bit cold towards others, but not to such a high degree. He felt like he was obligated to act cool, a lot of guys were like this around girls.

Guys who said they hadn't even acted a little different in front of girls they liked are either peeking out of their closets,(~) or lying.

It felt mentally taxing just being around her, and he had only been here with her for what, ten minutes? And they weren't even alone, JYP was here as well!

"You have both practiced your lines right?" said JYP, which broke the akward silence that surrounded them.

"I have" Suzy responded quickly, it seemed like she had wanted to say something before as well, but was unable to.

Jaemin however, answered a little late, since he was a bit out of it at the time.

"Me as well"

"Good, could you start at section 3 then Min-jae?"

He kept encouraging myself in his mind, not that it helped though.

And then, when he thought he would fail on the first line, the System's mysteriousness suprised him yet again. All his points and effort he had put in his acting skill truly hadn't gone to waste

Because he did it perfectly, without any stuttering and filled with emotion and passion.

"You said before that you wouldn't give up. That you would pull me up. Go ahead and pull me out. Please... pull me out."

He looked Suzy straight in her eyes.

Her eyes were so pretty, he almost got lost in them.

JYP was pretty shocked, and Suzy as well.

She also did her lines beautifully though. Now he knew why Suzy was so famous, her acting was truly good and sounded natural. This wasn't yet as noticable as when she was an actual actrice, but he could discern it.

It was like a pretty flower in it's infant stage that had yet to fully bloom.

"I won't give up on you. When I hit rock bottom, you and Teacher Kang were the ones who pulled me up. This time, it's my turn. Although I don't know why you are like this now.... this time, I'll save you."

She also looked at him, intimately.

He could feel his face burning up, his ears were turning cherry red.

Even though her acting wasn't as good as his, it was still impressive

He glanced over to JYP, and he looked content. He even started clapping.

It seems like they had done a pretty satisfying performance.

Suzy looked happy about it, which instantly made him feel even better about it too.

Beautiful women were really dangerous creatures, to let him feel different emotions so easily wasn't something that was supposed to be done so effortlessly. Her smile was too radiant, it felt like she purified the whole room.

Even JYP's mood visibly brightened.

"I'll discuss it with the directors in a bit, I made a video of it just now, so they will be able to see it as well. I'll let you both know as soon as possible. It could be possible that you two would still have to audition in front of them, but it isn't likely."

He wondered which role he would have to play. Would he replace Kim Soo-hyun? Or would Taecyeon and him switch roles? Or would he just be a side character?

He was way too excited about his acting debut, since it would be his first real rise to fame. He had already received plenty attention as a model, appearing in several news articles headlined: Rising Star Model! but it wasn't anywhere near real stars like Kim Woo-bin or Lee Min-ho.

He didn't even need to start about idols, they were a million times more famous than he was.

He would be like that in the future as well.

On top of that, he got to act with Suzy and IU!

They were both very famous, and Dream High was also their debut in acting.

"Suji, you can follow me, Minjae, you go and continue with your regular schedule."

"Yes, seonsaengnim"

He walked out of that room still shaking, since he couldn't believe he had just actually done that, he really acted a scene from Dream High with Suzy....

It felt like he was dreaming.

He had never thought he would be able to even do anything even close to this.

Miss A's debut would be real soon as well, Suzy would become famous earlier than him.

He was kind of curious about the result of him acting in Dream High though, would it change the viewership ratings? He hoped it wouldn't be lower, but he didn't expect it to go higher.

In the past, it averaged around 20%, which is pretty amazing. It was a lot higher than other idols' acting debut, since most of the drama's they starred in only racked a mere average of 3%. It could bring them popularity, but not recognition.

It wasn't a national drama or anything like that, but it was quite popular in both Korea, Japan and overseas. For his debut, it would be plenty.

It would form a good foundation for his acting career, and would probably be one of the reasons why he would be able to star in a lot of popular drama's.

His inmense talent in acting could be shown to the world as well, he would maybe even win a few awards.

Like: Best Couple, Best New Actor, Most Popular Actor, you name it.

The only thing he needed to do now was wait. He was really sick of waiting for everything honestly, but there was no solution for that.

A good sword needed to be sharpened after all.
