Chapter 54

On the floating land, a luxurious building was built there. Although it wasn't as tall as Pearl Jewel Hotel, it was wider and grander even from its exterior architecture. From the outside, it would only look like a massive mansion, but anybody who entered a step inside would know what kind of things were hosted by this building.

The Morality House. A place of no moral. A place where lust was exposed to its roots. A place where humans would surrender to their greatest pleasure and became animals.

Lixue and Thirteen landed right in front of the building's entrance gate. The guards were already aware of their arrival since they were far away. The aerial defense system somehow couldn't activate, and they could only watch as the 2 trespassers arrived. Now that they were on the ground, they immediately pointed their weapons at them.

"Who are you? You are trespassing Full Moon's territory. Leave or we'll shoot." The person who was apparently the team leader stepped forward.

Thirteen raised his hand and struck the whole team with his lightning. They didn't even have any time to scream in pain as they all dropped dead with charred bodies. The scent of burned meat slowly spread to the air.

"That's why I told you to practice," Lixue clicked his tongue, "You killed them too fast."

"What can I do? This is lightning, not electricity. In addition, thanks to your essence, it seems like it is way stronger than it is supposed to be. I mean, I almost died in the process."

"Well, I myself really did die. For people like us, strength and power aren't that easy to get," Lixue replied, "Their nature is the same. You practice with one person at a time until you can control it to not kill them and only paralyzed them. What's the fun of killing them so fast? Besides, our objective is not to kill."

"As you wish, Your Majesty." Thirteen casually bowed as if he didn't hear the first part of Lixue's words.

Lixue rolled his eyes at him before continuing forward. The people inside weren't yet alerted by the gatekeepers. Not like they could.

There was nobody outside, so they directly go to the front door. The door was still closed at this time of the day. He rang the bell beside the door like the normal guest he was.

The surveillance at the entrance moved to see who was the visitor. Lixue and Thirteen both looked up and smiled. Just as the surveillance personnel wanted to scan them to get their identity, the feed suddenly cut off. Whatever they did, they couldn't get it back on. It was the same as the other cameras at the entrance.

Knowing something was wrong, they alerted the security guards in the building and several of them were sent to meet the 'guests'.

Lixue and Thirteen waited for a while before Lixue sensed several people coming towards the door from the inside. He grinned in excitement.

The security guards arrived at the entrance door. Before they could open it, the door was blasted from outside. It squarely hit those who were standing right behind it. They were flung several meters away from the impact and fell down with the heavy door dropping above them. Pained groans immediately echoed in the entrance hall.

The two honorable guests stepped inside and invited themselves in. Thirteen knelt down in front of one of the security guards and struck him with the lowest output he could give. The security guard spasmed before losing consciousness with his eyes still wide open.

"Not bad. He lost his intelligence but that didn't really matter. Though I prefer they'll be fully aware of their future activities. Especially the ones with rabbit masks later." Lixue evaluated.

"Copy that. I'm getting the hang of it." Thirteen replied while handling the other 4 guards.

The surveillance inside the entrance hall was still active and the alarm was activated. Not long after, many footsteps were heard coming from all the 3 hallways connected to the entrance hall. There were approximately more than 10 people coming from each side.

Thirteen took out 2 retractable metal batons and got ready to attack. When the people appeared, they were about to shoot but their weapons suddenly malfunctioned and shut down.

Thirteen stepped forward and took out 3 guards coming from his left in one breath. He found that the lightning current became weaker when he transferred it to a medium. His weakest voltage now is just perfect to paralyze them in one hit without damaging anything. At the very least, they would be out cold for more than half a day.

The guards threw away their guns and took out their knives. Thirteen thought they were going to go to him, but the guards coming from the front and right head straight to where Lixue was.

It was clear they wanted to take out the weakest first and either make him a hostage and kill both of them or make him a hostage and capture both of them. Either way was the same. It might've worked if the plan didn't count in their stupidity.

Lixue didn't move from his position. He put his hands inside his pants pocket and mobilized his demonic energy. The guards coming towards him fell one by one. Not knowing what they tripped on they looked down.

But what they saw was their feet separated from their legs and were left at the spot where they fell. Blood poured out incessantly from the end of their legs. The pain that they didn't felt hit their brain from the visuals and shock their nerves.

"Arrghh!!"

"Aahh!! My feet!!"

"Urggh!!"

Cries and groans of pain from the guards howled in the hall. The guards on Thirteen's side were already taken care of and were paralyzed on the ground. The surveillance personnel watched in fear as the whole scene took place. They couldn't explain what just happened. Even with their bird's eye view, they couldn't see what that young man did to cut off all the feet of more than 20 people there in one go.

They saw the red-eyed young man gazed at them through the lens. They unconsciously shuddered. The young man mouthed a word to them with a vicious smile.

'Run.'

Run like a prey you are.

Then the camera was destroyed.

After the second explosion occurred in Cardinal's head office, debris from that floor fell to its lower floor including the staircase. The way up to Pei Yang's office was now blocked.

"Is everybody okay?" Yanyu deactivated her light shield and stood up to check.

"We're fine!"

"No injuries here!"

The Keepers answered her one by one. Yanyu exhaled in relief and looked up. Shin Meimei climbed up several stairs and reported back.

"The stairs are blocked. We can only go out to one of the 2 floors above us. If we want to reach the top floor we got to use the elevator."

"Is there a chance that the explosion opened another way out on that floor?"

Shin Meimei shook her head, "From the size of the debris, the explosive must've been placed in the inner part of the floor. It probably opened a hole on that floor somewhere, but not the building's exterior since the shutter is already activated."

A call from Bai Linghua entered, "Captain, what happened? We heard another explosion, but nothing happened outside."

Bai Linghua call confirmed Shin Meimei's guess. Yanyu told her the situation and thought about the next best option. She decided to go back to the ground floor, "We're going back down. It's too dangerous trying to go back up while we are blind about the whereabouts of the explosives. Instead, we'll make several teams to locate the explosives in the rest of the accessible floors for the specialized department later."

"How are you going to get out from the building?"

"We'll try asking the cyber team's help. We'll go to the main control room and connect them to it to override the system. As for the equipment we requested earlier, use them to help the specialized department go to the upper floors. We'll keep updating each other situations every hour."

"Yes, Captain." Bai Linghua saluted and ended the call.

Yanyu relayed the order to the other Keepers and Cardinal members. In the end, they walked back down. They heard Pei Yang cursing angrily and mocked the Keepers and OPB for their incompetence. Infuriating as it was, the Keepers kept their cool and ignored him. They didn't have enough free time to pay him any more attention.

"Meimei, you try contacting that hacker friend of yours again. Tell them we can make a deal if they can take control of the system and get us out."

"I also want to, but he blocked me. How many times I call hi–"

She hasn't finished her words when the person they were talking about called her communicator. She immediately picked it up, but her words were cut again.

"Let's make a deal."
