Rolla, who Arslan had instructed earlier that day not to bring any large packages to sell at his spots, was standing on his usual corner, arms crossed and eyes wide open as he watched his crew work tirelessly to sell whatever little they had that day. Everyone was on high alert, knowing there was a high chance that the cops would show up and ruin things for them today.
But Rolla was already prepared for such a possibility to happen, as he only had a baseball bat tucked away in the corner of the alley beside him, that was his sole tool of protection today, as he and his crew weren't allowed to carry firearms.
"Hey, Slim, how's it going?" Ryder, who seemed unusually energetic today, said as he walked over and greeted Rolla before standing beside him, as he seemed like he didn't have anything better to do for the day. "Has anyone shown up to cause you some trouble yet?" he asked.
