Constantine stared at Belur, wondering what magic she had against him.
"Yes," Batman looked up.
"What..." Constantine was about to ask when he saw the Batfighter appear outside the glass window.
From the bottom end of the fighter jet protruded a weapons mount with three barrels.
Damn it!
Constantine quickly lay down and, the next moment, the sound of bullets louder and denser than that of a Gatling gun came from above his scalp.
Belur's body was instantly shredded by the bullets fired from the Vulcan Cannon, and inside were the same internal organs and tissues as humans.
Constantine looked on in shock, before Batman effortlessly lifted him up with one hand.
He then pointed his other hand at the bat fighter and shot a small arrow with a rope from his wrist.
The hook latched onto the wing of the fighter jet, and the autopilot-enabled fighter jet quickly soared into the air.
He pulled Batman and Constantine out of the mansion.
In the hallway, Belur, who was originally scattered in a pool of flesh and blood, suddenly regrouped as if rewinding time.
After a few seconds, she returned to her ugly previous appearance.
But the destroyed house and the demons that were affected and died were completely dead.
Although they killed her once just now, Belur wasn't angry but observed with interest in the direction the bat fighter was flying away.
"Interesting human."
...
In the fighter jet, Constantine yelled at Batman.
"Are you crazy?"
"Tracey's soul is in that guy's body, if he dies, Tracy will die too!"
Batman remained calm:
"We must not let that mansion's devil escape from there, no matter the cost!"
Constantine sharply turned his head to look at him:
"You know, don't you? You know Tracey is inside!"
Batman didn't respond, but this already showed his answer.
He had planted a microphone on Constantine before leaving him and decided to do it alone.
So Batman heard all his conversations with Belur.
Though it's a pity, though Batman also suffers in his heart.
But he has to choose, and between the individual and the city as a whole, he can only choose the city.
"You, you son of a bitch!"
Constantine stepped forward and punched Batman.
But Batman, who masters almost every martial arts technique in the world, didn't flinch and let his fist hit his face.
The Batfighter has been set to operate on autopilot, so no human is required.
Seeing that he didn't defend himself at all, Constantine grew even angrier and continuously threw punches at Batman.
As if pouring out his anger, trying to forget his helplessness.
But this battle suit is already an upgraded nanosuit, and Constantine hardly damages the opponent except for hurting himself all over his body.
"Is it enough?" Batman got up from the ground and looked at Constantine, whose hands were almost broken.
"It's never enough!"
At that moment, the fighter's communicator suddenly rang, interrupting the fight between the two.
Batman connected and on the other end of the line, Dane's voice could be heard.
"Where are you now?"
"In the fighter jet, I just left the devil's mansion."
Dane heard the difference in his voice and asked curiously, "What happened?"
"I just killed Belur, the demon who orchestrated all of this behind the scenes."
"Are you sure?"
"What do you mean?" Batman frowned, having seen the demon torn apart with his own eyes.
Dane passed the phone from one hand to the other and continued:
"I advise you not to jump to conclusions until you uncover the truth."
"A demon as intriguing as this is not easier to kill than Gotham's psychopaths."
Batman immediately turned his head to look at Constantine, and the other party agreed and wanted to take out his mobile phone and call London to inquire.
But his fingers on both hands were almost broken and it hurt to move, so he finally had to ask Batman to take out the phone from his pocket.
After calling Chas, Constantine asked him to attend to Nightmare Nurse.
"Asa, how is Tracy?"
"Not good. If you don't retrieve her soul quickly, her body will die."
"The most I can do right now is delay the process."
That means Tracy is still alive! She's alive!
Constantine was delighted.
But Batman frowned and looked serious.
Even such an attack can't kill him, so what should I do?
He immediately contacted Dane.
"You guessed it right, the matter is not yet over, the demon is still alive."
"It's impossible for any tangible creature to be truly immortal. Even I can die, let alone a simple demon," Dane said.
"He should know some special black magic and escape the catastrophe of certain death."
"Find his weak spot and kill him, isn't that your strong suit, Batman?"
"I don't know much about magical things and I don't kill people."
"Demons are not humans, why don't you ask Mr. Constantine? He might become our team member in the future."
Batman looked at Constantine, who was cracking his fingers and smiling beside him.
"I really doubt it."
