Quarrel

Liam had to admit that he missed his aunt, Lucy. Having her in the house made it feel less lonely and less too large for him and Cindy. He was happy to see how excited Cindy had been when she saw her mother. He envied their bond and wished he could share it with his child one day. He had a close relationship with his mother but not with his father. He used to wish he could sometimes hang out with him, but he had grown past that stage and just accepted things the way they were. 

As usual, he called his mother after school and realized his father was there with her. They spoke for a while before he decided to go get ready for the party. He didn't like parties that much, but he liked to go once in a while to unwind. Lately, he has had a lot running through his head and would really like a good distraction, such as this party.
