Runaway

He decided to slowly recover in two weeks in the Hospital while changing his body slowly. Everyday Hinata used to visit and Hima used to follow, it was very heart warming for me that my Sister and Mother take care of me. She made breakfast everyday and used to bring it here to have it together with me. It was new for me that such affection was shown with such a pure heart.

Then the afternoon food contract was commissioned to Sarada upon fierce negotiations between Sakura at the behest of Sarada and Hinata. Sarada used to get home cooked food in the afternoon, she was used to cooking as Sakura was always busy. She used to get me food at 1 in the afternoon. Mitsuki used to tag along with her most of the time and Sakura, Shikadai a few times. It felt funny that it looked like 'Morning is for family. Afternoon is for friends. Then what is night for enemies?'

Nothing like that Evening was again Hinata with Hima with fruits and veggies.Besides them for food a lot of other people started visiting him. There was Naruto, Shikadai, Inojin, Chocho, Ino, Shino etc.,

It was kinda peaceful except for one thing. I started changing my physique, first I started removing those weird lines of Naruto on my cheeks. Then I slowly changed my hair from blonde to black, I even started to change my physique to be similar to kakashi. Imagine a young Kakashi with black hair, that's what I became in the end of 2 weeks. I don't mean the facial features but a body with slightly thinner frame than before like sasuke or kakashi.

These changes were not seamless at least not for the doctors. They were losing their hair because everything seems normal but my body is changing very slowly. This made them put so many devices on me to monitor my body condition day and night. It was like a living hell for me. Imagine you're faking a sickness and you're getting multiple shots in your ass as treatment.

He changed his body soo much that people who didn't know the fact might just mistake him for some random guy and not the Hokage's son. Total overhaul of his body happened in a span of just 2 weeks. The doctors were not sure what's happening but seemed to have realized that the changes have stopped after 2 weeks. So they let them go after 1 more week of monitoring.

While he was in the treatment some conversations happened.

Sakura's conversation:

On the third day of the treatment when no one was around ,she came to check up on Boruto, she slowly picked up his hand and held it with both hands. Boruto was perplexed at what was happening. She said to him "Thank You, Boruto. Thank You very much".

Boruto immediately understood it was about Sarada and said "It's okay Sakura-san we look after each other always."

Sakura looked at him with firm eyes and said "Although I might look calm I was really shaken when I got to know Sarada might've died in that circumstances. She's the only thing that keeps me together and if something happened to her - I can't even imagine how I'll be".

Bor: "Okay calm down Sakura-san. She's my friend, of course I'm gonna save her although she's got a rigid personality"

Sak: "What do you mean rigid. She's such a lovely child. She takes care of food because her mom is busy, she never complains and stands firm in her beliefs."

Bor: "Oh, my bad"

Sak: "She's a bit more self-reliant so she wouldn't ask for help even if she needs. So please look after her and I'm sorry for showing such a sorry side of myself in front of a child"

Bor: "Sure, Sakura-san. She's my friend anyway and it's okay to show your sorry side if it's not all the time." said with a smiling face.

Sakura said with a bright smile "Well, when did you get soo good at teasing. I feel bad for Sarada now".

Boruto was mesmerized at her smile. She looked so beautiful with a smile. He said without losing composure "You're Smile is beautiful Sakura-san. Do smile more".

Sakura was a bit flattered but didn't show it on her face and said "Wow, you're trying to flirt with an old woman like me now? maybe I should tell Naruto about his son's bad habits."

He didn't lose his cool and said "I'm just stating the truth"

Sakura looked at his confidant face and said "It's hard to send your child into the life saving missions and be peaceful. Show Hinata also that sort of smile, I'm sure she will be happier to see you happy. Take care and don't run away just because your body is changing." said with a teasing smile in the end and left.

Boruto said on the top of his lungs "I won't runaway"

Ino's conversation:

On the fifth day of treatment Ino came with a few flowers and sat near Boruto. She said "These flowers emit oxygen and hence are treated as a symbol of restoration. Hope you get well soon."

Bor: "Thanks Ino-san, you didn't have to come all the way."

Ino: "I came because I wanted to come and say my Thanks"

Boruto was confused and asked "Why?"

Ino: "Because you saved Sarada. You see Sakura is my best friend and for her Sarada means the world. If something ever happened to Sarada I believe I would lose my Best friend. Not by means of suicide but by means of shutting off the world kinda thing. You understand?"

Bor: "Yes I understand"

Ino: "So I came to thank you for saving my friend. Thank You"

Bor: "Okay I guess"

Ino then put on a teasing hat and said "You know a prince saving a princess in a pinch, then princess falling in love is too cliche don't you think". Boruto immediately understood the meaning and said "She's just a friend". Ino said continuing the sentence "for now".

Boruto didn't know what to say. He believed she'll retort anything to suit her imagination and just looked blank, he was surprised that she changes the shades soo quickly.

She then went ahead and said "Don't run away just cause your face is changed. Hinata will be sad" and started leaving.

Boruto again screamed out of his lungs "I won't"

Oro's conversation:

Orochimaru visited him on the 12th day and he sat beside the bed with a calm face as usual and said "You seem to be enjoying yourself"

Boruto was a bit wary because he knows that Orochimaru is someone who only does what he wants to do regardless of good or bad. Boruto said with a wary tone "You're the last person I'm expecting to see here"

Orochimaru didn't really feel offended and smiled while saying "I see that you're wary of me and that's a good thing. Your father sent me your blood sample and explained the situation in his letter. After testing a lot I concluded that you had the capability to change and you are changing willingly rather than affected by something external."

Boruto panicked that he was found out. He never considered the possibility that someone's gonna find out what he's doing. He was visibly shaken to have his secret exposed. He questioned Orochimaru "How did you find out?".

Orochimaru said with a smile "You just gave away by asking that question".

Boruto was shocked and was visibly irritated that he fell for such simple trap. Either way his secret is exposed.

Orochimaru continued saying "I did all kinds of test and found that you're blood is not affected in any manner and didn't seem to be changing at all from external factors. So, I concluded that the changes that happened to you are of your choosing and capability. I'm surprised and decided to visit you to confirm it. And you did confirm it." said with a smile that was genuine.

Boruto asked "So, you're here to make me a guinea pig after spilling the beans?"

Orochimaru said "No, I didn't say anything to anyone and don't take me for a mad scientist. I ask before taking what's others, if you wanna follow me you can just like Sasuke did."

Boruto said quickly and firmly "No, I will not"

Orochimaru said with a bit of surprise "You don't seem confused or anything so I think you know where your power came from and know how to use it. Interesting"

Boruto was visibly shaken at having his secret exposed and being told that and even deducing a few other things. Orochimaru said "Well. I'll leave since you seem to have a lot on your mind. Don't run away just because i found out your secret" and started leaving.

Boruto didn't bother to say much to him and thought 'Why is everyone soo concerned that I am gonna run away. What did this bastard do to make everyone think of it'
