Nobles and their royal problems

A Large hall filled with colorful clothes. Hundreds of politicians and nobles dance around. Amber sits in an incredibly uncomfortable chair. It was more of a punishment than a reward as other thoughts.

"You said he would show up." Her dad whispers into her ear. "We've already delayed the meeting until the end of the banquet! and there isn't much time left." Shrugging her hands Amber replies, "I gave the invite to the most trustworthy person I knew, they definitely gave it to him, but the problem is if he comes."

Tightening his grip on the throne, Amber's dad ensures her that if he doesn't show up, he's gonna kill him. Approaching them from the dance floor is one of the young nobles. One of many that tried to wind Amber's favor.

"My lord, My Lady, I have come to inquire on this fella we're waiting for, is it truly necessary? To my knowledge, he's a low-life criminal. We could just commence the meeting without him and after send a task force to arrest him."

While Amber frowns at the idea, Her father explains that the sheer number of backers that man has would make it impossible to arrest him, so if we don't want to repeat yesterday, second burning of Aquaria, we should talk.

Her dad always loved to talk his way out of problems, compared to her grandfather, He's always in the middle of the problem, drinking and having the blast of his life.

Sighing, Thinking that another, one came to court her favor she prepares to say something only for her father to stand up. "Joseph Nordstorm! My honor to meet you is all mine!"

Standing up, Amber looks over the old man. After all, he's Raven's Grandpa even though she doubts that he knows that his grandson is right now the Crime lord. Looking kindly at her with his soft eyes, he smiles and announces. "I'm gonna be taking friend away from the banquet, he seemed to have drunk a little bit too much."

Bowing down slightly, He leaves for Amber's grandpa, or the Hero of humanity, which is hitting on young maidens on the dance floor. Slightly scuffing at the scene her father asks her what's so funny.

"Nothing, it's just funny seeing those two be such best buds even though they're total opposites." Nodding his head, he tells Amber to remember this very well, since opposites always attract each other.

Watching him carry away, the unceremonial Hero king, out of the hall, Thye both laugh.

*BASH* Suddenly the hall door gets kicked in and two individuals walk in. Everyone is stunned at the audacity of the men, but once they recognize one of them as the Saint Gabriel they return to their pointless talks.

But the same can't be said for the other man, or.... a woman? From far away, one can only thee the long black hair shaped into a ponytail with a white scarf.

Covered in dirt smelling like he haven't showered in days. Everyone keeps their distance.

Raven looks at Gabriel and asks him what's the problem. "You smell, that's the problem." Raising my hands, I shake. "Of course, I smell! I haven't showered in two whole days!"

Approaching the throne, some of the guards slowly make their way to stop them, but the king calls them off. Bowing deeply in front of his majesty, I introduce myself.

"I'm Raven The crime lord of The South and I have arrived as your invitation ordered."

Silence, everyone just looks in shock, the previous Lady of the South was a beauty pale like the moon, yet now it's a man that barely looks like he knows how to take care of himself.

"Raven... I familiar name, did we meet before?", Shaking my head, the whole hall gasps in shock while Amber just slaps her face. "You know that not answering a Royal with verbal confirmation is seen as a great offense."

Getting another nod, one of the ladies in the hall faints.

Smiling widely, the king starts to laugh like crazy, everyone thinks that he's about to kill that poor man, yet he just grabs him by the shoulder. "You are the true definition of a criminal! whenever the last lady would show herself or the one before her, they'd act like nobles! Yet you..... You act however you want!"

Letting go of my shoulder, one of the servants quickly runs up to wipe it clean. Telling him off, the king just wipes his hand onto his pants. "Now that you're here, we can finally being that meeting."

"I object your Highness! We can't let such trash roam the royal halls freely, not to mention after such disrespect shown to the crown!" Many of the Nobles agree, while the politicians silently wished that I would discredit the crown.

Looking at him, I see Amber holding her face. "Not this fool again, he already tried to remove you from the meeting before." Looking down at the young man, the king sighs.

"You've brought this onto yourself, Raven, maybe if you showed more respect you wouldn't have to fight him. I hereby declare a duel of honor! Between Lord Raven, and Sir Philip!"

As everyone applauds Philip's braver and loyalty to the crown. The royal guards move people to the side so we could fight in the middle of the hall.

Standing proudly, I notice a large gem on his ring. "A medium?" Laughing he asks me if I'm scared. Since a powerful medium can increase once might by 5 times.

"My grandfather always said that people who use a medium are not confident in their basic ability, thus there's no reason to fear them, since instead of getting stronger, they look for Gems that can boost their Sephirah Rank."

Not taking kindly to my remark, he tells me that he's a master of Yesod.

"Ready?" A guard in the middle asks. getting a nod from the noble I shake my head. "No! He's got a medium and I don't." Telling me that it seems like a me problem. I feel a vein pop on my head.

Turning to Gabriel, he sighs and grabs a musician's violin. And throws it to me. "it's been a while since I used a violin as a medium." Others look at me as if I was crazy, but up at the throne, Amber looks like she's about to fall out of her seat.

"My Daughter, Is there... Something with the violin?" Nodding her head, she tells him that she heard it only once, but wished to hear it ever again. Not understanding what she means by that, they get interrupted by a loud bang that shakes the hall.

The battle has started.

"Who's fighting?" Both jumping out of the chair, The king yells. "Father! You can't scare me like this!" It's The two grandpas, "I'm sorry if I would have known he would be like this, I would have never let him become a father."

Looking in disbelief at the old sage, Amber, and her dad both thank him for writing them off so easily. "Anyways who's fighting-"

.....

Jumping up at the sudden attack, from the noble, I ask "Philip was your name right?" Not getting a response, the purple fog begins to creep up on me.

"Shit! He's really a Yesod master!"

Many think that Yesod is the first state where thoughts can turn to reality, but that's not true Yesod is the Foundation and is usually associated with illusions and hallucinations.

Just remembering Alice, I get mad, Since what kind of an illusionist must be controlling her?

Putting the bow, onto the violin, I start to fight back. Firing ice around me, I play.

If one were to describe the sound it would be the hate against an Idea or a certain belief. The violin is fast and aggressive, yet not towards a person, but towards an imaginative enemy.

"Don't ignore me, Raven! I'm right here!"

Starting to stop my foot, my ice turns into a cold breeze. Blowing the fog around me. Flying around me as if I was the center of the vortex, the tone gets high and the fog flies even higher.

Falling onto Philip, he yells out that his illusions won't work on him.

Not holding back, I start to feel my shoulder give out. The wound from the bullet is more serious than I thought. No longer stomping my foot, I try to keep the tempo of the music in my head to no avail.

My minds get clouded by dark thoughts and so does my music. The desperate desire for salvation that one knows won't come, cries out over the hall. Starting to lose the rhythm, I worry, that I won't be able last, so I got ready to change but I heard it.

The musician behind the drums joins my rhythm, it's a simple repetition of high notes and easily adapted to my rhythm, Feeling my mind clear up, the new hope begins.

And with the new hope, the evil strengthens. Striking a high note, Philips makes a new fog that strikes me like an all-devouring dragon.

My small cold wind stands like a knight trying to save the princess in the face of an almighty monster. Falling to his knee my knight of fog screams his final battle cry.

Joining in, the whole Musical stage places with everything they got. With the knight falling the music goes dark as the evil wins.

Hitting a single high note, Silence descends and a single strike cuts the dragons!

The knight Cut the dragon's head and flew through the sky as the symbol of justice, only to fall down onto the wounded dragon.

The music's high and everyone watches the fog, eagerly awaiting the result of the battle.

Seeing my holding the Violing bow towards Philips's neck, he falls over, Defeated.

Cheers and claps resound across the hall as good triumphs over the evil.
