Getting closer

As Edward and Amber, now see the building in its clarity. Edward asks about something that's been bugging him since they got separated from Raven.

"That scarf, why do you have it?" Surprised by the question, she pulls on the scarf. "Oh, ehm, Raven gave it to me. I don't remember when, but since he broke his leg I have it on me."

Nodding, he tells her to keep that scarf safe as it's very important to Raven.

Now interested, Amber tries to ask more questions about this particular scarf, but all she gets are maybes if even that.

"Common there has to be something you can tell me about this scarf. You can't just tell me that it's important and then leave me wondering!" Smiling, Edward jumps over a large gap.

"Watch me." Proceeding to speed up, Amber has to start sprinting with all her might just to keep up. Laughing Edward begins to taunt her. "It looks to me like you can't ask any more questions."

Huffing like crazy, Amber just wonders, how Edward a smoker can run this fast without any problems. "Can? HUF We HUF SLOW DOWN?!" Jumping over a gap, Edward catches Amber and tells her.

"Sure, but keep those questions about the scarf to yourself. I myself don't know much about it other than that the scarf originally belonged to someone else." Realizing that his loose mouth spoke too much again. He points to Amber.

"Not a single word! Understand?!" Keeping herself from laughing, she nods her head. "Now it's my turn to ask a question!"

Confused, Edward tells her that he just accidentally answered her question, so what does she mean it's her turn to ask a question?

"Well, you asked me how I got this scarf, and I told you how I got it, afterwards you didn't answer my questions. And no just because you misspoke doesn't count as an answer."

Closing his eyes, he decides to answer the question as long as it's not about the scarf.

"Great, then what happened between you and your brother?"

Okay, that's even worse. Starting to scratch his neck he replies.

"Well, it's a long story-"

"Everything is a long story!" Amber argues.

"Fine! You know that we're both Tenfolds, right? Well after the fall of our noble family, my brother lost himself and decide to do crime-"

Throwing her hands, Amber says. "Slow down! Fall of your noble family? Why? When?"

Rubbing his head, Edward continues. "Look, It doesn't matter why our family fell out of the grace, Long story short, My brother blames me for it. So after he became a crime boss, I was very unpopular among his men. Afterward, I met Raven. He brought me under his wing and kept me hidden from Gunter as he is a crime boss as well, and now it's been a month since we began working together."

Listening to his story Amber understands most of it but asks another question.

"Raven is a crime boss? I thought that you two were just some random dou of criminals, who knew." Getting up, they dust their clothes.

"Anyway, what's the plan?"

*BOOM!* A large explosion cuts Edward off as a huge chunk of the police station explodes.

....

As Raven walks through the stations' halls, he turns a corner and sees someone he wasn't expecting.

"Gunter?" Holding an unconscious volunteer in his hands he smiles. "Raven, to think that my brother didn't find you first. His incompetence really knows no bounds."

Chuckling, I shrug my shoulders. "I guess it runs in the family." Not taking too kindly to my remark he jumps at me and slams his fits again my cane.

"I dare you to say it again!" Starting his barrage of wall-breaking strikes the hall's ceiling comes down. "Gunter! Please! You can't be mad at Edward for taking after you!"

Having enough of me. He reals his arm back and I see it. Purple rings shatter all around.

"GUNTER NO!" Trying to run away from the hall that's just too long, I hear.

"Taste my TRUE PUNCH!" Barely grabbing onto a door the entire side of the building gets blown apart. Flying through the air, I freeze a side of a building and slide down on it as if it was a giant slide.

Hitting the ground, I rolled a few times before finally coming to a stop.

"Impressive. To freeze an entire side of a building requires the strength of a Tipherete Sephirah, but you're a mere Yesod. You can't continue to fight."

Pulling myself up, I feel any sense of energy inside me gone. "Gunter shut the hell up and-"

Not even getting a chance to finish he slams his fist into my stomach. Flying back, I stick my cane into the ground. "Thank God it's made out of metal."

Bracing for another hit, I expected Gunter to jump at me again, but instead, I saw Edward tackle his brother. "EDWARD!" Never more in my life was I happier to see that blonde fool.

Seeing Amber jump down into the crater, I try to tell her to get away.

"Amber!" But instead, she thinks I'm calling her, cursing at her cluelessness.

"Amber! Get out of here! it's not safe!" Telling that she knows she hands me my scarf. "I know, but I wanted to give this to you before anything." Taking the scarf, I smiled. Quickly throwing it around my neck. I thanked her.

Climbing out of the crater. I see people running around all scared as huge chunks of the police stations crash into some of the buildings around.

"If this isn't gonna get a northern reaction, I don't know what will!" Talking quietly, Amber asks me a question.

"What do they mean by the northern response?" Trying to get away from all the crowds, I reply "Simple the northern response is you. Or the people that live north of the river. Simply those that are not part of the slums."

"Watch out!" Hearing people yell I see a part of the apartment building collapse. "I bet 1 000 Aquars that that woman is gonna be poking her nose around here tomorrow."

"What?" Forgetting that Edward is not here, I apologize to Amber.

Hearing people scream, I see Edward fly into a nearby building. "EDWARD! HIDE IN THE CROWD!" Not hearing me over all the people, Charge a nearby volunteer holding a megaphone.

"Hey, what are-" Jabbing my cane into his stomach, he let go of the megaphone. Turning it all the way up, I yell.

["BLONDIE! HIDE IN THE CROWD!"]

Blasting the ears of everyone nearby, he looks in my direction and jumps into the crowd.

Even though Gunter is a Crime boss he can't afford the attack so many people, if everyone here would be to get injured the Northerners wouldn't be able to sweep it under the rug.

"EDWARD! Don't hide!" Hearing Gunter yell. I start to get out of the crowds into a nearby alley. Starting to run away, I feel Amber pull my hand.

"What about Edward?!" Telling her that's fine and we have a place to meet up when something like this happens. She asks me about the people.

"Well, if it becomes a huge thing, they will be taken care of, if not, it's up to me to clean this mess back up." Entering a street, we run into some volunteers. Amber preemptively looks like she wants to run away, but I stop her.

Letting the volunteers run past us, Amber asks. "How did you know that they're not after us?" Walking further away from the chaos, I say. "Simple, they have too much on their hands, not to mention that most of them don't even know what we look like."

Running through the streets far and wide, I start climbing up a fire ladder.

"Why are we going on a rooftop again, we don't have that much time left!" Hearing Amber complains, I nod my head. "You're right, a lot of time has passed since we arrived in the city, but we still need to regroup with Edward if we want to travel faster."

Agreeing with what Raven says, she remembers Edward's neck-breaking speed.

"You're right but how will Edward know that we're here?"

Halfway up the building, I reply. "Simple, this is the second tallest building you can see from the station. The second tallest building from where we split off is the regrouping point."

Hearing a small squeak, I turn around only to find Amber missing. Looking into the distance, I can see a bird-like thing carrying Amber.

"Oh, you got to be fucking with me."
