I'm Not Alexander

After some moments later, they left me alone and seemed to be gone forever. Firstly, the young man had left after receiving a phone call, then followed by the doctor.

None came back for that long moment I laid inert on the bed, screaming aloud to whosoever could hear me to come get me up from this fucking bed. But after then, I remained silent, thinking that I should save the little energy inside my soul for this weak body recovery.

Then, at night. I didn't know the exact time, but guessing from the view of darkness through the glazed wall, I had guessed it was around 8 to 9, only then I heard the sound of the creaking door again and heavy footsteps, stepping into the room.

When I cast a fleeting glance at the direction of the footsteps from the left corner of my eyes, I glimpsed a slim girl with straight blonde and a squab elder woman whom seemed to be around her early forties, appearing sleek and posh in those fascinating outfit, going abreast of themselves as they strut towards my direction.

"Alexandra you are awake,"

The teenage girl plunged at me eagerly as she fitfully grabbed my body roughly by my arms and hugged me glacially, that I felt pains around the angle she held my arms. Afterwards, she let my body drop back as I fell flat again like a paper.

"My goodness. I'm so grateful to God for bringing you back to life. Who knew what would have befallen our family without you, Alex." The elder woman said as if she wanted to sob. Standing at a very close length to the bed I laid, glaring down at me as she drew the young teenager closer to her side.

Although I have no idea of who they were, my hunch tells me that they weren't good humans, like the gentleman that was with me previously.

I began to think that they were actresses who had lost their way and mistook my room for their video shooting. Because I was so quick to sense evil, since I'm evil and the smell coming from their direction smelt so strong that my nose began to swell.

Moreover, I already got irritated by their deceptive manners and the teenage arrogant girl was the most getting on my nerves.

"Mom. Why is Alexandra glaring at me like that? Is she angry with me again, just because I heard a visit? Have I done anything wrong again?" The teenage girl said to her mother as she wore a pitiful expression, as if I had unfairly treated her, while I'm the one unjustly treated here.

It made me explode in anger as I clench my fist and begin to struggle with my borrowed body to rise from the bed where I laid hapless.

"I'm going to kill you and feed your body to hungry lions if I ever get up from here! You slut! I going to fuck you up!!!"

I yelled out menacingly outraged, glaring my eyeballs out at them as I saw great affrightness and shock in the eyes of the teenage girl that quickly fell in her mother's embrace, having witnessed the seething display of my outrage.

She began to sob, "Mom, Alexander had turned into a monster. Let's get out of here."

"It's okay darling, I wouldn't let her come close to you nor feed your body to any beast. Let me handle this."

The elder woman said, calming her frightened daughter as she rolled her eyes in my direction, giving me an icy look that even got me severely angered the more, and this time I forcefully rose from the bed and haplessly landed back on the bed with a great flop, due to loss of strength.

In just a bit, the elderly woman hurled me up with one of her big hand and gave me a heavy smack across my face that might have left the mark of her palm on my face, judging from the way it felt so painful as if she had vexed all her anger with just one slap.

The elderly woman was lucky enough that I was in this weak human body that had completely drained my inner energy. If not, she would have seen death even before raising her hand to hit me again.

But, what could I have done in this hapless state. Nothing. I did absolutely nothing and let her hit me twice.

By then, my eyes began to water, my head began to spin again, my body getting terribly weaker that it seemed I was likely to pass out at any moment.

However, as she was about to hit me again for the third time, I heard the sound of the creaking door again and gentle footsteps from a distant angle at the door.

Instantly, she switched character and started shedding crocodile tears that even made me numb with shock. I couldn't stop gaping at her as she caressed my arms, peering into my face, concerned.

"Alex what's gotten into you? Why would you call your sister a harlot? This isn't you Alex. Come back to your senses." She said loudly as she jogged me slightly.

Then, the figure of a human stood in front of us.

"Mom," A familiar masculine voice said to the elderly woman as she withdrew from me and rushed to the voice.

I laid hapless on the bed again, this time my vision fading gradually as I squinted in their direction from the left corner of my eye.

"What's happened to Alex? What did the doctor say? Is she really going insane?"

"Mom, Alexandra is not insane. She had loss of memory, due to the trauma from the accident that affected her brain. Even now, she doesn't recognise you or anyone else. So it's the aftermath of the fatal accident."

"The doctor said that we can take her home now. But, Alexandra needs some time to rest and recover. It's up to us to do our best and help her remember those memories," The young man explained calmly and deliberately to the two miscreants that seemed to be somewhat frowning.

Indeed, I didn't recognise any of them, due to the fact it's not my body. And I'm not their Alexandra anyway. So I have no memories of the body owner, who had long since perished after the accident.

Then I began to have a second thought as I was in pain if it was actually the wrong body I've chosen? I never imagined to dwell in the body of someone they maltreated this way.

'No wonder the young girl jumped into the driveway and killed herself. Was it because of her stupid family?'

The bewildering questions were too many in my head that they were only contributing more headache that made me freaking in pain.

Although, this is not the life I had planned to live nor had prepared for such outrageous drama of these miscreant humans. But, I was always prepared to make humans suffer, especially when they displayed enormity. It was quite easier to deal with them without looking back in compunction.

Moreover, I was still recovering and will teach them a good lesson when I regain my power.

'And yes, my power.' A thought suddenly struck my mind as I recollected something I've missed out that kept messing up my phenomenal existence.

Initially, by now I'm supposed to have regained my power, approximately, after 5 hours, but yet I was getting even weaker for the past 7 hours now.

I knew something was wrong somewhere, apart from the weak body of a teenager I possessed, I was no longer putting on my scarlet necklace. The necklace that gave me superpowers and replenished my soul with great energy.

It's gone. I wasn't putting it on, probably that was the reason for my sudden weakness.

As I also recalled that I was supposed to give the teenage girl the necklace, shortly before I possessed her body, in order to enable me to come in possession of it the moment I shift my soul into her mortal body. But, it was unfortunate it might have fallen off on the pinnacle where my former borrowed body burned off in ashes.

That tower was where I left it. I'm certain and need to retrieve it back if I don't want to become as weak as this body I dwelled.

I can't even Imagine what my life would be, if I remained hapless like this?

After a short while of their conversation, the young man came over to me and carry's me up in his arms as I locked my arms around his neck, holding on tight not to fall, already feeling drowsy I think.

"Don't worry Alexander. You'll be fine when we get home." He said to me as he walked out of their sight, heading to the door.

"Home?" I mumbled indistinctly to myself as the word kept resonating in my mind when I gave it a second thought.

The word "home" I was thinking of was a different home actually -- my home precisely.

For a thousand of years now, my soul had been restless trying to sate my satisfaction of watching human suffering and worshipping me, which I knew would never make me

satisfied.

My home is not on Earth, neither was outside the planet. It was a place where life and death shared boundaries of light and darkness.

These were my thoughts as I fell into a kip inside the car, next to him.

About moments later or more, I was awoken by his hush voice, they kept resounding in my ears more loudly than whispering. And then, when I opened my eyes and lifted my head slightly from his neck, I realised that I was so close to his face as we exchanged breathe. His breath smelled of the cold scent of cigarettes.

"Huh?" I exclaimed in my small voice as I had difficulty in opening my eyes wide to look at him properly.

"We're home," He said in that same enthralling hush voice that brought back my consciousness of ludicrousness, while looking into his glistening eyes, even in that state.

Then, he caresses my face with one hand and the other, firmly on my back. At that time, we were still inside the car in the back seat.

Hope you guys enjoy my chapter. I'll also be glad to know what you think about the novel.
