A Day Of My Arrest

In a situation like this, in a humane sense, I was supposed to forgive someone as filthy as him, after he apologised. And just hurt him badly somewhere on his body and left him alive…

'So he could go scot-free and do the worst!'

The thought resonated loudly in my mind, overshadowing my humane sense as I hardened my glare on him, my grip tightened against the railing and my lips compressed in great fury.

'But, I don't know why I just can't.'

Suddenly, I straight thrust the weapon at him as it pierced through his head and came out from the back of his head as an uncontrollable outburst of blood gushed out of the trauma. That instant his motionless body landed with a great flop to the ground as the place was gory in a pool of his blood.

Also, I rubbed off the bloodstain particles that were splashed all over my face, roughly with my arm and turned my back on him and left.

Hours later, I stopped by a laundry shop and got my uniform cleaned up, after convincing the laundryman that I hurt my shoulder.

Actually, it wasn't a lie. I truly hurt my shoulder when I bumped into a car on my way to the laundry shop. Luckily, only my shoulder was hurt, nothing serious.

It's took long hours before my uniform was brought back to me spick-and-span as I change back into it and left home.

When I got home, it's was already late at night, the moment I walked inside the living room and spotted an unexpected guest, seated at the sofa with my fake stepmother, seated at the right side, discussing gently with a familiar man, I sharply recognised to be the detective from days ago, at the rooftop.

My heart skipped a little bit when I saw him there. I wanted to turn back, but just then, they noticed me.

"Alexandra, you are back!" My fake stepmother exclaimed, as if in agitations as she quickly got up to me.

"What took you so long? Where are you coming from?" She whispered as if she didn't want him to hear what she was telling me.

Meanwhile, I instantly knew why he was here and was getting a little bit nervous.

She went on, her voice getting smaller as she pinched my arm, "Is it true that you are the Assassin named Heart, that had murder so many politicians?"

I didn't answer her questions. Peeping at the detective that was gazing at us with those cold eyes of a wolf.

He abruptly got up and came over, directly to me as my stepmother moved aside.

Almost before I knew it, he pulled out a hamper and grabbed my two hands and handcuffed them.

I froze, muscles locked in a momentary paralysis, eyes wide with astonishment, surprise momentarily rendering me immobile.

"Ms Alexandra. You're under arrest as a suspect of the assassin, named Heart and is thereby requested for some interrogation," He said in a husky voice that kept reverberating in my ears as he pushed me along by my arms in incivility.

As we walked past my fake stepmother, I turned to see if she would inhibit him from taking me away, but when I slightly turned my head and glimpse her.

She wore a very big smile on her face, which transformed into a smirk when she melted my eyes.

Then, he forced me back to face front as we walked out of the door.

When we get outside the gate of the mansion. The cops car was suddenly all over the place, like they had come to arrest a full grown mature adult that had committed an unforgivable offence.

But, it was only a young harmless teenager that was in highschool uniform, being treated like a hardened criminal.

'What kind of rubbish prejudice is this?'

Indeed, I was scared. I became scared when they put me inside one of their cars and drove off. I was scared because I knew no one would come for a nobody like me. But, soon after, the car almost arrived at the police station.

However, I became calm and rest assured that this is not the end of it all. I would come back and make life better for myself. Only then, I'll decide what to do with the rest of my enemies. A few moments later, when I came down from their car, facing the police station. I smiled.

Meanwhile, the Detective asked the cops in blue to take me inside the interrogation room, while I had no idea of when he went. I stayed in the empty room for over half an hour, before he came inside the silent room, with his booklet.

The instant he came, I glanced at him, looking innocent and quickly averted my eyes, the moment he came closer to the desk and pulled up a chair and sat vis-a-vis me.

Before he began, he gave me an icy look that I avoided the instant I melted those maligning eyes.

"Long time no see, wild cat."

When he spoke, in his tone I also noticed a trace of detestation. I didn't say anything, lowered my eyes somewhere, blinking when I melted his eyes again.

"On the night of Tuesday, February 25, the same night of the murder of the senate governor. I saw you coming out from his room and just then he was found dead, stabbed on his chest twice and his heart ripped off. You killed him right?" He implied quite dignified in tone and both in expression.

On the contrary, It's my first time being interrogated. In fact, inside the building of a police station. And being interrogated by this ferocious kind of detective.

Didn't they say that the police are good friends? There's no atom of friends whatsoever. His wildness and attractive appearance doesn't suit the title of a cop. I would have liked him if he wasn't a detective. I like handsome men, moreover in his case it's different now. I loathe ferocious men that are incapable of bestirred romance…

"Are you deaf!" He roared, when he pounded the table with his fist, that startled me as I directed my attention back to him again.

"You killed him, just admit it already! Do you want to be tortured?" He didn't stop yelling as it seems he was likely to torture me if I refused to speak.

Then, a thought struck me…

'Play dumb. You aren't the assassin (Heart) And you we never are. You're the poor, innocent Alexandra and no one would make you accept to be someone else.' I said to myself in my mind as my eyes brightened up with passion for acting.

And my next action, jolted him. I started to sob loudly, as if he had hurt me already, that the tears welled much in my eyes.

"I don't know what you're talking about. I don't know who is Heart of whatever_" I cried.

He was silent for a while. And abruptly rose up and bent closer to me, his two hands firm on the table.

"For the last time I'll ask you and if you don't answer my question properly. I promise you I'll make them torture you like an adult, more than what you appears to be. And it would be so painful than what you did to me," He said, pointing to the scar on his lower neck, as his voice was getting menacing.

Instantly, my eyes followed his finger, as I spotted the fresh scar of a knife-cut on his lower neck. Then, it returned back to his scowling face.

Same moment, the door opened, as our gaze automatically shifted to the direction of the door. To a cop who rushed into the interrogation. Sharply, the detective withdrew from me to the cop.

"Sir, the Chairman is coming with the deputy officer to stop the interrogation_"

The cop didn't even complete his statement as a man in a specific advanced cops uniform, who seems to be the deputy police officer, stepped in, making way for the person I assume to be the Chairman and it was…

The Chairman halted at the distance of the door and turned to face the deputy officer, "Who accumulated this nonsense here?" He asked the deputy officer, in an authoritative tone.

"I'm sorry sir. I wasn't aware that it was your younger sister, he was arrested as the infamous Assassin_" He tried to explain calmly, but the Chairman walked passed him over to us.

"Take off the cuff," He ordered the detective.

"I'm not done interrogating her. She was caught making off the tower to the top, at the night, the senate President was_"

"Do you have evidence?" He interjected.

"Not yet, but_"

"Owen, take off the handcuff, right now!" The deputy officer roared at him from behind.

He was hesitating but had no choice than to take off the handcuffs on my hands, when the upper authority was all on his neck, including his boss.

When he was taking off the cuff from my hands, he whispered to me, "I'll make sure you pay for everything you've done with your life. I promise you," He took off the cuff as I slowly stood up on my feet trembling.

This was the crucial part where I mostly do the acting, since someone was finally here for me.

By then, my eyes had turned red, after crying too much, and I was looking depressed and pathetic. I hope it was enough to make anyone who saw me, pity me.

The young man walked closer to me as I plunged at him acting trepid, hugging him tightly.

"It's okay. I'm here," He said, rubbing his hand on my back.

Just that moment, I increased more intensity in sobbing as I tilted my head facing the direction of the cop, glaring at me with his dark eyes.

When I glared back at him, the corner of my lips curved one side. And I briefly watched him grow in anger, as he clenched his fist tightly.

Then suddenly, the young man pulled abruptly and held my hands.

"You must be stressed out by now. Let's go home. Everyone at home is worried, they are waiting for you."

I wanted to ask him who specifically, because the woman I saw smiling a while ago when they took me away, didn't seem like one who would be happy to see me.

I held it in, out of curiosity, because it's futile anyway.

As we were about to leave, at the door, the Chairman paused momentarily, and half turned to the deputy officer, still holding my hand.

"I'm letting this slide because she was unharmed. The next time this kind of nonsense repeats itself. I will sue this police station and make sure everyone of you behind it, rut in jail," He threatened as we left them inside.

Then, I began to hear the bellowing of the Deputy officer's voice, reprimanding the detective from the hallway distant and later on it gradually receded, the instant we came out of the hallway.
