There was no reason or rhyme as to why this was happening to Beatrix Sprin.
Perhaps she should have been far more wary with the assistance provided by Iris Borough and Walter–nothing good would have come from investigating unknown danger.
However, Beatrix merely thought that she'd get more out of accepting the deal than not to.
She scoffed inwardly at herself.
Beatrix didn't think that she'd be affected by greed, but the results say otherwise and now her mind was melted honey. Loose and easy to pry from.
It was only the wrong questions of Cassius that was preventing her from revealing the names, but then even thinking of other things was already hard.
