REUNITE- II

06:00 A. M morning

Cold air breeze through the outskirt of the city.

Old or young men were in the park, either talking to each other or exercising.

The fowl were dancing in the sky. It was the same old morning, but it was pleasant, unlike any other day.

"ahh~~" Elaine, who just woke up, stretched out her body.

The dream she had can consider as her best dream ever since her accident 12 years ago.

Elaine had little recollection of her memory. Whenever she tried, she could retrieve none of the memory.

Just a fragment of memory has appeared for her. It was a thin and healthy boy, probably her age, but she felt very relaxed whenever she looked at him.

So, whenever she has free time, she collects information about him from various sources but with no result in her hand.

But these dreams were like a fairy tale to her. She would see her adult version of him, who shielded her from many dangers.

Just when she thought about it, she felt delighted. But when she looked at the paper on the desk, her mood turns sour.

Then she remembered the dispute last night and felt depressed.

Elaine gave it some thought and could not choose what options were available. She got out of bed and started walking to the practice field.

"The best way to cure depression is to train and play with pets."

She went to her gym, played music, put a headset on her ear, and ran on the treadmill.

Much to surprise, she gradually forgot about it. The more exercises she does, the more she enjoys.

It was good until she received a text from Michelle, which remind her about the program.

Just a message ruined her hard work.

"Elaine, have you already decided?"

She tries to step on the treadmill again, but she couldn't able to forget it.

The accumulated anxiety in her body caused her to lose interest in a workout. I wasted the work she did for half an hour.

Elaine was anxious, and depression was all over her face. The pressure to see her people's well-being includes the child from the orphanage or her self-esteem.

If it was any other program, she could not have a problem, but she has lived with the opposite sex from the program a day.

Her motto was as clear as crystal: never do a half-hearted job.

So, if she takes, she would do her best. But her reason for not accepting was simple. Her ego would not let any man except one she acknowledges.

She has a straightforward personality, which she was famous for and envy.

Elaine was not a loose woman nor hated men to the core, but she can't compromise her self-esteem.

She was also a very soft-hearted girl. She can't bear to see a child being hungry, nor can she see people dying when she can help.

Because Michelle gave her weeks to think, she also risks her job. So, if she turns down the contract, she would also lose her job.

She couldn't resolve to accept it, though, at some point, she was already thinking about taking the offer and not considering her self-esteem for them.

She has lost all her hope in it. Just when she unlocked her phone and gave her answer to Michelle.

She got a phone call from an old grandpa, whom she met six years ago while walking in the nearby park.

"Good morning, little flower. We would like you to take part in our annual sports events. It won't take much time. If you are busy, then you can refuse it,"

Old grandpa asked her excitedly.

Elaine is currently in a depression, but she couldn't say no to the previous generation. Then she swiftly removed her sadness and replied with joy.

"Grandpa, I'm not busy. Of course, I surely try to take part in the events."

The words of her made him very pleased and still went on.

"It's good to hear that. We need young people to take part. Our region doesn't have many children that we know, so we called you."

She could hear the competitive sound through the tone of grandfather's words.

Her competitiveness and excitement decreased after she requested time and day.

"Grandfather, when is the time and the day," she said.

The old grandfather got surprised and found out that he had forgotten the time.

"How forgetful of me!" he said jokingly.

"I think it was 8 to 10 A.M. I hope you can make it to the same place."

After which, he ended the call.

Elaine's circumstances were now so tense and irritating, as they are now. The stress she was going through was hard for her to maintain.

Sports were like some relief to forget about depression, so instead of staying in the home in hollows. It was better to go outside to play.

She went as soon as possible. She quickly got up and walked away to take a shower.

It was morning 06:50 A.M., so she took a quick shower. She didn't need to waste time on makeup. Unlike many girls, her skin doesn't need much makeup. Just a simple makeover has been enough for her.

She picked simple sportswear, swiftly jumped off the balcony, and promptly jumped off the fence and sped up her leg to reach the venue.

The top speed that she can run can get her an Olympic gold medal. So, she continued to increase her speed. Soon she reached the park in around 10 minutes.

She got excited while running, so she once again sped up her speed, and just about to turn right, she crashed into a person.

Because of her speed, she was on top of him. Her eyes were closed, but she could feel her lips were touching something similar.

Then she quickly opened her eyes and saw her lip-lock with another.

Then she got up from the body she got crashed.

Her face got red, but she didn't feel disgusted by seeing his face. Also, it was her fault, but before she got up and apologised to him.

The boy got up and, with a sweet smile, offered his hand to help her get up.

Elaine unconsciously took her. Before she could know what happened, she was talking to him.

"Pretty lady, my name is Sebastian, and if you don't mind, can you give your name?" Sebastian asked her with utmost sincerity.

His gaze on her felt as if he knew her, but she couldn't recall any man she encountered.

Seeing Elaine didn't respond, Sebastian voiced out at her again.

"Earth to the pretty lady!"

it woke up Elaine from her daydream

"Where was I?"

The humorous tone of her made him laugh.

"Haha, pretty lady, I thought you were ignoring me. But it was good to see you didn't ignore me."

His laugh at her made her embarrassed, and her face was red. She was out of her character unknowingly.

"Don't laugh," and then she humped at him.

"Ok, ok, sorry about that. I thought you were pretty cute,"

Sebastian complimented her and asked her name

"Pretty lady, can this poor guy may know fairy name."

The way he asks her name dumbfounded Elaine. He had just met her, but it didn't feel like he was a stranger.

He made her laugh at the first meeting. It made her curious about him, but looking at his puppy face made her laugh.

"ha-ha, you are funny. Ok, this lady will give you the privilege to know her name."

She then lowered her head and greeted him.

"I am Elaine, and I am sorry for that,"

Then she tried to change her demeanour but seeing his face. She couldn't change it under any circumstances. She only said in her cute tone.

No matter what, she can't forget that kiss. She felt like she longs for that.

"It's ok. I think you were in a rush. I was on my way to an annual grandpa's event,"

Sebastian said understandingly.

"Pretty angel, I surely thank you for giving me this privilege."

"For the way you were going. I think you were on the same road as me,". after a thought, Elaine said and then moved forward,

"Let's go together. We may be late, my…." Elaine couldn't complete her word as she realised her word choice.

Confused about herself, and did not understand why she felt familiar with the man she just met.

She just shrugged off, thinking that last night made her crazy.

"Maybe because of last night and thought of other decisions, I have gone crazy, otherwise why would she be almost absurd."

She fell into deep thought again and startled again

"Elaine, are you ok? You seem to fall in deep,"

Sebastian said carpingly and showed his worried face.

"You seem into a problem; I would gladly listen to your problem."

The next word of Elaine's made both of them speechless.

"Husband, it's just an insignificant problem, I can…".

Elaine realised her word choice and quickly corrected it.

"No, I meant to say something, ugh" seeing the smug face of Sebastian, she couldn't help but dig a hole and stay there. But too bad, she can't do it.

Sebastian slightly teased her, "it's ok, everyone makes mistakes, dear Wifey", and then ran forward to her and kissed her cheek and ran.

His teasing affected her and chased him. Though she may realise, she seems to forget about the pressure she will face later.
