“Is the crib ready?”
“Yes, caro. It’s going to be fine. We’re going to be good parents. The nurse here will help dress her and we won’t keep the air conditioning on full chill. I’ll keep it at seventy-five. That should be comfortable for her to be lightly dressed.”
Carlo picked up the little yellow cotton dress with daisies for pockets and matching sunbonnet that Mark purchased, along with a matching diaper cover, white satin shoes and lacey socks. “Do you have the camera?” Carlo asked Jack.
“Yes I remembered to bring both the camera and we have the cameras in our phones.”
“Okay, here is Dr. Baumgartner, it’s show time.” Carlo laughed.
“Good morning, Jack, Carlo. Did the nurses give you instructions?”
“Yes, we’ve both read them and Hannah also has them. We’ll make an appointment with your office to bring the baby in for a visit on the Friday after next.”
“I think I told you that my office is across the street from the hospital.”
