Emmy's Beasts Children

In the dark, under a strange-looking tree, a lady around twenty-something could be seen clenching her stomach and looking pitiful. She seemed to be in pain and was breathing heavily. Above her in the sky, the color was very black and blurry. Rain started falling, and the thunder was clapping loudly and violently. The wind was very thick, slapping everything harshly. The lady stood with the support of the tree, using one hand to prop herself against the tree and the other hand to hold her stomach tightly. She breathed out and continued moving weakly. "Seems like I'm not going to escape this. What type of poison is this?" she wondered. She unbuckled her belt to relieve some pain, then sat down somewhere and groaned while her hand wandered around on the wet ground until it made contact with something. She picked it up and saw the object with the help of the lightning. The thing was round like a bead, and something joined them together. She did not care about what it was and just swallowed it. She was going to die anyway, at least she ate something. She could not figure out the taste of the thing, but it was surely not normal because as soon as it made contact with her throat, it felt very hot, as if she had drunk hot water that had not cooled. "Sh*t! Even in death, my luck is still very bad," she muttered. She was still lamenting when her aching stomach suddenly stopped aching. She did not have the chance to rejoice when her stomach started swelling up, getting bigger and bigger. It was as if it wanted to burst but, alas, it didn't. She could feel herself in labor. She groaned until something escaped her body - 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. She was relieved from both the poison pain and her swollen stomach pain. When she looked at what she had given birth to, she was shocked. Eggs. She had given birth to eggs. And there were six. What happened to the eggs? The next day, in a big mansion, the sound of things scattering and a woman's agonized scream could be heard. "I told you not to let her escape! I told you to lock her up! See what you've caused... the money has arrived, and where will I find a girl to present?" Sam's angry roar vibrated throughout the house.

On the cold floor lay a woman, beaten beyond recognition, tears streaming down her cheek as she stammered, "Sam... Sam... calm down... there must be another way." Before she could finish her statement, a thunderous slap landed on her swollen cheek. Her vision blurred for a moment before she heard Sam's voice.

"Another what?! Another what?!" Sam roared. "I only have a day to deliver Emmy to him. I'll lose my money if I fail to deliver her to him." He shouted angrily.

The woman, desperate, exclaimed, "You have a daughter, right? Let her replace Emmy!"

"What did you say?!". Sam shouted and grab the woman neck . "You dare to raise your voice at me!". Sam's grip on her neck tightened. "You crazy woman! I've already shown him Emmy's picture. Do you want me to make a fool of myself in front of him? by sending him another lady? Besides, my daughter is too precious to replace your stinky daughter!"

The woman struggle to break free but she was powerless. Just as the woman was about to give up, the doorbell rang.

Sam released his grip on her neck and ordered her to open the door.

The woman, still coughing, adjusted herself and made her way to the entrance. Her eyes widened when she saw Emmy leaning against the door pillar, playing with her red-colored nails.

Emmy raised an eyebrow at the sight of the woman, almost laughing at her appearance. She was really beaten beyond recognition and her face was full of bruises with clear blue - black spots all over the bruises. "Your husband seems to be taking good care of you, and here I am, worrying about you." She smiled mockingly.

The woman, aware of Emmy's sarcasm, took a deep breath and asked, "What are you doing here?" Before she could finish her statement, she caught sight of Sam and quickly changed her expression, dragging Emmy in. "Husband! Husband! She's here; no need to worry again."

Sam's ugly expression turned lively as he gazed at Emmy. "Dear daughter, you're finally back. Your father is very worried about you." He spoke affectionately, but Emmy looked at him with disgust.

"I remember my father died a week before mother married you. Are you his ghost?" She smiled mockingly.

Sam coughed twice, clearing his throat. "Actually, I've made preparations for you. Someone is interested in you and wants to give you a job. I've already agreed to it, so all you need to do is go upstairs and get dressed, and we'll visit him." He spoke domineeringly, leaving no room for negotiation.

Emmy remained silent for a while. "I'm here for help, but I got sold away. What kind of luck is this?" She thought to herself. "Oh... I see... a job? Not a big deal." She said after a long pause. "Who is this boss that's interested in me?" She asked.

Sam replied, "I don't really know, but he's trustworthy in any way."

Emmy slowly nodded her head, looking at her disfigured mother. "I've been away for days, yet she didn't care about me or my well-being there's no need for me to care as well." She thought to herself, controlling her emotions. "I'm here to lend money." She said, never bothering to ask her how she got injured. "I need 100,000 dollars."

Her mother flew into a rage. "What do you mean?where should I get it from?". She shouted.

You both sold me out without my knowledge, and I only ask for 100,000 dollars, yet you are turning greedy. What is the meaning? Do you believe that I can escape right now, and you'll never see me?." Emmy threatened".

Sam gritted his teeth together, took out a card from his back pocket, and handed it to Emmy. "I swear, if not that the person said he wants a whole perfect you, I wouldn't even bother to please you at all." He thought to himself in anger, feeling heartache for the money he gave Emmy. "I happen to have 100,000 dollars in savings. Feel free to spend it." He said to Emmy in a hoarse voice.

Emmy looked at the card, her grip tightening. "Forget it. I'll take it as part of the money I was sold for." She thought to herself. "I won't say thanks. You guys can continue your chat." She said and left.

You...."emmy's mother was enraged by Emmy comment but before she could scold her, she has already disappeared. She could only sigh, feeling disappointed".

After Emmy left, Sam breathed a sigh of relief and looked at Emmy's mother. "You're lucky this time." He said in a harsh tone. He took a deep breath and apologized, "I'm sorry for my actions earlier. You should know it wasn't intentional."

Emmy's mother's worries disappeared immediately after hearing Sam apologize, and she quickly hugged him. "I know. Just don't behave like this again". She murmur.

Sam frown but didn't shake her away.

....

Emmy went to a cheap hotel and rented two rooms, one for the boys and one for the girls. After settling her children in, she went to buy clothes for them with the remaining money.

Emmy came back earlier with six shopping bags in her hand. As she entered, she saw her children already inside with dull expressions on their faces. She chuckled and said, "Why have you all gathered in one room?"

"We sense your presence, so we wait for you here." Snow answered.

Emmy nodded her head with a lovely smile on her lips.

She sat on the average-sized bed and put down the bags in her hand. "You guys have freshened up?"

They all nodded their heads.

Emmy smiled. "They really know how to do things themselves, not stressing me at all" she thought to herself proudly. "That's good." She praised. "Guess what Mom bought for you all." As she spoke, she passed the bags to each of them. "I personally selected it, and I'm sure it will meet up to your satisfaction." She smiled proudly.
