A knock rang from the door, but the two were far too engulfed with each other to care. A few moments later, it rang out again. Looking at the door, Nick was agitated but considered getting up. Grabbing his face, Jin turned him back to her. "Ignore it, if it's important they'll come back tomorrow."
She was hanging too far over the edge to let something so minor interrupted them. Every couple seconds, a knock would ring throughout the living room. Soon they'd turned to bang on the door rather than knock.
Fuming at the ears, Jin grab a shirt and pulled it on. Swinging the door open in a fit of rage, "What do you want!?" The woman on the other side just smiled. Instead of being intimidated or agitated like the banging on the door suggested, she smiled. Staring at Jin up and down, a slight laugh could be heard.
"Mikey, I was right, she's here." The smile turned evil midsentence. Forcing her way though the door, this woman stood an inch away from Jin's face. "Did you really think you could walk away, princess?" The condescending tone of her voice caused Jin the jolt a few steps backwards. Nick could only show confusion having just pulled his shirt back on.
Seeing Nick coming up behind her, the mystery woman chimed again, "Who's this, new boyfriend? Sweety I promise you'll have way more fun with me. How about you come over here so I can show you?" The flirtatious tone attempted to mask a vague intent to kill.
Feeling that intent, Nick drew Jin behind him and began staring deep into the woman's eyes. Before he could say something, a guy rounded the doorway. Having let himself in Mike stared the two up and down before speaking directly to Nick. "Look buddy, we're not looking for any trouble. She, however, needs to come with us. She took something that belongs to our boss and it's best you don't get mixed up with any of us."
Hearing the accusung words, Jin found her courage. "Mikey, you know that's a load of bullshit. I left, the only thing I took was myself. Not my fault he saw me as a possession. Oh and Abby, best not to underestimate Nicky." The confusion spread to Nick's entire body. He'd no clue who these people were but clearly Jin did. All he could wonder is who it was that she'd pissed off.
Mike took a step forward and attempted to move Nick aside. To his surprise, Nick didn't even budge. His feet remained firmly planted on the floor while his left hand grasped the hand place on his shoulder. With a simple twist, Mike was keeled over in pain.
Not knowing what had just happened, Abby charged Nick. With a simple step to the left, she tripped past him. "Fine, enough playing nice." Enraged, Abby's body began to shift. Expecting Nick to cower at her feet, she growled within an inch of his face.
Throwing Mike out the door, Nick stood before the amber beast. Although it had been a long time since that day, the torn left ear was very familiar to him. She was one of the scouts sent to round up all the stragglers from his home town.
