Sachi Bennion: "What do you think would happen if a member of our tribe were overly jealous of my fate? The unmated males that are coming from the Crimson Lunar tribe, one of my immediate family members has taken a fancy to one of these men who are showing up. I do not know which one, but I was pushed in out of sheer jealousy. My mate may or may not be one of those unmated males that are coming to visit. And to top it off, they laughed when they did the deed."
Adie Bennion: "But that seems a bit childish and ridiculous. I do not understand why any of them would behave in such a way. This I do not understand. I guess I will need to investigate the matter further."
Sachi Bennion: "Well, whether you believe or not is on you father. I did not go in the river on my own."
Adie Bennion: "Maybe it is because I do not want to believe that our own family has such people in it."
Sachi Bennion: "Well if it helps father, I was merely walking the banks like I usually do to clear my head, the next thing I knew, I was pushed from behind. All I heard was one of my female relatives shouting about me going in the water. That is, after they laughed about it, of course, they know about me going in the water, they pushed me in. But because most of us all sound so similar in our voice, I could not pinpoint who it was exactly as my head was half ingulfed in water."
Ceilic Bennion: (A large gasp and astonished look of dread spread upon her face…) "I just cannot believe that someone in this family would do such a thing. But you clearly have no reason to make up such outlandish stories. Not with such an injury for an outcome. I do not know of anyone who would want that kind of pain to pull a farce."
Sachi Bennion: "You are correct mother. I have no reason to lie about how I came to be in the water. I have walked that riverbank many years now, I know all its paths well, why I would simply fall in like an idiot is unheard of for me. I could walk those paths in my sleep, I know them that well. I just know that jealousy has no bounds when it comes to certain aspects. I have seen it many times, and it is a far more destructive force than anything in nature."
Her father's confused face went stern almost instantly at her words. They made perfect sense for she had walked all paths in and around that river for years, there is no way she would mistake any part of it for an unknown reason. Resigning himself to trust in his daughter's words, he was determined to help figure out who was there. It would take one of his best trackers, whose nose never let him down to figure it out. He looked down upon his daughter one last time, softly kissed her forehead, and said he would be back in the morning to see her. For now, he would spend most of the night speaking with the tracker and getting to the bottom of what she had told him.
Sachi and her mother watched as he left out of the room, a determined look upon his face to figure out which family member would be so low as to harm one of their own in blatant disregard for the tribes' rules. And harming an alpha of all people to boot on top of it. Walking through the guards standing in front of the doors, his figure disappeared into the dark. Sachi's mother sighed heavily as she already knew that look and just who he was going after to help him. She picked her daughters hand back up once again as she asked her again how she was feeling. After all, she needed to eat and possibly get in a bath to clean the wounds better.
Ceilic Bennion: "I know you are in a lot of pain right now, but you have to eat something. Some soup at the very least. I have the medicines the doctor made up set off to the side. Did the first batch he put on you help with the pain last time?"
Sachi Bennion: "Yes mother, they helped a lot. Some soup would be nice too."
Ceilic Bennion: "Alright, I will have one of the house servants get some nice potato and chive soup made up for you. I will have them being in some fresh water for you to drink as well."
Sachi Bennion: "Mother, please help me get to the bathroom and then a bath. I want to wash myself clean before anymore medicine gets put on. I can do that while the cooks make the food."
Ceilic Bennion: "Okay. We can get that arranged for you. I will call in some help to assist me in getting you moved about. You have to move a little bit each day anyway till you are better. Keep you from stiffening up too much."
Sachi Bennion: "That will be great mother. Thank you for that."
Ceilic Bennion: "Of course, it should help make you feel clean at least."
With that, her mother let out a yell that had several maids coming in the room in no time at all. Sachi raised her brow at their promptness. She would finally get the chance to see what their home looked like fully. From what she could tell of her part of the room, it was in a side section of the home, almost open you could say. She tried her best and struggled to get herself sat up at the very least. With the help of her mother and two maids, she finally managed to sit up all the way. Taking in a few deep breaths, they all helped hoist her to her feet and allowed her to support herself among their shoulders. She panned her head noticing that there were several torches hanging on the walls. As they began to walk, she entered what appeared to be the center of the building. As her vision panned even more, she noticed two large firepits that seemed to be centrally placed on each end. She made up her mind that once she was a little bit better, she would do a more thorough walk about of the place. At this point, she hurt to damn bad to focus very well. They guided her outside and helped her into the outhouse, she used the restroom and knocked on the door letting them know she was finished. They came back in and helped her back into the house, she could feel the stares of many eyes on her, but she did not raise her head to look around, she wanted to make a convincing performance for anyone possibly watching too intently. They entered the house, her hobbling form disappearing from the sight of the onlookers. Hopefully, the little show made the irritation of certain people show themselves in an obvious manor, making them easier to spot. They started passing by the others already heading in to clean.
More maids had come with fresh bedding as the two she initially called for helped her. Tending to her bedding, they changed it out and cleaned her section of the building while Sachi was being tended to. Carefully carrying her, they took her to the part of the home that had a fairly large screen which separated the nice size tub. The tub was odd looking to her, wooden exterior around a molded piece of metal. It had a high back with a slight slope to it. A sliding rack laid across the end of the tub that held all the bathing items, such as a sponge and some rags. The tub sat upon several bricks to raise it up off the floor, a fairly fancy tub for this time indeed. Two additional maids had just finished filling it with warm water. Large bars of what appeared to be soap were set to the side to keep them from being knocked in the water. Sachi was rather surprised by this, these people had been advanced enough to make what looked like lye soap of some sort. Relief washed over her as she had feared finding this era, she was thrown into may have been without such knowledge. She did not care that there was no scent to it, just the mere fact that she could properly wash alone was enough to make her happy. The two that had helped her to the tub, gently helped her to take of her clothes. With the help of a step stool, she carefully was helped into the tub as she sat down. The warm water felt awfully nice as she leaned back slightly. She winced in minor pain as she had rolled her hips slightly and put pressure on one of the more severe and prominent bruises.
