Awakening

The awakening stones were special minerals wich were used to help students awaken their beastmaster space as well as potentially awaken their innate talents and allow them to start cultivating to become a beastmaster.

"Now then, follow me to the awakening stone, and remember after you've awakened you may go home and start thinking about what beast you plan to attempt taming tomorrow. All of you will receive a list of the available pets given by the school, but remember you only get two chances. Otherwise you'll have to purchase your first beast yourself."

David and the rest of his classmates started following his teacher. David followed closely and had already started thinking about the beast he should chose. This was a very important decision since when taming a pet beast the beast had to accept you as his or her trainer. This could be a very difficult task due to the fact that all beast, especially ones with a higher rank were generally incredibly prideful. It was also very important to note that although you were allowed to bring items to help in the taming process you still only had two chances, and purchasing a beast cub with money was incredibly expensive.

Once they finall reached the awakening hall they were met with a huge chamber that had a gigantic glowing blue stone in the middle.

"Now, put your hand on the awakening stone and try to feel as the arcane power enters your body and opens your beastmaster space."

David and the rest of the students put their hands on the stone and he felt how a warm sensation started coming from the stone and travelling to just below his heart. However as this was happening he suddenly started to hear a voice in his head.

"Awakening in process system interface activation,

12%….37%…..64%….100%."

And just as he heard this he suddenly saw a blue screen form in front of his eyes.

"Wait, did I just awaken a system?" Whilst he was surprised at first he quickly calmed down, after it was pretty common for people who transferred to another body in series to awaken a system.

"But wait, what type of system is it?"

As David was wondering what his system allowed him to do his teachers loud voice once again sounded out.

"Congratulations! All of you have officially started your beastmaster journey. Line up and receive the list of all available beasts and the basic cultivation method. Afterwards go home and start your first cultivation session."

After taking his place in the line he started testing his system to check what it could do.

"So it allows me to make exchanges with energy points but how do I gain them?"

[Energy points are automatically given after host or hosts pet beasts kill opponents.]

"So it answers my questions, that's useful. But what is classified as a opponent?"

[All living beings are opponents.

Note: the more powerful the opponent is the more energy points will be given.]

"Ok, so it's important to kill more powerful beasts if I want to get a lot of points. Does the system do anything else?"

[Congratulations. Due to the host activating the system interface for the first time a newbie package will be given.]

"What newbie packag…."

As he started to ask about the newbie package he reaches the front of the line.

"David Jones! Here is the basic cultivation technique and here is the list of the beast that will be available tomorrow."

"Thank you miss!" David politely answered whilst bowing his head.

After finally receiving the list and cultivating technique, David decided to go home before opening the newbie gift package and checking out the shop. After walking for a few minutes he finally reached the edge of town and entered his small apartment.

"Home sweet home. I can finally check out the gift package."

"Description": the bloodline that exists deep within the shadow death tree, a powerful wood type beast grown from a branch of the world tree.

Cost: 27 million energy points.

[beast core of terra, the god of earth: level X earth element core

"Description": the core that exists inside the god of earth terra. If consumed by a beast will transcend to at least a lesser god, but will never be able to use any other element.

Cost: 1 billion 300 million energy points.]

"Holy sh*t what are these resources, and what are the prices? How could I ever be able to purchase these things with my measly 100 energy points? No, this is good, if things that are this rare are available for purchase then practically anything else should also be available. So now I should check the things that cost less than 1000 energy points to use my coupon on."

"Description": ice that has spent over 1000 years on a frozen mountain. Poses some ice energy. Can help ice attribute beast in their cultivation.

Cost: 700 energy points.

[Flame sparrow core: level III fire element core

"Description": A core that has been extracted from a flame sparrow. Useful for fire element beasts.

Cost: 500 energy points.

[Lizard love oil recipe: the recipe for Lizard love oil, a level III tier A potion

"Description": The recipe for "Lizard love oil" a special potion that when applied to one's body will instantly attract all nerby reptiles and can even cause dragons to never attack without reason for 6 hours.

Cost: 950 energy points.]

"All of these seem pretty useful, but before I chose one I should probably see wich beast I can use these to tame."

David then opened the list of beasts and started checking the information about them to find the best ones the things he could use his coupon for helped in taming.

"Description": A species of wolf that lives in cold areas. They are known for their crystal white fur and loyalty. The current best known evolution path is to evolve them to the elite rank frost wolves and then commander rank frost wolf king.

"Preferences": ice wolves are incredibly fond of ice element resources, especially resources from commonly found on mountains, for example frost grass a class II resource.

"Name": spore snake

"Element": wood

"Species rank": superior

"Species level": the ones available range from awakened level 3 to awakened level 7.

"Species skills": sleep spores, toxic bite.

"Species potential": average potential is yellow tier c.

"Description": A type of snake that lives deep within the jungle. They are famous for their ability to release spores that can have different toxins wich produce many types of dangerous effects. Spore snakes are also known for being afraid of people and must therefore be approached with caution as to not scare them. The curently known best evolution is the top tier elite class beast Spore anaconda.

"Preferences": Spore snakes does not have any specific resources it likes, although like all wood element beast it is fond of things possessing the wood element. They are however famous for choosing 1 singular person that they want to be with and it is therefore recommended to try to tame the youngest one you find in the enclosure.

"Species level": The ones available range from awakened level 1 to awakened level 2.

"Species skills": lesser fire control.

"Species potential": average potential is blue tier d.

"Description": One of the weakest awakened beasts that only has a weak ability to control flames. They have very low intelligence, however it's still very important to build a good relationship to prepare for its evolution. The best evolution path is to evolve it into the high class flaming ant then the superior rank Lava ant and finally the high commander Sun ant.

Ps: the evolutions of the fire ant are very prideful and it is therefore very important to build a good relationship before evolving to ensure that the ant won't break the contract upon its evolution.

"Preferences": They are fond of anything with the fire attribute.

After looking through the best beasts David furrowed his brow and started talking to himself.

"It seems that the best option is to purchase the flame sparrow core and tame the fire ant. It's just a shame that there wasn't any more powerful reptiles since the Lizard love oil seemed to be really useful."

But just as he is about to close the list he suddenly notices something.

"Wait, isn't this even better?"
