Lyra walked past the busy villagers as she headed towards the council home in search of Wendy.
Her discussion with her mother few moments ago, only helped to seal her resolve.
Yes it was true that loss was inevitable and that everyone is prone to losing someone they love, she couldn't accept being in that category.
Though she was not aware of this, but this was one of the reasons why she couldn't make any friends in the village.
She hates to lose!
The basic idea of making friends was to limit yourself to other people's standards, so you don't appear intimidating or overbearing to them.
But Lyra never believed in that; she was not willing to let go of anything that belonged to her for anyone's sake....not even death itself!
As she stepped into the council house, she met little resistance from the council guard, especially because her father was a member of the village special troops.
