CHAPTER 25 - Beast Raid 3
"Attack!"
Peter gave the order — expecting that the staff would dash forward and engage the lizard in an epic battle.
But to his surprise, the staff remained stationary by his side — still emitting it's pulsating glow.
'Huh?'
He began to wonder why the staff had not yet obeyed his command.
Before he could give the order again — a group of words appeared in his view.
{Automatic command no more possible.....skill is required to control the staff}
'What the heck is this?! — can't I command the staff anymore?'
As he engaged in exasperated contemplation, the lizard creature had already closed in — as it lunged it's huge jaws at him.
Peter knew that now was not the time to think but to act — therefore physically grabbing the staff with his hands, he swung it at the incoming jaws of the beast.
~Bam~
Peter was sent flying again from their clash — as he felt his bones shook when he crashed to the floor.
