78 The Meeting
Finally arriving back at the city, Ben made his way back to the mansion where his generals, Hal, Cloey and his family were waiting.
"You're late." his mom said, giving him a glare.
Ben laughed but didn't reply.
Hal came over and handed him some armour. "Put this on."
Art looked at the armour and was surprised by its beauty. I was made from black leather but intricate designs were carved in the leather. There was also gold inlaid in the leather, giving it a royal appeal.
"We worked on it the last few days. We need to properly represent our city and I won't let you wear that ratty old armour." Hal said, pointing at Ben's chest. His armour was worn out in some places.
"Fair enough." Ben said, taking off his old armour and replacing it with the new.
Hal helped him with the strapped and gave him some bracers that matched.
Placing his sword on his back, he checked himself in the mirror and nodded in satisfaction. The armour looked good and though he found the gold a little excessive, he admitted Hal did a good job.
Ben noticed that Hal was dressed in silver armour that made him look like a king while Cloey had on a beautiful white robe that hugged her body. She also had on a tiara that looked like it was made of ice.
They both seemed to take this meeting very serious and dressed for the occasion.
"Deke, did you get dressed up as well?" Ben asked, looking at a shadow in the corner.
Deke emerged from the shadow and Ben was surprised to see that he had on a new black cloak with black leather armour underneath. His greying hair was combed to the side, making him look respectable.
"They even got to you, eh? Hahaha." Ben laughed, adjusting his armour again. "Well everyone seems to be ready, so let's go meet the leaders of the new world."
"Take this seriously, would you!" Katherine chided, slapping the side of his head.
The generals chuckled but soon turned serious again.
"If anything happens, contact us. We will bring the entire army if needed." Lance said, his voice grave.
"I owe those pompous jerks an ass kicking anyway." Colton added.
"I will. Take care of the city while I am gone." Ben said patting Lance's shoulder.
Lance nodded and left the other generals.
Turning to Hal, Cloey and Deke, Ben asked, "Let's go shall we?"
"Yes lets." Hal said, clapping his hands together.
The four of them made their way towards teleportation portal.
"Camelot City, four people." Ben said to the system.
[Request accepted.]
A flash of white light appeared and the four of them all disappeared.
…
A man in a golden robe with a crown was staring out a window. A man in black armour emerged behind him. "The last person is here, your Majesty."
"The last ten leaders of Earth are all gathered… in order to survive we need to form an alliance." he face darkened, "Anyone who threatens our survival needs to be destroyed."
The black armoured man nodded his head but didn't say anything.
"Let's go meet earth's only hope." the golden robed man said.

Arriving at Camelot City, Ben and his entourage were greeted by many soldiers and were guided to a large mansion. They entered a large circular room where a circular table stood, eight people were seated at the table, each with three people behind them.
"Sorry I am late. Traffic." Ben joked badly, taking a seat.
He saw Adam and gave him a nod. Nia behind him gave him a wave, causing Ben to laugh.
"Tch!"
A man with white armour with a cross carved in the chest plate glared at Ben and his crew. Ben ignored him and glanced around at the rest of the people sitting down. What caught his attention was an asian woman wearing a red dress. She had three men behind her, who were wearing azure, black, and white armour.
'Four mythical beasts: Vermillion Bird, White Tiger, Azure Dragon and Black Tortoise.'
Sensing his gaze, the woman in red glanced at him and flashed him a smile.
Soon a man dressed in golden robes entered the room. His dark blonde hair was short and his features were gentle but his green eyes sparkled with intelligence. Ben used his eyes and found out his class.
James Lvl. 91

'Royal Mage?' Ben wondered what that entailed.
"My name is James and I am the ruler of this city. I have invited you here today in hope to form an alliance to strengthen humanity's hope of survival." James spoke with a confidence that made people want to follow and listen to him.
"And you wish to be the leader?" the white armoured man asked.
"We will make decisions as a council." James said.
"I have a problem with a few people on this council." his eyes narrowed on Ben and then to Hal and Chloe.
"Shut the hell up you bible thumper." a man dressed in black spat.
His eyes were red and he had long black hair.

'No wonder they are at odds.' Ben smiled, glad someone said something.

Roberto stayed calm but a hint of murderous intent shot out of his eyes. "This is a council to ensure humanity's survival, not them."
He pointed at Hal and Chloe which caused everyone to shift their gazes to them.
Ben slowly stood up and spoke, "My city accepts anyone who can help us survive. Humans, elves, demons, beasts, and giants, it doesn't matter to me as long as they can help. If that is something that this council can't accept then I have no business being here."
"Blashemphy! They are invaders of our world and should be eradicated." Roberto yelled, slamming his fists against the table.
"You are welcome to try but… I will kill you and your entire city." Ben said coldly, his gold eyes slightly glowing.
Roberto pointed at Ben, "See? He will pick his demons over humans! How can he be apart of this council when he will put them above the needs of us humans?"
The council seemed to listen to him and seemed to be swayed.
"I also have demons in my city. I won't kill them because of a crazy man's opinion." Thomas said, a mocking smile on his face.
"I have beasts in my city. Plus my city is in alliance with Bens." Adam spoke up with his deep voice.
The Chinese woman spoke up, "Our blessings come from beasts."

Almost half the council was on Ben's side so Roberto had an unnatural look on his face.
"The way each of you run your city is of no consequence to the others. We are here to form an alliance, not criticise." James spoke up.
A dark skinned man spoke up, "Can we just get this over with?"

"Good. Now I know that the next wave of attacks with be a bug army. It will be difficult for any of us to defend against them." James said, laying out sheets of paper for everyone to read.
Grabbing the paper, Ben read over the contents before handing it to Deke. It detailed the bugs army and the different kinds of insects.
"How did you get this information?" a Japanese man asked.

"One of my soldiers has a god's blessing that gave him information. Now I am giving it to you to prepare." James said. "We need to prepare our troops and assist each other when the time is needed."
