"Hey, I was only joking! Please, I'm sorry."

Seeing that I was truly angry and about to leave, Roger finally shut up.

"Tell me, why are you here and what is it you want to ask me? You are sure not that nice to treat me to breakfast for no reason." He wasn't that stupid after all.

I nudged Gavin.

Gavin cut to the chase and asked, "Do you know Randy Nubert?"

"Yes. Didn't he die a long time ago?" Roger said indifferently.

"I accepted the case from his parents and we are investigating the truth about his death."

"Are you out of your mind?" Roger suddenly pointed at me and said, "Dara, Don't you know? Randy committed suicide! There's nothing behind this!"

"Why did he commit suicide? Just because of the pressure of the examinations?" I looked at Gavin apologetically. I was the one who wanted him to accept the case in the first place.
