Can't you stay for another night?

Kai Xin frowned at the remark.

She knelt down on one knee in front of her and scolded Quinn,

"Quinn, that is not a nice thing for you to say. How can you say that you hate him?"

Quinn glared at Jack, "Cause I hate him! He tried to strip me!"

Kai Xin pointed out to her, "Jack did not know that you are a girl. You should have told him the truth instead of kicking him below the belt."

The little girl who was used to being pampered by everyone pouted and started to get teary-eyed at being scolded, "B-But, Godpapa..."

Kai Xin patted her head before saying,

"Quinn, Godfather and Godpapa loves you a lot, but that doesn't mean that we can let you go around treating people badly. You need to apologize to Jack."

Quinn stomped her foot and cried, "I don't want to! He was mean to me first!"

"Was he, Quinn?" asked Kai Xin patiently as she held Quinn's tiny face in her palms, "He wanted to cheer you up and you hurt him."

Maybe it was because she knew that she was wrong, that was why despite not wanting to shed a tear, Quinn was unable to control herself.

Uncomfortable with the sight of her crying, Jack and Lyle ran down to console her.

Jack bent down to look at her downcast eyes.

He smiled and said, "It's fine, Quinn. I'm fine! It only hurt a little. Lyle's beating during training is worse than this."

With quivering lips, she sniffled, "I'm sorry...I shouldn't have kicked you for trying to cheer me up and I shouldn't have called you ugly or stupid...or throw things at you...or say that I hate you..."

Jack hugged her and patted her back, "It's fine, really. You don't have to care about the stuff that you broke. Dad can afford it. He's rich!"

Lyle nodded and patted Quinn's head gently, "Jack deserved to be whack every now and then, so don't get too upset with it."

Hearing them trying to console her, Quinn cried even harder as she realized how mean and bratty she was since she arrived.

As he watched his sons comforting Quinn, DX whispered to Kai Xin, "You are quite a strict mum..."

Feeling guilty over her action, she glanced up at him and asked, "Is that a bad thing?"

He hugged her and whispered, "No. Children need to be disciplined. If it wasn't because of my mother, my sons would have turned out to be real little devils."

"You can't discipline them?"

He buried his face at the nape of her neck and kissed it lightly, "I can't bear to..."

Due to the boys' past, DX was unable to punish them whenever they misbehaved.

He felt that the twins, especially Lyle, had received enough punishments to last them a lifetime.

When he saw Lyle's distracted look, Jack turned to the direction he was looking at.

Even Quinn stopped crying long enough to take a look at what was distracting him.

Jack made a face at his father public display of affection towards Kai Xin.

He quickly placed his hand over Quinn's eyes and snapped, "DAD! Don't be gross! He's a man..."

He then frowned and squinted his eyes at Kai Xin, "...or is he a woman as well?"

Quinn pulled Jack's hand away so that she can see what her Godpapa going to do to get out of this.

Kai Xin gulped. She pretended to look at the watch and sighed in an exaggerated manner,

"Look at the time. I have to go home now or I won't be able to wake up early for work tomorrow."

She quickly ran off to the foyer.

DX was reluctant to let her go but he told Old Mo to get the driver ready.

Before he followed after her, he told the maids to get the kids to the pool and to keep an eye on them.

The maids received the hint and they immediately carried the three children who protested greatly all the way to the pool.

"No!!! I want an answer!!!" yelled Jack as he struggled against the maid that was carrying him like a sack.

"I want an answer too!!" yelled Quinn from similar position.

When he caught up to her, DX sighed as he hugged her tightly, "Can't you stay for another night?"

She patted his back, "My mum is probably missing me. I will see you at work tomorrow, President Du."

She chuckled when he showed her his biggest and saddest looking eyes.

Standing on tiptoes she placed her hands on his shoulders and kissed him lightly, "I'll see you soon."

Kai Xin told the driver to drop her off at a nearby McDonald so that she could change out of her male attire and back to her usual clothes.

By the time she arrived home, the sun was already down.

Waving bye at the cab driver, she made her way back into the apartment.

Right before the automatic door closed, she glanced up at the lamppost right outside the door.

The flickering lights on the lamppost gave her an ominous feeling but blaming it on her own sensitivity, she pushed the feeling aside.

However, as the lift went higher and higher, the feeling only got stronger. It felt as if something was waiting for her to come back.

When she arrived at her door, for reasons she cannot explain, she was hesitant to punch in the password.

After taking a deep breath and calling herself an idiot, she was about to punch in the password when someone grabbed her from behind.

"He-" cried Kai Xin before a hand covered her mouth and muffled her voice.
