3. A Smile

Michaella walked back to her study table. There is nothing left in front of her. The computer as well as all the books were on the floor pathetically. Again she smiled wryly. Her gaze was bleary to see that all the things she had always cared for were now messy and damaged from various sides without any residue.

The steps that moved again when her eyes saw a book that was still open on the table. Covered by scattered papers there. Michaella immediately approached to make sure. She held up a magazine that she had left before, and only that remained intact and untouched. Even a photo that was on it.

Michaella smiled look at her. Her heart was crushed right now, but for some reason, she seemed to feel a little better seeing this. She closed the magazine and put it on the nightstand. She was surprised when she saw the nightstand was fine and all its contents were still intact. She checked the nightstand again, but it was the only place that had not been touched. Although sad, Michaella is grateful that at least not all items are touched by irresponsible hands.

That eyes circuating. Even the bed was a mess, though not badly damaged. The bed was intact although all the pillows fell to the floor like all her belongings. Michaela took a deep breath. She stepped back out of the room to take another look at her family members. The corners of her lips met with unstoppable footsteps. Her eyes were focused on the several bodies lying below.

No one wants bad things to happen right? Just like her. The people who always surrounded her with bright smiles and laughter will now be out of sight for good. Michaella would miss that of course. After all, she was the only one left. What a cruel person who has snatched her happiness.

If only a choice could be made, Michaella was willing to become a victim as long as her three loved ones did not accepted this bad luck. If only the previous time could be repeated, Michaella would never leave the house just to buy snacks and become a victim of other family members. Unfortunately, everything has already happened. Michaella could only regret and regret.

Slow but sure. Michaella approached the figure of the head of the household whose body was no longer intact. Tears came back even though she was holding back as hard as she could. The agreement she made earlier was not so easy for her to live up to. The tears still came out with a slashing feeling that was so real. Michaella took a deep breath with her eyes closed. Feeled the pain of this incident.

She opened her eyes again. She gripped her father's fingers intently. "Tell me if you're in pain, Dad. As much as possible I will channel my strength to help you not give up."

Again. Tears continued to seep down uncontrollably. Her sobs began to sound sad and her eyes were trying not to give up trying to hide her tears. "Tell me you guys won't leave me alone like this."

Michaella turned her gaze to her mother. The old woman's face was pale with one eye closed, and the other bloody. She swallowed hard and breathed heavily. "You can't see me anymore, Mom? No problem. I'll be watching you for a while."

Her rambling was like someone lost her mind, but that's what she wanted to convey in her heart. She wasn't used to talking about her grief, even when this happened to them. Michaella must keep showing her smile to the people she loves.

Michaella turned to her sister who was also fast asleep with a pale face and blood kept coming out of her forehead. Michaella also held her sister's fingers which felt very cold. Again, tears fell when she saw the youngest family member in her house who also lost her life today. Her grip tightened without reply, along with tears that kept seeping out.

"Khaila. You know I always complain when you interrupt me when I read a book with your voice. Get up, I will greet you like a princess. Come back and annoy me with all your doings and I'll accept it willingly."

As hard as could to endure, but it hurt even more. Michaella was talking to the dead and there was no way to answer, but she still tried. She hoped for only one answer so she could get out of this harsh reality. She wanted their presence with bright smiles and happy laughter. Not silencing each other with blood coming out of some parts like this.

Michaella screamed hysterically. She moved away from the bodies of the three members of her family with a cry that could not be suppressed. Sobs could be heard throughout the very quiet room. Ignoring the noise felt by others with her broken heart. Michaella couldn't survive alone like this. She really can't.

The body hugged both knees with tears remaining. The stares continued to circulate throughout the room with sobs that couldn't just stop. The pain is so real. Ignoring the previous goal of not crying anymore.

Everything has changed in an instant and there is no turning back in again.

Michaella lowered her tired face to her knees. Huddled languidly with all the thoughts that collided with crying without a sound. Her body was tired to keep trying to understand. Her mind was no longer able to properly digest the bad events that had happened. Her eyes were too heavy to keep crying, but he couldn't stop either. All parts of her body felt dead with all the shadows that approached.

Michaela is tired. She wanted to rest in peace. She wants her wish to come true. She wanted to see her family members again tomorrow to come. She wants to hear the voices of the people she loves for the next time. She wanted all the wishes she said immediately to answer her question.

Michaella ... She fell asleep with all the complaints that cannot be expressed.

The luxurious house with pure white paint slowly dims. The light was no longer the same as it had been a few hours ago. The body lay lifeless in several parts. The fresh blood splattered in various places and slowly condensed. Leading to an unprecedented alienation. Everything changes, when the ruler set foot at the wrong time.

And that… Exactly happened tonight.

The night breeze continued to shake the curtains on the side of the bedroom window that had forgotten to be locked. Go inside with an empty room. For an unbearable time will the sad events of tonight. Bursting deeper and deeper to be able to hug every inanimate object that is scattered here and there. There is only one life that can feel but deliberately does not care.

There will be no more embellished laughter. There will be no more noise. There will be no more deadly lectures for a mother because her two children are fighting over goods. There will be no more advice from a father to realize the mistakes of her two children. There will be no more warm welcomes and hugs when telling happy feelings.

It's all gone tonight. I don't know what else will happen tomorrow. Every second there is always a surprise that can not be imagined before. Hope after good hope is always thrown out long before, whether it will happen or just still a hope. No one knows the fate of the future.

All pure will is the power of the hand that holds full control over it.
