Moving Toward a Better Future

After the movie ended, I wait for a few minutes for Lordgenome and the others to reign in their raging emotions.

Lordgenome is still staring at the black screen with his eyes full of tears, and his harem is huddled together comforting each other while muttering things like, "Princess Nia...", "Boota-kun...", "Lordgenome-sama...", and Guame is loudly sniffing into a napkin.

Seeing them like that, I can't help but smile wryly while thinking, 'After all, even in my previous life I too was moved when I first saw the movie, not to the point of tears, but for sure I was hit in the feels. And that was me, a young man that was just watching it as a form of entertainment. Meanwhile, Guame, Lordgenome, and his harem are directly involved, they are a part of this world shown in the movie.'

After a while, Lordgenome finally recomposes himself, he wipes his face clear and faces me, and with a calm and composed look, he finally asks, "So how do you plan to stop the Anti-Spiral and the Spiral Nemesis? And more important, how much did you change already?"

Hearing Lordgenome's last question, Guame raises his head and exclaims, "That's right! Your presence here could make things change for the worse! I already noticed some differences between the movies and what actually happened in the first movie!!"

I simply smile at his nervous appearance and reply, "Oh nothing much, I was very careful with my action, after all this isn't my first time in such a situation..." and just as Guame starts to relax, I add with a grin, "...I just saved Kamina's life preventing his death in the battle against Thymilph."

Instantly both focus their gaze on me with their eyes open wide in surprise.

Then Guame shouts, "Are you crazy!? Kamina's death was the pushing force behind Simon's rise as a Spiral Warrior! His death pushed the Dai-Gurren Brigade forward! Damn! His spirit, soul, or whatever it was is also the only reason the Dai-Gurren Brigade was able to get out of the extradimensional labyrinth! With him alive that won't be possible anymore!!"

But a frown forms on Lordgenome's face, then he says, "Wait a moment, Guame! Something isn't right. From your, Cytomander, and Viral's reports the one currently leading the Dai-Gurren Brigade is Simon, not Kamina."

Hearing that, Guame calms down and realizes, "That's right! When I faced the Dai-Gurren Brigade, Simon clearly said that his "Aniki is dead." What is going on here?"

I turn back all the cinema's equipment into Spiral Power and explain, "It is simple. While I did save Kamina's life, I tricked everyone else into believing that he died that day. Keeping the "story" more or less intact. At least until Simon's growth reached a certain point."

With my explanation, Lordgenome realizes what I'm talking about, nods, and says, "I see... And if I guessed right, that point was when he faced Guame, as he finally started to truly believe in himself." I smile and add, "Indeed. And a week or so ago I reunited him with the Dai-Gurren Brigade."

After that, I look at Lordgenome and say, "About your first question, my plan at the start was to just lay the foundations so that 7 years later we could be better prepared to deal with the Anti-Spiral and save as many people as possible and as you have seen in the movie, a Spiral Nemesis isn't as lethal as you all thought as both the Super Galaxy Dai-Gurren Brigade and Antispiral were able to survive despite their Super Giga Drill causing something that was very similar to one."

Hearing that, Lordgenome nods then easily catches the hint I left in my words, and narrowing his eyes he asks, "At the start... What changed?"

I scratch my head a little embarrassed and say, "Well, I was feeling kinda uneasy because of some personal issue and got a little careless... so I kinda sparked a Spiral Nemesis a real one..."

I see Lordgenome and Guame's eyes open wide, Guame also started to shake in fright, but I quickly raise my hands to calm them and say, "Calm down, calm down! The universe isn't going to end! The one I cause happened in a different dimension bound to my soul and more important, I was able to stop it!"

Hearing that, Lordgenome rushes toward me and grabs my shoulders, and with a voice full of hope he asks, "Is it true!? You really stopped a Spiral Nemesi!? How!!? Can you do it again!!?"

I look at the anxious Lordgenome and calmly say, "I'll tell you... just not here."

Then I open a portal to my Soulbound Territory and invite Lordgenome, Guame, and Lordgenome's harem inside.

We all appear inside the training area where the signs of the Spiral Nemesis I sparked are still present as the ground is gouged out in a spiral pattern something that Lordgenome notices instantly,

And once there, I explain, "As you can see, this is where I sparked the Spiral Nemesis, luckily I was able to contain it and stop it before it could cause too much damage..."

Lordgenome and the others seem very interested in the surroundings, but soon he stares at me and once again he simply asks, "How?" but this time, he is more calm than before.

I touch my Silver Core Drill and explain, "Well, first, I come from a different Universe, one without Spiral Power. But in its place, there is a similar form of energy called Cosmo, and through my journey to another Universe, I also acquired another form of energy Magic Power... Needless to say that once I arrived in your universe, I also awakened the Spiral Power hidden in my body and that caused quite a bit of problem as they started to clash."

Hearing that, Lordgenome realizes the crux of the matter and says, "Indeed, I don't know about this Cosmo and Magic Power but Spiral Power is a quite overbearing energy... But since you are here it means that you were able to reach a new balance between your energy sources, right?"

I nod and continue my explanation, "Right... The problem was that in my quest to further enhance my capabilities and fix the problem of my multiple energy sources, I decided to test the knowledge originating from a Universe very different from this one or all the others I visited before, a knowledge about a supernatural power called Spin that I thought was very compatible with Spiral Power and tried to apply that foreign knowledge to it then use the enhanced Spiral Power to merge and integrate all my energy sources into one."

Without waiting for their reaction, I continue, "Needless to say, I was somewhat successful in applying the knowledge of the Spin to the Spiral Power enhancing its power and capabilities by a lot as the two were truly compatible, but not enough to succeed into merging the two together, and so merge all my energy sources. Then I decide to further refine and study both the Spin and Spiral Power before trying again."

Then with a shudder, I remember my latest experience, once again realizing how close I was to losing everything, but I take a deep breath, and after steading myself, I tell them the rest of the story, "But like always, not everything goes according to the plan, and I finally find a Gunmen truly compatible with my mini-type Gunmen that I named Cratergann..."

At this point, Lordgenome realizes something and with a progressively agitated tone, he yells, "Don't tell me... You didn't try to use that unstable enchanted Spiral Power with your mini-type Gunmen, didn't you? They aren't only tools used for fighting, traveling, and merging with technology! Their main function is to enhance the control, help channel, and speed up the growth of the Spiral Power of their pilots!! If all of that is applied to an unstable Spiral Power it could easily cause it to go berserk! In the best of cases, the mini-type Gunmen will shut down to prevent that and eject the pilot. But if the pilot's Spiral Power is way too strong it could easily damage or even destroy the mini-type Gunmen and spark a Spiral Nemesis!!!"

With a wry smile on my face, I say, "As expected of someone with as much experience with Spiral Power as you, Lordgenome. You guessed exactly what happened. I foolish tried to do that and as you guess, my Spiral Power went out of control and started a Spiral Nemesis."

Then my Silver Core Drill shines and in its places, the Crateris Cloth appears beside me in its Constellation Form as I continue, "Luckily my most trusted partner came to the rescue. With its help, I was able to urge my Cosmo and Magic Power to stall the out-of-control Spiral Power and slow down the Spiral Nemesis long enough to dare an incredibly risky solution."

At this point, I give a brief summary of the solution, on how we planned to merge the Crateris Cloth with Cratergann granting it the ability to wield Spiral Power in the hope that it would help me in controlling the berserk Spiral Power, then I say, "Well, considering the fact that I'm talking with you guys, it is clear that we were successful. In fact, we were much more than that. Not only I gained back control over Spiral Power, but with the Crateris Cloth's help I was able to further enhance the Spin and completely merge it with the Spiral Power and then merge all my energy sources into a single one that I call Spiral Cosmo..."

And to prove that I raise my hand and generate a pure golden drill with small shining spots within that look just like stars, and with a smile, I add, "... At the same time, I reached a brand new level of awareness regarding Cosmo, Magic Power, Spiral Power, and Spin unexpectedly attaining Godhood..."

At this point, Guame shouts, "Wait! Wait! Wait!! Are you telling us that you are some kind of God!? How!?"

I look at him and ask, "Well, how do you define a God?" making Guame stop and think for a bit, but Lordgenome replies in his place, "A being of immense power worshipped by the mass capable of doing acts that seems to break the normal rules of the universe with little or no consequences..."

Hearing him say that, I nod and say, "And well, I can now stop a Spiral Nemesis by only imposing my will on it, revive the dead, create matter in exchange for energy, manipulate time and space as I desire, control over life and souls, receive the power of faith from the people in another universe that I previously saved and even from this universe, I can hear their prayers and guide them."

At this point, Guame opens his mouth wide and exclaims, "Holy shit!" to which I nod and jokingly say in a totally serious tone, "Yeah, I also think that my droppings can now be considered holy shit." which further stuns Guame that doesn't know what to say and how to act.

Then remembering something, I look back at Lordgenome and say, "Talking about control over life, I'm pretty sure that I can fix Nia's situation with the Anti-Spiral Factor."

Hearing that, Lordgenome realizes it too, and asks in a hopeful tone, "Are you sure?" to which I reply, "Yes, I can easily wipe out the virus that carries the Anti-Spiral Factor, and remodel Nia's body so that it is once again a pure human free of the Anti-Spiral Factor. But I'm sure that such a thing will for sure catch the Anti-Spiral's attention and bring Antispiral and its forces to Earth. And for sure I don't want to fight it there, as it could easily destroy this galaxy."

Then I ask Lordgenome, "By the way, aren't you also able to take care of the Anti-Spiral Factor now that you know that it is implanted into Nia?"

Hearing my question, Lordgenome crosses his arms and with a pondering expression, he says, "Regretfully I can't. Trust me I tried for many years to find a way to get rid of the Anti-Spiral Factor. This is also one of the reasons I founded the Beauty Village. In that village at first, I gathered all the girls that we were able to find that were infected by the virus carrying the Anti-Spiral Factor to study it but I wasn't able to find a way to remove it."

But a frown forms on his face as he continues, "In fact, I wasn't even truly sure if those people truly carried the Anti-Spiral Factor, as it is hidden way too well, the only reason we suspected that they carried the Anti-Spiral Factor is that the symptoms caused by the virus created by the Anti-Spiral are very peculiar and quite unique."

Curious about this peculiar virus I ask, "What are the symptoms of this virus?"

Lordgenome smiles wryly and says, "The first day the victim is infected, the victim is hit by influenza, but the next day it magically disappears and in its place, there is a crippling migraine, but that only for that day, then two days later, the victim is hit by diarrhea, but like before that lasts only one day, and after that, the victim is fine for the next two days, but on the third day the victim starts to have nausea and vomiting, but like before it stops the next day."

Then with a grave expression, Lordgenome continues, "Then the victim is fine... until the fifth day where it is once again hit by the flu, and the cycle restarts, but the time between each step continues to increase, the next migraine will happen on the eighth day, diarrhea on the thirteenth, and nausea and vomiting on the twenty-first day."

Lordgenome notices the surprise on my face and with a smirk he asks, "Started to notice the pattern?"

I nod and reply, "Yes, it is the fucking Fibonacci Sequence, a sequence of numbers in which each number is the sum of the two preceding ones. These numbers are known as the Fibonacci Numbers which are also strongly related to the golden ratio and can be illustrated as a spiral with squares representing the widths of the numbers in the sequence forming what can be called the Golden Spiral, a mathematically endless spiral and the representation of the perfect rotation... What a troll! Antispiral basically doesn't even try to hide it!!"

Hearing that, Lordgenome smiles and nods, then he says, "That's right! But while it is easy to identify the victims of the Anti-Spiral Virus, it can't be confirmed if the Anti-Spiral Factor is truly implanted in their genes as it is hidden too deeply in their genes and I was never able to find even a trace of it, but I always thought that a strong aptitude for Spiral Power is crucial for the implantation and activation of the Anti-Spiral Factor and Nia's situation confirmed my fears..."

Then I and Lordgenome start to bounce ideas and knowledge about the virus, but then the topic of our conversation starts to branch into biology, genetics, programming, computer science, hacking, and many other similar topics, so advanced that sometimes I also have some difficulty in following him, making me realize that Lordgenome is truly a treasure trove of scientific knowledge on the likes that can only be found in the more sci-fi oriented universes.

And as I realize that, I can't help but think, 'It's easy to forget that Lordgenome is truly one of the most knowledgeable and accomplished people in the Omniverse, especially in genetic engineering. He was able to put a human body in biological stasis which he applied to both himself and Guame and created a self-replicating asexual food supply through the various animals that populate this Earth, and humanoid warriors, the Beastmen, who would not emit Spiral Power. He also possesses sufficiently advanced knowledge of biology to grant other beings such as Viral the state of physical immortality and tireless body. Basically, I'm sure that Lordgenome's knowledge about the subject could give Mister Sinister and those like him the hardest hard-on of their lives.'

At the same time, Lordgenome also seems to enjoy our conversation especially when I tell him about the things I have seen in other media, like Star Wars, Star Trek, and Doctor Who, and some of the theories behind them and how they could work.

But just as we are losing ourselves in this exchange of knowledge and ideas, and I feel a familiar sudden uncontrollable urge to do something, I look at Lordgenome straight into his spiral eyes, then I close mine and say with a tone of wonder, "Ah, I see you're a Man of Culture as well..."

Then something happens, as a solemn silence falls on our surroundings, at the same time, I sense something in my Soulbound Territory changing, and as I focus on it, I sense a new Seed of Culture forming right beside the Arifureta one, this Seed of Culture is once again in the shape of a disc, the image printed on this one is a lot simpler than the Arifureta one, but it is equally iconic, this time the image is simply the insignia of the Dai-Gurren Brigade, a flaming red skull with shades in the shape of Kamina's signature glasses.

As soon as the Seed of Culture is fully formed, the solemn air surrounding us disappears, and a surprised Lordgenome asks, "What the hell was that!? And what the hell is it a Man of Culture!?"

Seeing their confusion, I start to explain to them the Battle Across the Omniverse, about the Concept, the other Champions, and the Blessings, then I explain the hidden feature of my blessing, how it connects the universe of the fellow Man or Woman of Culture to my Soulbound Universe, and all the other perks, and the one that interests Lordgenome the most is the fact that the Seed of Culture can also be used as a backup to restore the universe in case of destruction and more important how it can then be used to move the TTGL Universe into my Soulbound Universe once it grows big enough to contain it, granting me full authority over it and its rules.

Hearing that, Lordgenome exclaims in wonder as he realizes the true meaning behind that, "That means that if my universe gets integrated into this dimension of yours you can will the Spiral Nemesis to stop existing in its entirety!?"

I think about it and reply, "Technically yes... but I'm not sure I would do that."

Lordgenome narrows his eyes and asks, "Why?" I look back at him and reply, "Because thanks to my ascension, I realized that the Spiral Nemesis is simply the natural cycle of your universe's life... It is birthed with the Big Bang, grows and evolves with Spiral Power, and dies with the Spiral Nemesis, only to be born again with another Big Bang, but this time it would be bigger and stronger capable of handling even more Spiral Power and so further enhancing the evolution of the people."

Then with a smile, I add, "Moreover, if your universe integrates with my Soulbound Territory, I can easily transfer all the living beings to another place and put them into a stasis long enough to let your Universe to begins anew and then put them back. Hell, I can even speed up the birth of the new Universe so that only an instant will pass for the others, sure there are some problems of logistics but nothing that can't be fixed or resolved..."

Hearing that Lordgenome calms down and says, "If it is truly like that... then maybe you are right. That's truly the best way to face the Spiral Nemesis. But I would prefer to be certain of such things."

Guame then interrupts us and says, "That's all good and well, but we forgot about the main topic here. How should we deal with the Anti-Spiral Tribe and Antispiral itself?"

Lordgenome nods and crosses his arms, then mutters as he thinks deeply about the current situation, "Indeed. Guame is right. Maybe the best way would be to follow the example of the movie and fight them in the lifeless Anti-Spiral Universe. Moreover, we also have to quickly stop the fight with the Dai-Gurren Brigade... No wait... Should we continue like this to draw out more of their hidden power because, at their current power, they stand no chance at all... Also, there is a problem with finding the Anti-Spiral hidden universe. In the movie, we were only able to find it thanks to Nia's... ehm... wedding ring..."

At this point, I interrupt Lordgenome's musing and say, "About that last issue... We just received the perfect solution for it."

Lordgenome looks at me and I can clearly see the metaphorical gears in his head turning behind his gaze, then he exclaims, "The Seed of Culture! Right! You just told us that it connects our universe to this dimension and it allows you to know everything about it. This means that you also know the location of the Anti-Spiral's Universe, right?"

And with a grin on my face, I reply, "Got it right! They can't hide from me now, I can clearly sense the Anti-Spiral's Universe's position!"

Hearing that, a smile forms on both Guame and Lordgenome, then Guame adds, "That's is good and all, but before attacking them, we have to take care of the current problems plaguing our planet. The Dai-Gurren Brigade Rebellion, the Anti-Spiral Factor, and the Damocles' Sword above us in the shape of a moon."

I look at the buff man and small humanoid armadillo and say, "Yes. But I'm pretty sure that both taking care of Cathedral Lazengann and dealing with the virus and the Anti-Spiral Factor will immediately draw the Anti-Spiral's attention and bring Antispiral and his forces here, but it is also true that if we go and attack the Anti-Spiral without dealing with the fake moon and the Anti-Spiral Factor than Earth would be too vulnerable to a counter-attack. So to avoid useless casualties, I think it is better to first take care of the Dai-Gurren Brigade's rebellion, then we can think together of the best way to deal with those problems."

Lordgenome nods and says, "You are right. I also think it is better to focus on the most pressing matter first, the Dai-Gurren Brigade. But I want to let them come and attack us because I feel that their willpower still needs to be sharpened even more and using our forces is the best way to do that, especially since there is also the threat of those other Champions you spoke of. Moreover, I'm sure that they want to stop me, the evil Spiral King from imposing his tyrannical rule upon the human race any longer..."

Then he looks at me and with a grin he says, "In fact, I think it is better that the evil Spiral King dies in the coming Teppelin Battle so that the Spiral Warrior Lordgenome can raise again." making me smile back at him understanding his intentions.

At the same time, as he says that, Lordgenome raises his hand and generated the usual spinning drill, but this time instead of being the usual bright red of the Anti-Spiral Power, the drill formed by Lordgenome is the usual bright green associated with the Spiral Power.

Seeing that, Guame says in a choked voice, "L-Lordgenome... Y-you..." and his voice continues to linger as he is unable to continue his sentence, at the same time, I also notice that tears are once more forming in the corner of his eyes.

Lordgenome smiles back at his partner that followed him for thousands of years, always at his side through joyous and difficult times, and says, "That's right, Guame. After seeing all that, it is impossible for me to continue to lay in that bottomless abyss that I fell such a long time ago, that abyss called despair isn't able to keep me trapped any longer. My soul finally awakened and with it, my will to push through everything to create a better tomorrow for everyone at all costs!"

Then Lordgenome's Spiral Power starts to overflow and a bright green fire lits up on his scalp while his harem cries out in joy, ""Lordgenome-sama..."" while I mutter in a low tone, "It is useless to copy the Disney version of Hades with that flaming mane... He is still bald."
