RIVLARY

Detonator's upper half tried to struggle, but it was pointless. Without arms and legs, plus the broken lower half, the cyborg human, literally, had no fighting chance.

Meanwhile, Batman was looking at Razorburn and Maduvu with amusement, "Bring it on. Poison, explosives, hidden weapons, hallucination agents... Unleash all your arsenal. Show me the great power of Seven Men of Death, because so far, it's been nothing more than utter disappointment."

Both Whip and the two guys didn't want to comply with his ridiculous demands.

"What is this freak..." Whip commented and was interrupted by the guy at her side.

"Don't fall for it, look for an opening and retreat..." Razorburn said as they watched Batman's movements carefully, searching for an opportunity to strike and then escape.

"Well, if you aren't coming, then..." Batman rushed in front of him at a speed and punched his stomach. He did control his strength so as not to kill them since they would become useful pawns after taking over the League. His speed was so fast that Razorburn didn't even notice when his body turned upside down, followed by a piercing pain in his stomach that he blacked out.

Maduvu jumped at Batman's neck, targeting his joints. However, the surprise on his face was beyond measure when he heard a snapping sound before he could touch him, followed by excruciating pain that brought him to his knees. Batman broke his arm before he could stab then kicked the side of his stomach and made him roll over in pain.

Whip took this chance and tried to run away by jumping off the cliff. She must have a parachute or a means to escape, hidden somewhere.

However, Diana threw her lasso and pulled her back. Then she tied Whip up, just before she could escape.

"Looks like all wrapped up," Batman said as he looked at the defeated enemies. He walked over to Whip and asked, "Where are your friends? Hook, Shellcase, and Merlyn?"

"As if I would tell you," Whip struggled within the bond of the indestructible rope. She tried to find a means of release and escape, but she found no success. The lasso glowed with a bright yellow hue as Whip tried to close her mouth.

"Sweetheart, this is the Lasso of Truth," Diana pulled her lasso, forcing the woman to crawl closer to the superheroine. She looked at her in the eye and spoke slowly. "The lasso of truth forces you to tell the truth. So, where are the others? Hook, Shellcase, and Merlyn? It doesn't hurt, but it can get painful if you refuse to answer."

"Hook and Shellcase are with Master. Merlyn isn't here. He went on a secret mission to investigate the Order of St. Dumas," Whip's eyes widened as she couldn't lie or hold back her tongue, even a little bit.

"Wait! Order of St. Duman? Why?" Batman narrowed his eyebrows and asked. "Did they find it?" His eyes narrowed dangerously, "The Suit of Sorrows?"

Whip nodded, and before she could say anything, an explosion broke her silence. It was coming from the top of the mountain.

"Tsk. That woman... Can't she have a bit of patience?" Batman clicked his tongue as he saw Talia on his visor, fighting with the other assassins, a rebellion had finally broken out. "Let's go."

Batman and Diana began to run toward the top. They knocked out Whip and left her on that cliff.

"What's the Suit of Sorrows?" Diana asked, following Batman closely.

"A freaking overpowered ancient armor from the age of the Crusaders. I don't know how strong it is compared to my nanites, but it definitely wouldn't be weak," Batman explained.

"But I'm guessing there's more to it than that, right?" She asked.

"It's said to be possessed by some kind of entity that gives power to its wearer, but in exchange, drives its wearer insane, leading it to a certain, unpleasant death." He explained in detail, his expression serious. "They shouldn't even touch the bloody thing."

"Interesting... Ancient weapon and spirit. Hehe. It would seem the great man of science believes in the world of magic too," Diana's lips rose slightly, looking forward to the future events, and so, the two of them, with increasing speed, rushed to the battlefield.

[Ra's al Ghul's mansion]

In the front yard, Talia's group was fighting with Ra's army. Right now, both of them are on par. Talia has managed to turn most of the forces against Ra's. Explosions, poison, and hidden weapons were flying around. Many have lost their lives already. The yard is painted red with the blood of the dead.

At one of the corners, Talia was confronting her sister Nyssa. Nyssa is still on Ra's side, still wanting her father's, acknowledgment, and follows him without knowing that she is nothing but a pawn in Ra's eyes.

"If only you could open your eyes, sister. We are nothing more than pawns in father's eyes," Talia attacked her sister, wanting to bring her over. Their swords clashed against each other, producing sparks in the process. The ground underneath their feet is like a small lake of blood. Both of the assassins stood proudly, showing no fear or worry.

"Big words coming from a traitor's mouth," Nyssa narrowed her brows, attacking Talia from a different angle. Their swords clash once more. After blocking each other's sword attacks and retreating, Nyssa asks, "Why did you betray us?"

"Because the League is not what it used to be anymore. We were supposed to maintain balance, but look at us now. Killing innocent people, destroying their cities. All so in the guise of saving this world that is filled with evil, this is no longer our path," Talia did not mince words as the two women continued their duel, both her and Nyssa skillfully dodging attacks and attacking like real ninjas.

Nyssa threw three daggers at Talia simultaneously and spoke, "Fool! You don't understand father's true intentions," She brandished her blade in mid-air and came again.

"I understand him better than anyone. I've been following him for 150 years, or have you forgotten?"

Talia shot a chain that bound Nyssa. As if she knew exactly how Nyssa would respond.

With a click of the tongue, Nyssa drew out a hidden blade from her glove and slashed the chain in two.

"That's why, you should have known father's true intentions. Sacrifices must be made in order to achieve balance. Sacrifice is necessary," Nyssa rushed into Talia's zone with a blast of speed.

"So many unnecessary sacrifices..." Talia dodged the attack and kicked Nyssa's back. Her sister managed to barely dodge the kick and jumped forward before she could suffer another loss. "Don't you see? All the sacrifices we have made so far were nothing more than the puppeteer's way of deception. All those kids... He stole away their future and turned them into assassins. He had never intended to help humanity at the start. Everything... This is all for his twisted need to become a God."

Nyssa turned towards Talia. With a sad sigh and a sad look in her eyes, Talia faced her sister and said, "Nyssa, join me. Help me create a better path for everyone. Let's bring back the reason League was born. It was to maintain the balance between good and evil. Instead of destroying one to the other, balance is to find the center and stabilize it. Don't you see? Father has lost sight of his reason, his vision. Everything is gone and buried under his never-ending lust for power. Don't you see the reason we are fighting right now? He manipulated you for this day. He predicted this day would come, and when it did, we would annihilate each other."

"That doesn't matter anymore. I'll defeat you today and bring your head to father. I'll finally prove that I'm better than you," Nyssa held her sword in a challenging pose as she finished talking.

Talia, who had just given her speech, only let out a light laugh.

"You stupid little sis, that inferiority complex is also father's work. But I guess, straight words won't reach your thick head, So, be it."

Both women took a ready position as the space between them fell silent and heavy. The ground beneath their feet felt like quicksand, waiting for them to give in.

Then, both of the sisters sprinted at the same time.
